Open up my fuel tank and put the nozzle in there !! I filled up my tank with unleaded!!! This Chevron is fairly new and clean!!! Then I rolled out and left and was gone with the wind fabulous!!!! For the Indian cashier. Honestly not 100% sure this is the right location but all the parking spots had "India cash and carry" on it and this is the closest gas station so... On Father's Day I had to fill my tires with air as one of them was critically low. They started up the machine for free but my tires were still alarming. After waiting a while for it to settle the alarms were still going off so I asked the cashier for help. The Employees are rude. Will not let anyone use the restroom. A Gas Station is a place to fill up your tank, buy a drink, snack, roadside items and use the amenities. The RESTROOM is a typical and most common need other than Gas. I Don't recommend stopping here if you have a long trip and need a one stop shop. You'll have to make 2 stops. 2nd closest Foster City gas station if you're coming from or going to the bridge. Also the closest gas station to my favorite peninsula Thai food place. It's clean, well spaced, easy to get in and out of AND I caught like 3 Pokemon while I waited for my tank to fill. They take credit cards, unlike the nearby Arco and the pumps rans smoothly so I didn't waste any time or energy. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I expect very little out of a gas station and this was definitely the worst experience I've ever had! Earlier tonight we stopped to fill up our gas. Inserted the card, filled up the tank, and were not given a receipt. My mom goes in and politely requests a receipt. The man behind the register tells her, "No, you have to pay inside." My mom politely tells him she had already paid with her American Express and had filled up. He starts YELLING at her in front of a line of customers that NO SHE DID NOT PAY BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY INSIDE TO GET GAS. He repeatedly starts to berate her, YOU HAVE NO GAS, YOU HAVE NO GAS, YOU HAVE TO PAY INSIDE. My mother by this time was at a loss for words and ready to burst into tears. He won't even let her explain or get in a word, continuing to YELL AT HER, in front of other customers, demanding she give him her card to pay because she could not have any gas. (And yet my tank was completely full!) At a loss of what to do, she ran outside to the car as the man continues yelling at her. I am absolutely furious this man would treat my mother this way. I will never, ever go near this establishment again and I would suggest that nobody else does either. I know, I know ... who the hell writes a review for a gas station. I mean, aren't they all the same!? They just sell gas, right? How can any one of them be that different than any other?! Well truthfully, there is nothing special about this Chevron, other than it's location. It's right on the corner of two major thoroughfares, in Foster City. Oh, yeah ... they also have free air! You can fill up your tires without a purchase. Whawhooo. I probably hit this place about once a month for a fill up. For this, I use my ATM card (I know, there are tons of financial and personal security risk to doing this!), and each time, I think, "damn it, I forgot that I wasn't going to come back to this gas station!" In an attempt to "protect" the consumer, this gas station has a transaction limit or a cap, on purchases. This means that when I hit $50, the friggin' pump shuts off and completes my transaction. This would all be well and good if I only needed $50 worth of gas, but my car has a big tank, and it usually takes about $60~$65 bucks to fill up, which means that I have to put the hose and nozzle back on the pump, and start all over! How lame is that?! With the prices of gas being as high as they are, why on earth would they have such a low purchase limit? Personally, I think they do it just to frustrate their customers. I will give them 3 stars just because I disliked running out of gas and going to Arco (the first one offered by Yelp from the point I was in San Mateo) and finding they only accept cash or ATM and I was only carrying one credit card. Luckily I found Chevron and my only complain was not the price (similar to the Arco prices) but the fact that most of the pumps were out of order. I found it odd but maybe they were under general repair or inspection. Overall, fast transaction and easy to get in and out. read more

I don 't advise you to fill up at this lousy gas station in any way. The owners of this gas station are crooks. Set the column gun shutdown to the minimum jet resistance threshold. As long as you refuel the tank, 15-20 times the gun will shut down. And instead of 50 - 60 $, fill up on the 30 - 35. This is what dishonest owners of filling stations in Russia do. Single Product Fail! It just baffles me when a coffee shop is out of coffee or a bagel shop is out of bagels. It's all they do!! How is it that you can't keep pumps working at a facility where that's all you do? This station is bizarre. They have three types of gas pumps: One's that simply don't work at all (they have an orange cone in front of them for easy identification). The second type of pump is the one that doesn't work but they haven't gotten a chance to position the cone in front of it yet. The third type of pump has a vapor lock that allows you to shoot a few drops of gas into your tank before it abruptly ceases to work. At that point you can choose how long you'd like to stand there blowing 25 cents worth of gas into your car in hope of filling it enough to get to station where the pumps actually work. OK...let's get inside the owners head. Some gas trade journal told him that snacks are more profitable than gas. Perfect. He has a tiny little mini-mart with all the staples a weary suburbanite might need to survive the grueling trips around town to the dry cleaner or Target. "Honey, I'm feeling a bit tired..please procure me a Clark Bar so I can make it to the post office." But wait. There's a whole other space 10 times that of the mini-mart that was at one time devoted to servicing cars. If you are trying to capture the maximum suburban snacking dollar why not convert that cavernous space into...more mini-mart?! You may need to hire an additional employee but that should be an issue right? So to recap....oh screw it...no reason to recap. This place needs a scrape. Then perhaps build in it's place a temple to motoring and snacking to which the Foster City multitudes shall flock. Pros - close to my aunts house , clean and right on the corner Cons- expensive, some what good service (could be better) and cigarettes are much expensive here . So if your looking for a cheap gas station I suggest you drive up couple miles on the freeway and you will find one . There is couple on El Camino real or just go down Hillsdale and you will find a few there . read more

Hey Chevron, Wake up. How long is the station going to continue NOT fixing the air hose which has been malfunctioning for the last 8 months? Although Chevron is conveniently located, the pumps regularly are down or malfunctioning and the pump receipt printers out of paper. Hating to acknowledge Chevron is most likely not going to invest more in its customers, I discovered that Touchless Car Wash is only 1 block away. The gas is the same price, no wait for the pumps AND THE AIR HOSE works flawlessly.....tires inflated to specs in seconds. Don't waste your time here. Apparently every pump has a mystery hold of $60-$100 on all credit card transactions. This was explained to me by the attendant. I may or may not have the funds released in up to three business days. If the charge processes you have to go through your card company to get your money back. read more

When you pay with cash they refuse to give you your Safeway discount. You go in give them cash and ask to give your Safeway number. They tell you to give it after. When you go back to give the number and get your change, they tell you you should have given the number before you pump. I said I tried and they they didn't understand. The pumps barely work. Cheapest Chevron gas in the FC/SM area, especially if you go on Tuesday (maybe I shouldn't post that!). I've used other types of gas and now strictly put Chevron in any car I'm driving if I have a choice. Other gas seems to make efficient cars like my Honda just chug and hesitate. My car always runs better on Chevron. This station is definitely at least $.20 cheaper than other Chevrons in this area (especially that rip off near Bev Mo). You pay more for Chevron than Arco, Shell, etc., but as I said, I think it's superior gasoline. I look forward to the day when we're all using biofuels! read more

Be very careful with this station. I had 2+ gallons in my tank and pulled in to fill up. The pump put 13.7 gallons of gas into my tank.....except my tank only holds 13.5 gallons. So according to their pump, my tank holds close to 16 gallons. Not what my owners manual says! When I asked the cashier, he got belligerent. Most times there is a pump open when you pull in. Reasonable pricing, no special perks, but I happen to prefer Chevron gasoline

Gasoline is ALWAYS 10 or 15 cents expensive as compared to Shell (at the intersection of Hillsdale & Norfolk).

Good prices. That is it. Otherwise, many of the pumps are out of order quite often. Machines are always out of receipt paper which ticks me off because I need them for work. This means I have to walk inside the store and there is a REALLY grumpy Chinese gent that obviously hates his job and is ticked off that he is working at a gas station. Overall, the owners are cheap. I just went to buy $20 of gas at pump 4' and the pump didn't take my credit card so I walk in and have the cashier $20 and ask for gas on pump 4! Then I went back to pump and it would not let me pump gas. It said insert credit card or see cashier. I then went back to the cashier and told her I'm not able to pump gas on pump 4. She said ok sir pump 4 and I sad yes. Then I went back out to pump 4 and it still was not working. I then went back into the station and told the lady at the counter that I'm still not able to get my gas on pump 4. Then she had the nerve to tell me she didn't remember me coming in there to give her $20 or remember putting $20 on pump 4. I told her I just came in her and gave you a twenty dollars with a crease down the middle of it and if you check you register you would fine a twenty with a crease down the middle of it. She told me to wait until someone came to pay for gas. I waited and when she open the register there was no $20 bills at all! So that told me my money never made it to the register.. She would not give me my gas and told me I would have to come see the manager at 6:00am. I'm so piss! This busy service station was closed for a while due to upgrades. The station looks nice but is already experiencing problems like tonight. The pumps would only distribute supreme gas at the supreme price. No one could figure out why the usual pumps weren't working only to notice a small handwritten sign in the door which was later removed. I frequent this station often due to convenience and find the staff there unaccommodating and quite unfriendly. I know it's just gas but it doesn't require much effort to provide some sort of service or at least make sure your pumps are in working order!! read more

At any one time 30-40% of their pumps don't work. For a major corporate gas station that is very poor availability.
