I had a very disappointing experience at Trader Joe's in San Carlos. I promised this bag to my…read moregirlfriend as her birthday gift, so I stopped by this store many times hoping to find it. During my last visit, I asked an employee if they had the bag, and he told me they didn't. However, I could clearly see the bag sitting on top of a box on the floor behind him. A few moments later, another employee, who may have been a manager, moved the bag behind another box to hide it. This made me feel like they intentionally didn't want to sell me the item. If the bag wasn't available for sale, they should have explained why instead of saying they didn't have it. After visiting the store so many times, I can't help but wonder if I've been given the same answer every time. I hope Trader Joe's looks into this situation and provides more honest and respectful customer service.

My family likes the Raley's brand of frozen foods, frozen vegetables, bran flakes, and coconut water. This isn't the cheapest store; however, they do carry quality ingredients. I will be stopping by this Redwood Shores location whenever I'm close by. Pro-tip: This location has an extensive cheese section and the meat and seafood counters are consistently serving people. Of course, the fresh fruits and vegetables are well organized, cared for, and welcoming.

I just finished a work out and wanted some chocolate milk and happened to be in the area. The milk listed for $6.49 non member and $3.99 with a membership. I asked politely if I could get the member price for this one item and was told "no". Ok, so you lost this sale and you lost any future sales. I have traveled throughout the USA and if I had a membership for every grocery store in every state it would be stupid. Many times a checker or manager just swiped their card and I appreciated it. But I guess this manager was too busy with all of 20 people in the store.

He would help me figure out how to change my method of payment and look for products and give me an update on the next shipment. Gary is so sweet and observant. I often have to check with the staff to help keep a cart of my product at the front and Gary would always look out for me. He even helped me put some perishables into a cooling bag because he didn't want my produce from another grocery to go bad while I shopped here. David is a helpful and efficient produce manager. He often helps me check on the availability of produces in the back and lets me know the status of the next shipment if possible! Fernando is a lovely and friendly fishmonger. He would answer all of my questions and help me get the freshest catch and ask about my day every time we meet. Edgar is a very kind and helpful fishmonger! He helped me with several of my requests to get frozen items in the back and he cuts extremely nice pieces of fish so that it's well trimmed and not broken in pieces. Denzel has a bright smile and knows his fish! He would help me search for the best fish and help me check what's in the back for me. He's very nice and friendly. Ray is a wonderful butcher who is very patient and welcoming. He also taught me the next best thing when certain items are out of stock. Walter - After I walked back and forth in the aisle, he checked in and offered to help me. I showed him a photo of the item and he checked aisle where just to find it. He was very helpful and friendly! There is also this one gentleman who is meticulous with the stacking of egg cartons, milk cartons and drinks! He doesn't have a clear name on his tag but I appreciate his attention to detail for the products! B or Brianna - She's a great fishmonger! She's professionally and definitely knows her stuff. She helped me cut a beautiful piece of fish and pack up nice crabs on my last visit. (There's a few more members that I'll include next time!) My only concern at this location is the sandwich department that is often unavailable due to technical difficulties and the lack of a coffee/smoothie bar that is common at other Whole Foods!

I had an interesting experience here today…read more First, some key observations: -NO PUBLIC RESTROOM -No carwash -small food shop with lots of stuff -very nice clerk -high gas prices It's mid-afternoon, and I'm driving down Woodside Rd with 1/4 tank of gas. Hmm, I better get gas before getting on Hwy 101-South to San Jose. I spot this Shell Station w/ a Food Shop, and decide to fill up. I carry the Shell gas card (with Premium status), and it gives me 5-cents off per gallon. While it's pumping away, I go into the food shop to checkout the snacks and drinks. OMG! No public restroom and that food shop is tight for space inside. But it's loaded with everything you could want. The usual stuff like: Snacks, drinks, sandwiches, candy, ice cream, etc. FACT: A hungry driver gets tired faster. So grab something to munch on while driving. The young lady working as cashier is very polite and patient with customers. This shop is small inside. When 3 customers come inside, you can barely turn around. I go out expecting the pump (# 3) to be finished. BUT NO! It stopped at the 5.5 gallon mark. Yikes, this is not good. I had to restart the pump, and then went back inside to find out why the pump stopped. The polite cashier told me pump #3 sometimes stops for no reason due to vibrations or shaking. Uh-okay, so the nozzle clicks off due to ground vibration. Okay, so more time to buy more junk food for the road. Gas prices are high here. On Feb 10, 2023, UL REG was $4.85 without discounts. Midgrade and Prem are over $5-gallon. But this station is on Woodside Road. A major roadway leading to freeways. Heavy traffic flow. People like me carry the gas cards of five major brands of gasoline. Shell is top tier gas, and today Shell got my business. This location has no carwash. There is enough room to maneuver pickup trucks, SUVs, and light trucks pulling trailers. Good luck when leaving, there's some tight turns around the islands. Subject: Complaint Regarding Very Bad Customer Service…read more I would like to report a very disappointing experience I had at your Shell station this morning, Sept 25 at approximately 8:30 AM. I am a regular customer who frequently purchases fuel at this location, and I have always had positive interactions with the staff. However, my experience today with a female employee described as having blonde curly hair, tall, chubby was unacceptable. I came into the store to purchase lottery tickets and brought coins that I had carefully counted and organized in advance. My transaction was very simple and should not have required a significant amount of time. Instead of completing my transaction, the employee repeatedly attended to other customers while leaving me standing at the counter without properly finishing my purchase. Although there may have been a language barrier, that should not have prevented her from providing basic customer service, paying attention, or treating me with respect. Throughout the interaction, she appeared uninterested, unfriendly, and dismissive. She did not acknowledge the inconvenience caused, showed no effort to assist me, and came across as very rude. As a result, I spent nearly an hour waiting when my transaction should have taken only a few minutes. I found this treatment particularly disappointing because all of the other employees I have encountered at this location have always been courteous, friendly, and helpful. I am not writing this complaint lightly. As a loyal customer, I believe every customer deserves to be treated respectfully and served in a timely manner. I hope management will review this incident and provide the appropriate coaching and training to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any actions taken to address this concern.
