Pushy, invasive, and tone-deaf. This is not how you treat paying customers. Repeated questioning, zero respect for boundaries. Manager needs retraining -- silence is also a valid response.

Amendeep, id say he's the manager. Needs to be re train to be customer friendly.

This guys are rude. They would talk to their language & would smirk right after. I was just asking for help about getting different kind of lotto.

Extra Large 7-Eleven's blend coffee. Really good coffee.

Came here for a cup of Extra Large 7-Eleven's own blend of coffee. Really good coffee and i added hazelnut creamer. Super yummylicious. This was at 3:30am on a Friday. 1/20/2023. Not sure why the bad reviews on here. Staff here are superb at what they do. They are awesome!! Super nice and helpful. The guy with the limp is so hard working. He made sure i got the freshest brewed coffee. He told me to pour what i got, in the sink so i can fill it up with fresh brewed coffee. Yes, the store is super small for the amount of items they carry. They try their best in keeping it organized and it is organized. Just a lot of items. At least they are good in keeping things stocked. It looks like a really old building. But it's clean. Lots of parking. Convenient location. Put the cosmetics of the store aside and look at what they have to offer. Good service and good products. You are not going to find hot food here at 3 am due to little foot traffic. I definitely recommend this 7-Eleven in San Mateo.

Busy 7-11 on Concar Drive in San Mateo, right near the Hwy 101 x Rt 92 interchange. At 410pm, the parking lot was full, but they share a lot with a a shopping center so no problem finding a space. I didn't see any homeless people hanging around, but there was a police car sitting in the parking lot. The store was well stocked and busy. Lots of hot foods. I got a 1/4 Lb hotdog, which was fresh. The bun was soft, like it should be. My coworker got an egg sandwich, which was fresh. Service was fast and efficient. Not alot of chatter. Next door to Trader Joes.

Once in a long while I get a quick 7-Eleven fix. Slurpees, random snacks, and lotto tickets.

Its a 7-11 so I'm not sure what people expect. As long as they have coke slurpees when I'm in the area craving one then I'm fine.

I've driven by this place a hundred times and there's almost always a line of 20-30 people outside…read more This morning I decided to wait in that line. Super funny that the couple behind me commented that they go here all the time and there's never a line. After about a 40 minute wait, I got to the cashier at around 10:20am. Half the pastries like the ube brioche were already out so I opted for just the lattes. I played it safe and got the Tahitian vanilla latte. I will say that it's good quality coffee. Didn't need to add sugar. It didn't come super hot though so as I took it away, I downed it pretty fast! I got my mom and aunt the ice latte version of the black sesame and the brown sugar. Sounds like both were good as well. The black sesame wasn't sweet, which was to my aunt's liking. Inside, it's very clean and not crowded. What helped is that there is a sign that tells the people in line that only 6 people at a time should line up inside. If I have the time, I'd line back up. 4.5/5 stars, but I'll round up.

When you walk in, there is always someone there to greet you and inform you of the new crepe cakes available and what they have in stock. So far, I've tried the Hokkaido Milk Crepe Cake, the Matcha Crepe Cake, Tiramisu Crepe Cake, the Pistachio Crepe Cake, the matcha tart and the mango panna cotta. My favorites are the Hokkaido Milk Crepe Cake and the Pistachio Crepe Cake. All of the cakes are not too sweet and have great balance. It's so good that you don't even realize that it's done. If you're feeling adventurous, give the Panna Cotta a try. It won't disappoint! Overall, one of the best crepe cakes I've had on the West Coast.

Pickup was at the San Mateo location, which is right by the caltrain station. Its a super small storefront for carryout only. They have a kitchen but most of the cakes are made at other locations and brought over for pickup. Unfortunately we were not super impressed by the biscoff crepe cake. While the design was cute and the crepes were thin, there wasnt enough biscoff creme (only about 1 layer for every 4-5 layers of plain vanilla creme) for the flavor to really come through. For a special holiday flavor like this, we expected a stronger biscoff flavor. If theres a special again, we'd be willing to give another flavor a try!

Visit July 2026:…read more Hmmm....I really wanted to like this place more. It's cute. It's clean. They are friendly. It's a good vibe. But dang it....I paid nearly $11 for a Good Morning Burrito (ham, eggs, tots, a ton of cheese) that was only the length of my iPhone 14. Great taste but I was hungry still. Plus I wish it had come with some sort of salsa. There was a hot sauce bottle, bulk size, that was almost empty so I said meh. A homemade salsa would be a nice touch. My daughter got a vegetarian omlette which was basically a mushroom omlette. That seemed a good size but basic mushrooms and they had a side of spinach with some sort of dressing which I was sure was just mayo. There were a sad four tots on the side. She didn't like her matcha latte and my Vietnamese coffee lacked kick. They are well situated to serve the area and clearly have regular business. For that younger tech crowd across at Sony this seemed like a spot for them to pound away at their laptops while drinking boba and listening to lo-fi jazz.

I got an iced HK style coffee + milk tea which I've never had before but was so delicious. I'd definitely come back to try the other fruity drinks too! we ordered the tom yum noodles, preserved vegetables & pork noodle soup, salt & pepper fries, and the HK style french toast with peanut butter. the french toast was our favorite- it was fluffy and chewy and was just like the HK classic. the noodle dishes were both so hearty and flavorful too, and the portions were a good size. it did take a bit long for everything to come out, but it did seem like there was only one person working and she was very kind and accommodating when we had questions about our order. we didn't mind at all, especially sitting outside and enjoying the view! overall, I'll for sure be back for the drinks and to try some other HK style street food.

Or, maybe Kazka can upgrade from the camping utensils and serving plates for a slightly more elegant experience...it didn't quite fit in, yknow? First up Hong Kong French toast. It was delivered deep fried as expected, but it was really oily so maybe the oil wasn't quite hot enough? They also forgot the condensed milk but did run it over later. We also didn't get it stuffed so maybe it also would have been better if we did? I've had better variations. Next up, the bbq pork plate. This was actually pretty good! Their homemade cha siu was tender and tasty! Egg on rice is also a classic staple here but I also felt like it was missing just a bit of something, maybe more juice from the pork? Idk, I really like when the fattiness of the HK deli meats coats the rice. Lastly, fries. Pretty standard but piping hot and fresh! I could appreciate it. The yuzu thinned out the mayo considerably but the flavor was really good still. I think I'd return. There were some combos that were already sold out when we came so we should probably give it another go.
