It is open 24 hours and customer service is great. Has a little pricey but doable. Tell the Frito Lay to bring more Ruffles sour cream

The 1545 Cockrell Hill location has terrible customer service. I went there this morning and I…read moreaccidentally told her the wrong pump. She watched me come in the door from the location where I was and she watched me return to the same door after she took my money for the gas and then I went right back in and she already telling me that someone else had pumped my gas on the other side of the store. And yes, I take accountability that I told her the wrong number to the pump but don't yell at me and lie to me saying someone else pumped my gas already when it was only less than 30 seconds before I returned to the store plus the other customer had NOT pumped their gas yet. Second, the cashier did not even try to go and stop the person from pumping the gas. She just literally yelled at me and told me I would have to go and do it myself because it was nothing they could do about it because it was already pumped by someone else, which was a total lie..,,., The lady hadn't even started pumping her gas yet, but was polite enough to come back in the store and pay for my gas....when I returned in the store, I let the cashier know that this person has not even pump my gas yet but I still got yelled at; cashier telling me that's not my problem It's your fault. SMH; all I can say is times have changed because when I was growing up and getting my first jobs as cashiers, we were told that the customer is always right, especially if it's something that we can fix and it could've easily been fixed by her going out telling that customer not to pump their gas since they had not already started pumping, and she lied and said that they had pumped it already. To top it off, she lied on me quickly, and said that I was being rude and yelling at her when I was NOT. There was other customers in the store telling me to please report the cashier for being rude and disrespectful to their customers regularly because they are always like that at that location, so I hope this reaches the right person..... #Cashiers need to be trained with better customer skills#

This review is solely on purchasing gas. Over the past few months, this location has become my go…read moreto for gas. Their prices are competitive and I like the fact that all their pumps tend to be in working order. Occasionally, my receipt does not print at the pump but that I am able to get one inside without much of a wait. Inside, they have the typical gas station/convenience store items available. They do a bit better when it comes to items like sandwiches, pastries, etc. as I am sure they source most of it from the Tom Thumb grocery store directly across the street. Another nice thing is unlike many other places nearby, there are never any 'undesirables' hanging around the entrance (or the gas pumps) which is a big plus. Access to this station is fairly easy as it's rare for traffic to backup in the area. Lastly, while I have never used it, they do have an air compressor available to take care of any low-tire-pressure needs.

She then had a cashier page someone to come to the desk...the young lady that came sat her purse and her drink down...looked at me and proceed to walk away from the desk and do other things. she ended up on the opposite side of the store and just left me standing at the service desk. I understand it she had a task to complete but she didn't even acknowledge that I was standing there...no "I'll be with you in a second" NOTHING! I finally just left frustrated and in disbelief.

You've probably heard of a certain Southern beaver-esque gas station, and that place is definitely…read moreworth a visit. However, if you only have time for one fuel stop in Texas, Fuel City is where it's at. The tacos at Fuel City rival some of the best ones I've had in the Lone Star state, but bring cash and make sure to read the menu carefully - cheese, for example, is extra. I've had the pleasure of visiting Fuel City in both Haltom and Dallas, both providing delicious tacos, fun taxidermy, and some live animals to boot. The car washes and e-Chargers are particularly popular, too. Open 24 hours. Come for the animals, stay for the tacos.

Fuel City used to be a reliable local staple for a quick meal, but it has completely gone downhill…read more It has always been sketchy due to being right next to the jail, but it used to at least be tolerable for a cheap, late night bite. Now, there is absolutely zero reason to pull in here. Between the sketchy crowd, overpriced convenience store items, and garbage food safety, it is a complete rip off. I actually like their tacos, but the price increases have made them completely not worth it anymore. Eating 7 tacos pushes you over $20, which is sit down restaurant territory for some quick grab and go food. For the price of each taco, you will get two layers of tortilla with a sprinkle of meat and onion. Let's do the math: for the price of just two of these tacos, I can go to In N Out and get a Double Double. That gets me two 100% pure beef patties packing 37 grams of actual protein, and I will leave completely full. What am I supposed to do with two Fuel City tacos? Use them to fill the spaces between my teeth? Also, skip the snacks inside. They price gouge like crazy! Sometimes nearly 2x what you would pay at 7-Eleven or Tom Thumb (which are not even cheap to begin with). Last time I checked, a bag of Hot Cheetos here was 6 bucks! For perspective, they are $3.97 at Walmart and $4.79 at Target. It is a total rip off. The final straw was the horchata. I bought two cups at 6:00 PM, drank one, and put the second straight into the fridge. By midnight, it had completely curdled and turned sour. It was clearly spoiled and at the end of its shelf life when sold, and it gave me a case of the runs later that night. This place survives solely on ancient hype, out of town truck drivers, transients who do not know the area, and nighttime biker meet ups. No local should pay a massive premium for gas station tacos and food poisoning when authentic neighborhood taquerias and actual burger joints offer real value for a less money.

I agree with other reviews I've seen online, this place is never open before 7/730 AM. Store looks like it's still stuck in the 90s even after "updates" ...think minimalist texas chainsaw massacre. Thought being courteous in the service industry was a given, but I guess it depends on management and training.

The folks that work there actually call it Lakewood Exxon, although many locals still call it the Cave. The great news is the nearly hidden Beer Cave still exists AND is still guarded by the bear! The cave has an outstanding selection of cold beers of various breweries from far and wide. Plus many of the local brews are in there chilling! It is a great place to walk in on a really hot day as you brew browse. The wine selection outside of the cave is quite good for a gas station. There is yet another large cooler with all kinds drinks. There are a few of the common food items on the shelves to include Velveeta! Now I know where I can quickly get my queso making supplies and chips before grabbing a couple at my hangouts. This place sells lottery tickets and all kinds of other convenience store products. You can get your laundry soap and paper towels on the way to one of the local bars or restaurants that are within eye sight or around the corner to Lower Greenville! This place is nearly at the center of my universe! Or at least the Skillman/Live Oak/LaVista world! I've heard one of the nearby bar tender/drink making wizards send patrons here for their tobacco needs. It is walking distance from at least 4 bars and 4 restaurants. I might even know of a patron who tried to walk off a drink by shopping here. If nothing else, get a picture of your date with the bear! The store and pumps are open from 6 AM to Midnight.
