How cool is that!?! This year marks the 60 year anniversary of the iconic Slurpee!! When I was a kid many, many moons ago, I would ride my bike up to 7-Eleven and use my babysitting money to buy the essentials- candy, snacks, magazines and a Slurpee!! My favorite Slurpee was mixing the Cherry and Coke flavors to make a Cherry Coke. Today we were in the area of this 7-Eleven location at 9750 Walnut Hill Lane for a family member's birthday. I had read earlier in the day in the Dallas Morning News, that there would be a fun date experience so we decided to stop in on our way to the birthday party. I'm so glad we did!! This 7-Eleven location is amazing!! It's so clean and modernized! It was set up as a fun "date experience" and boy was it ever fun!! They had a DJ, photographer, photo-op spot, very kind and friendly people helping make and serve up the free Slurpee's in your choice of flavors. After the photographer took your pic, they could send it to your phone and also print it off! How cool is that!?! I will definitely be coming back here very soon because it was such a fun and tasty experience. Nothing like a Slurpee on a hot Summer day! Thank you 7-Eleven for letting this "young at heart" woman reminisce about my younger days while enjoying a refreshing and delicious free Slurpee!!

The selection of teas at this convenience store rivals Central Market. During the 2021 snowstorm, a line of dad's stood by as this place made batches upon batches of taquitos. You could have put them on a plate with a garnish and served them at a Tex-Mex restaurant, and I would have been fooled. I have gone inside on Christmas Day, and the workers are still so enthusiastic that you wouldn't even think that they were at work. I'm not sure why they turned this 7-Eleven into a Whole Foods competitor, but I am glad that they did.

He was cleaning but still attentive to his surroundings. I hesitated to get some pizza but it looked so freshly baked. I just commented on it but told him I don't need it for my diet. Still had my puppy eyes while finishing paying so he gave me a complimentary slice. This went a long way for me as he understood my hesitation as a customer and went out of his way by doing one simple customer service gesture without me asking. Need more people like him in all convenient stores. Not to give out complimentary items but to provide that customer service that makes one remember that specific store. People won't always remember everything you say or do, but they will remember how you made them feel.

The employees are all nice, some friendlier than others. The fountain drink station is always pretty clean, these are located to the right. I mention this because when you first walk in its a little difficult to tell - it literally looks like its for employees only or something but if you keep walking you'll see theres a small aisle. The coffee here is good and strong. Of course its the freshest in the mornings. They have fresh pastries and donuts daily, and hourly they have the pizza by the slice, wings, tacos, etc. Its very quick to get in and out of here. What I DON'T like is the gas pumps. It never feels like its filling up at a steady pace, and I always seem to run through my gas quick when I get it from here. So I no longer get any fuel here, its mostly for red bulls, coffee and pizza. Xo.
