On October 23 I bought 10 car wash for $49.95. After I paid I got a receipt and the gate opened for me to continue to the wash machine. On November 10 I came the next time to wash my car, but denied. They claimed that when I paid on the 23rd. The machine issued a ticket which I did not pick up, so any one could taken the ticked and they relate to the ticket as used. They even show me a picture of a ticket in the machine. My questions are: 1. If I paid and tots receipt why they immediately open the gate for me to drive to the washing, before picking the ticket? Isn't it contributory negligence? 2. When they show me the picture of the issued ticket I could not determined that it was for me. Well this this a time where the smaller things don't matter as much. And you will find out my review is appropriate considering the time we're in. Last weekend was going to Ralph's pharmacy on overland and Jefferson for medicine. It was a nice day out and there in the middle of the intersection was an open car wash. It the same style as Tommy's Express on Robertson. Needs a few operators to run in, especially guiding your left front wheel into the track. So its definitely not automated. I bought a ticket fro the works at $14.96 and pulled up to the entrance where and operator guided me into driving my car where it connects with the track. Then told me to put into into neutral as I was set. The was was a bit louder than Tommy's expresses but didn't sense anything truly wrong. Car was done, soapy hood and streaked windows... lousy job but was still clean. It wasn't until I had parked my car at Ralph's, did I notice the dozen or so chips on my left, rear window. My MB, beautiful car what did they do. Immediately I return to the car wash. Was told by the operator that he say that window before my car went through, it was undamaged. Ok so let's get a claim going. Oh no can do that until the manager is back on Monday! They even wanted to hold on to my receipt to show the manager, let them take a photo. The give me a business card for the store manager, Mr. Mathew Pouldar. I email Pouldar about the incident and that it's a very simple case of negligence, please expedite. Response was just need a couple of days to review the tapes. Few day go by I email Pouldar, it's been more time than requested and I need my window repaired ASAP. His response was in the midst of Covid 19 that it would take quite some time to handle my request. What! Busy gas station going to use this corona virus thing to try and get out of paying me. No way. No freaking way did this guy just go there. Now it was on. And by Pouldar's excuse I decided to check with the county office of public health. Turns out ALL car washes, regular, self serve, automated and partially automated are all Non-Essential businesses. Mr Pouldar was operating his business illegally under the covid-19 response act. His has services and minuscule mini-mart was essential, the car was was not! The business must have thought to take advantage of people like me, impulse customer who said ok. Who isn't a business owner and wouldn't know my business, my car was was mandated to be closed and until further notice.. I emailed Pouldar and he turned insane, telling me I'm horrible for trying to take work away from his employees. There was nothing more I could say, after I reported him I let him know his business was being inspected, that the country has my proof they were open that day, that a fine and closure was next. Obviously I knew I'd have to sue for window reparations on my car. Pouldar is I lying, thieving cook and please under no circumstance do business here. There are no difference between the car wash is even though they appear to have variances. The work of them selves are in different. Avoid. Went to this car wash today for the 1st. time. I bought the wash that was right under the hand wax. I saw my car go through the wash. I went outside, could not find my car. I went over to the vacuum side and here is my car in line for another vacuum. I asked what was going on and the "manager" I suppose said he didn't know what happened but he'd get my car in there right away,. It was finally done, I got in my car, my passenger side right seat had not been vacuumed or cleaned. No air freshener. So here I go again, talk to the "manager" he said ok we will put it through again. I'm like no, I've been here long enough, I'm out.. A day later I got an email from "Matt Poulder" claiming he looked into the claim and chose to deny it. He arbitrarily accused me of having "many scratches on my door" - it's a brand new car. I used to come here for a car washes, stopped coming because it wasn't the best, but I was in the area today thought I'd get a quick wash and wow it's somehow worse than before. The car wash STICKS like awful sewage. Held my nose the whole way through. Got out to dry the car and half the car was covered in soap. Women do be crazy sometimes. After receiving harsh words from a close female family member earlier today, I went from feeling like not-that-bad-a-person-in-general to accused and bewildered. Since I didn't feel like dashing in front of one of L.A.'s many speeding cars to make up for my perceived offense, I decided to give her some space and myself a non-violent mood lifter. Time for a car wash! I rarely ever get asked to recommend an everyday car wash, but if I had to suggest one it would be the Chevron located on Overland and Jefferson. It's automatic, it's quick, it's affordable, it cleans well, it's open until 8pm, and it's conveniently there. There are several combo or a la carte items for you to choose from on the blue "menu" board to the right of the wash, and staffers do a reasonably thorough surface pre-clean prior to sending your car inside. The Car Wash: Shift into neutral, and sit back as the conveyor belt pulls your vehicle through the heavy entry piles slapping the windshield and the sides of the car. Once you're inside, clear your mind to focus on the brief minutes of, depending on what you paid for, cleaning, scrubbing, waxing, polishing, spraying, and drying going on around you. Towards the end of the ride, if your mind hasn't wandered away on its own, you may be able to sense the dryer vacuums sucking out any bad vibes inside the car as well as most of the water drops on the outside. After the wash is over, the car is clean, and figuratively, so are you. If you don't happen to swing into the lot at precisely the right moment on the weekends, try again later when the long line shortens, but if you're patient enough to wait in line, you can always save yourself and other drivers some time by pre-paying at the counter and placing your wash marker on top of your car. The usual fill 'er up services can be found here as well, including Chevron's signature Techron gas with 20 cents/gallon Vons reward redemption discounts (see in-store for details!), and an extremely limited convenience store around the register, but we usually just come by for the wash. The car wash is one of the cheapest with a full drive-thru and an attendant that scrubs your car with a long scrub brush before you enter. The car is pretty clean afterwards. They also provide free vacuuming after you are through the wash. However, your car will stink really badly for awhile (weeks) after going through it. I must say that i will never go back to this place to wash my car. i took my brand new car to the station, which has been renewed and i never expected that a wash would damage the paint of my car, on top and in front the paint was completely damaged and hope that after i show the photos to the manager, that he would fix and pay, this is what he wrote me: we have checked video footage and unfortunately we can no accept this claim. your vehicle arrived on site before you entered the wash, covered in pigeon/bird droppings. droppings covered the entire roof, side bumper, etc.. this alone can cause paint abrasion marks, paint fading, etc... in order to clean your vehicle, a sponge/broom that is made for vehicle use, was used. the pigeon/bird droppings could have easily caused your paint abrasion after being cleaned by the sponge/broom. this can not be our responsibility. as i mentioned, we use this same sponge/broom on hundreds of vehicles daily. never have received a clim that our broom/sponge was the reason for paint scratches.once again, i know this is not what you want to hear, however we simply wash vehicles with approved items only. he knew that this is a poor excuse, and a huge lie. if you love your car, do not take there, they will damage your car and will not take any responsibility. he is saying that the birds droppings it what caused all the damage in my car. i have photos of it. read more

I only get gas here sometimes because if you go to Overland and Venice that gas is cheaper. I do like to come here for the car wash though. It's one those automatic drive-through ones. The cheapest car wash is $5.99. You can go to the cash register and pay or pay at the gas pump and sometimes I even just give the guy who's manning the car wash station six dollars.I love the automatic carwash because it's the only one that's in my neighborhood. All the other ones are the kind we have to wait half an hour so for them to detail your car by hand which is great at times but I hate sitting there and waiting. I only wish the car wash here was open really late. I don't know what the hours are but it seems to only really be during business hours or during the daytime. read more

Bought a car wash card for $50. The machine didn't give me a receipt or a card. I stayed there for about 30 mins arguing with the manager juan to rectify the issue with his broken machine. He said he couldn't do anything about it. He asked me to come back in a week with my bank statement because the payment was still pending. He also said it's out of his control, that he couldn't write me a note to document the incident. All this to say I paid $50 for a car wash card that shows on my credit card, don't have the car wash card or the receipt to prove it only my bank statement. So I'll have to go back in a week or two with my bank statement to get my card. Wow!!. How lame. Car washes are supposed to be quick, not last two weeks. read more

This is now the 3rd month of Covid and going stir crazy!! I really needed to get out of the house for the day!! That being said, I know I needed a car wash and never been to this Chevron Gas / Car wash, I called to see if they were open.. The man on the phone was very nice and told me how this works.. I drove their 30 minutes later and was very easy paying and selecting the type of wash I wanted... It was actually a lot of fun staying in the car during the wash!! Free vacuum too!!! This review is for the car wash: The lines for the car wash are hit and miss. I haven't figured out when the peak hours are. The line usually extends into the middle aisle of pumps, which can get tricky when people are using them. It's only $6 for a regular wash. I suggest paying at the cashier driving your car in line. You can pay when you get to the front of the line, but it holds up the line since they then have to go inside and swipe your credit card. Be considerate and just pay before you get in line! The actual wash takes less than 5 mins. You sit in the car as it is pulled through the sprayers. On your way out, you pass through these vacuum arm thingys that suck the water off your car. It never does a good job. I usually swing back around to the pumps, and use the squeegee to dry my windows. This car wash is quick and cheap. I guess I shouldn't have high expectations, but I'm never satisfied with the outcome. read more

The quickest car wash and dry I could get for my car. They close at 8pm sharp, and I was in at 7:50pm. The car behind me did not make it, since they put the "closed" sign just after me. Very polite staff, brushed the bird droppings off first, let it soak for two minutes then sent the car into the automatic wash cycle. Car was pretty clean.
