Another 5 star experience at this CVS! I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor who sent in for refills. It was Friday afternoon and I got the text from CVS that it was ready for pickup before I got home from the doctor's office. Again, this CVS is at the Runway Play Vista complex and on a Friday around dinner time, you might be worried about finding parking since there are a number of great restaurants in the complex - but this CVS has dedicated parking spots and there was plenty of parking spots available for CVS customers. And again they validate. There was virtually no line to pick up my prescriptions and I was in and out in a flash. 5 stars from beginning to end. read more

I am writing this review regarding the pharmacy counter staff named Almira at CVS Pharmacy. This is already the second time I have experienced rude and unprofessional behavior from her while checking out my prescription. She was disrespectful, and showed poor customer service. Instead of making customers feel comfortable and welcomed, her attitude came across as rude and dismissive. I believe pharmacy staff should treat all customers with professionalism, patience, and respect. Came in to see if my new Primary Dr had reached out to this pharmacy to make sure they were in sync. To my pleasant surprise the line moved well and perhaps more importantly, the employees within the pharmacy all had smiles, were attentive, and had a pleasant overall energy-what you're saying something for this location. The only slight drawback was the fact that you still have to go up to the front and wait in a line with other non pharmacy customers in order to get your parking ticket validated. If you came solely for a pharmacy related reason, you should be able to get your parking ticket validation stamped there as well you would think. Either way, at least the customer service aspect of things are looking up. Perhaps management got the memo? Let's hope so! read more

Employees were pleasant, store is pretty well stocked and love the convenient attached garage parking. But I really wish CVS would come up with another alternative to protect items from theft. I have made appointments with the pharmacy numerous times and they are always late. They obviously do not value their clients time. How can they be trusted with injecting me with something when they can't even keep an appointment? Today my 11am appointment did not mean anything to them as they were NOT busy but couldn't see me until 11:30. I don't trust them any longer. read more

Provider here. The staff doesn't answer their provider line. I tried 3x and was on hold for between 30 minutes to 48 minutes before I gave up. I tried the patient line and you have to leave a voicemail. If the prescriber cannot communicate with the pharmacy when there is an issue; what good are they? Go somewhere else, folks. Fantastic Pharmacy Experience! I started using this pharmacy because it's conveniently located right across the street from my doctor's office. From the start, I had a great experience--the staff were very friendly and helpful! I asked the pharmacist about the cost of one of my prescriptions and how I might get it for less. She gave me excellent advice: check the manufacturer's website for a savings program. I followed her suggestion, signed up for a savings card, and ended up saving! The new robot options are HORRIBLE. Been using the old one that allows you to dial your options right away. It was also much easier to access a pharmacist. This new one doesn't let you dial anything, you must wait for it to finish speaking, and then wait even longer after it finishes speaking to talk to it and hope it understands you. It also has more hoops you have to jump through to get what you want if you can even make it that far before it goes silent and stops replying for long periods or hangs up on you. So bad. I am happy to update this review once they change back or make better the calling process. The staff at the pharmacy are wonderful and have been so helpful to me. They do a great job, are knowledgeable, and do their best to help. The calling process is awful and it may be a ploy to get more people on their app which isn't as big of a help either. I went into CVS to buy shampoo, which was locked up. I rang the bell several times and waited awhile for someone to help me. Finally, I went to the cashier to ask for help. The manager, Jared, (flippantly) said "we don't answer when a vendor is working in one of the locked cases because we don't know if it is a false request or not". That is NOT the thing to say to a customer and very POOR customer service. I told him that he should never say that to a customer and he doubled down. Jared needs to be reprimanded and counseled on what good customer service looks like. Even though the manager needs to be counseled on what customer service looks like, the cashier was very helpful. read more

They can care less about the patient. They usually have 5-6 people working and only one will use the register, and that person has to ask the pharmacist a question every second. A run around! First, CVS on Mindanao did not have my medicine for the surgery I had today, and said it would take 2 to 3 days to get it.. Secondly, the Mindanao CVS told me to go to Playa Vista because they had it in stock. Third, Playa Vista said the prescription was locked from Mindanao was locked and so I had to go back to Mindanao to get it released. Fourth, when I finally got my prescription released, Playa Vista had a line that was 15 people long only two people working the line. I just got out of surgery this morning and I cannot stand in a line that's going to take an hour to get my medicine. This is so frustrating. I would not recommend anyone use the CVS Pharmacy in either Playa Vista or on Mindanao. I'm giving up on the medicine. read more

CVS on Jefferson in Playa Vista is a great neighborhood pharmacy and store. Parking is right next to CVS in parking structure. CVS validates parking for 1 hour. Well organized aisles/sections with good selection of products. OTC pharmacy section well stocked and with good variety of products. Pharmacy itself is pretty good. Sometimes a little slow but haven't had much other issues with them. They also provide immunizations which is great. read more

I'm very unhappy about my,iability to connect to the CVS Pharmacy when I call it on the phone. I wait forever for someone to pick up my call. I paid for the medication by credit card as instructed and have been attempting to call back as I was told to do. But no one picks up my call. I've called three times and waited 15 or more minutes each time before hanging up and calling again later hoping someone will pick up my call. My wife is an Alzheimer's patient lying in bed and I am approacing my 94th birthday with physical disabilities of my own. I'm trying to get my wife's medication delivered to our residence. This pharmacy is completely incompetent. I highly suggest talking your prescriptions to another pharmacy if you care about your health. I called on Sunday requesting a refill and was told the medicine would be ordered and arrive by Tuesday. I called on Monday to followup to make sure it was ordered and was told it had been. I called on Tuesday to make sure it was ready and was told it would be ready at 6:30pm. I arrived only to be told my prescription was not ready, was not ordered, and was not on the shelf/none available at this store. This has happened twice. This is about the pharmacy- I went in to try to get a new birth control subscription as the old one gave me side effects, and the pharmacist told me in very unclear terms that she was too busy and hasn't done all the steps or checks to prescribe it. She told me to go upstairs, to the urgent care, which would be a stupid out of pocket expense especially when I'm supposed to be getting it FREE through CVS per my history with them and my insurance. The only thing she did was write down the name of my old birth control, which I knew already... and tell me to go somewhere else. So, either pay a ridiculous amount for URGENT CARE or go to another CVS when this is my prescribing pharmacy and I should not have to run around town getting a basic prescription bc someone won't do their job. this location has gone from being human friendly to being completely completely off the rails when it comes to their rules. As if nothing has changed from the world pre-pandemic, they treat their customers like school moms. I came in this morning to get a pack of batteries, while I was on my walk with my little dog. We walked in got the batteries, and as were checking out, we were approached by a gentleman, asking me repeatedly if this dog is a service dog. And I said he's my dog... And he said pets are not allowed only service animals are allowed. I'm sorry you sell pet supplies and don't let a small dog in on a leash with their owner who is clearly controlling them and doing nothing more than buying a pack of batteries. Get a grip read more

Such a horrible pharmacy, worst I've experienced. Every time I go, there is always a problem. Whether it's giving me the INCORRECT medication, waiting for 45 minutes for something I was notified was 'ready' etc. there's always, always an issue. Not to mention, whenever I need help and give them a call, I typically wait on hold for over thirty minutes, only to have them hang up on me. If I could give a 0 star I would! Customer service is horrid. They racially profiled my friend and I, Kalil (Manager I guess, don't know if that's correct since he wouldn't even write down his name for me). He denied us our purchase of alcohol, mind you I am 32 years old, stating that we had been in the store 10 minutes prior trying to purchase alcohol. I asked him to show me proof that we had been in the store since they have cameras all over, but all he could do is tell me to leave and deny my money. Sorry CVS your customer service is HORRIBLE. The experience im having with this pharmacy is astonishing. My doctor sent in an rx, they filled something else and gave it to me. I had to return it and wait for them to fill the correct rx. THEY GAVE ME A WRONG RX. This is dangerous. Now they are telling me its too soon to fill my rx. Telling me it was filled 5 days later than it was.( I have the fill tag that states the date). I am a caregiver who comes to this cvs regularly. My bosses dog is a service animal, which had a vet appointment and sometimes there's a long line to pick up medicine, mind you the pick up from the pharmacy was great, Letty was super kind and sweet. The cashier who validated my parking pass was super kind too. The manager or whatever who was on the floor, I didn't get his name was super sarcastic and rude. "What can he do"... asking about the service animal. He said the dog can't be here because other dogs poop and pee. Other animals aren't allowed. She's a "service" animal. I even explained to him the situation about being a "caregiver" and that I was picking up medicine for my boss. And that the dog shouldn't be left in the car because I had taken her to the vet and he said, "well you should know about regulations and "health codes". Wtf does that mean? I told him that I was going to leave. I feel like I was harassed especially because he was trying to be "polite", but he was so mean. read more

This place is absolutely worthless; the last 3 times I've tried to get a same-day prescription called in by my doctor, the following scenario plays out: 1. I call to confirm availability & pickup time 2. No one answers the phone, so I drive there -- while still on hold -- and stand in line 3. When I get to the front of the line (30 min later, still on hold on my cell, BTW) they tell me the meds are actually out of stock, even though the computer shows inventory. So I go home empty handed, and suffering when answering a phone call would have solved the problem. A complete waste of time. I know this is 2020, but this mismanagement is pathetic. read more

Not sure why the reviews are so horrible. This is my go to CVS (and pharmacy) even though there are closer locations to me. It's in the Runway plaza, there are dedicated parking spots for CVS customers (and they validate). Staff has always been pleasant. I haven't really bought much in the actual store, but it's a decent size, so i imagine their inventory is decent. For the pharmacy itself, there's only been ONE time that it took a bit longer. There were quite a few people in line, people were trying to get flu shots too. The first time I went to refill my prescription, the staff was helpful and called my doctor to get my prescription transferred to their store, etc. so it took a bit longer. They told me to come back in 15-20 minutes so I just went to Starbucks and Whole Foods to shop. When my refills are ready, I get a text and I'm in and out of the store. read more

Theres several signs indicating what lines for what I waited appropriately at the drop off section to be called but nothing. Two people even looked directly at me and said nothing and walked away! This is the WORST piece of messed up ish I've ever experienced. I've never been so livid in my life. I use to frequent this location a lot since I live in the neighborhood but after today not ever again.
