In all my years of pumping gas I have never ever before seen anybody cleaning actual pumps. Drove in there recently and a nice young man was wiping pumps! After Covid and all the scare about how dirty gas stations are I was pleasantly surprised! As a matter of fact, the whole area was clean! Open at 3 am when I need some emergency items, yay! The location was easy to access and very well lit, which made me feel safer. The establishment felt clean and well organized for the most part. They did lack in juice options, and appeared to have far more energy drinks than I have ever seen in a gas station. The attendant was in a good mood and sent me off with a smile. read more

One of the restrooms was out of service, but the other one was pretty clean. I'm glad they've been able to maintain it without having a mechanized lock on it. I love the self kiosk because it's quick. The employee that told me the loyalty number is the phone number associated with the account was right. I have gone to this Chevron Extra Mile almost daily for ten years. I usually get coffee and an energy bar. I almost always use self checkout. For the third time I have been accused of shoplifting. I have always proven my innocence. Until their employees can understand how to monitor the customers using self checkout without accusing them of shoplifting, I will no longer be going to this extra mile. Funny. This only happens on the weekends. Great way to treat a super regular customer. Cashier's will be replaced by AI soon and this might be one of the reasons! read more

I've been to 7 Chevrons in the area between 1 and 2 am just to see which was actually open 24 hours including the convenience stores on sight. Out of the 7 only one actually advertised that they were closed from 10pm to 5am. Out of the remaining 6 none, and I'll stress NONE of the convenience stores were open either inside or through a night window. One that I visited had a guy inside the store walking around while smoking a cigarette. When asked through the window whether or jot they were open 24 hours he replied, without removing the lit cigarette from his mouth, a simple no. In my opinion, advertising that you are open 24 hours but are not, unless you count using the pumps with a credit or debit card which discriminates against people wanting to pay with cash, a 24 hour business. its called false and misleading advertising and becomes conspiracy to commit fraud when customer damages are incurred in form of financial loss from making the drive to the alleged 24 hour station. One star because the place was closed so only the gas which was way over-priced could be reviewed. Note that I have NEVER been to a 7Eleven that was closed. Honest advertising there. read more

Has the cleanest gas station bathrooms I've seen so far! You can tell they are intentional about the cleanliness of their bathrooms. I've seen gas station stores that look clean or fairly decent and then you go to the bathroom and it looks like a traphouse bathroom. I had to come to Yelp to review this Chevron. In my entire 30 years of driving, I have never pulled over to wash my windshields, and had actual CLEAN and soapy water! It made me so happy! Also, I went inside to purchase a couple of things and the manager and gal behind the counter were SO friendly. There was a gentleman outside refilling the receipt papers at the gas pumps too! This is my 'go to' spot when I barely have enough gas to get to work, but not home. It's never crowded, easy entrance, and easy exit. I don't know how the prices compare to other stations though. I'm going to assume they are a tad higher since this station is literally feet away from the freeway. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm running on fumes and can't drive home. read more

The dumb little girl behind the counter refused to sell my wife scratchers because I was standing next to her and didn't bring an ID in with me. I can't even remember the last time I was asked to show my ID for alcohol let alone scratchers. We are both clearly well over the age of 18. It was my wife's card we took money out with to purchase and she used her ID and the cashier still refused service and had major attitude. This place is a really well kept establishment but other than that they can't seem to keep it together when it comes to credit card transactions. There have been countless times when I have come in to purchase something but their system just happens to be down. I don't carry cash all of the time so it can be a big inconvenience when cards aren't accepted. I understand this is out of their control, but I know people who own gas stations are typically wealthy people, that's just a fact. It would be nice to see the owner re-invest in their business and purchase the proper merchant systems so you don't lose out on potential sales due to a customer not carrying cash. The cashiers can also be dull and rude at times. I'd rather not mention the names of the people who seem to be fairly incompetent, especially because they're people that I've seen working there for over 2 years. There are maybe two employees that I am happy to see when I'm in because they're friendly and helpful. One is a guy that doesn't work there often and the other is a girl by the name of Luz. She is phenomenal and I'm happy to see her when I'm in there because I know I won't be treated poorly when I check out. This station needs to hire more people like her and buy new credit card processing systems in order for me to rate this location any higher than 3 stars. read more

The gas is so overpriced here... (what is "Techron?!?" It is certainly not worth the amount they charge for the additive to their own "formula," which do not cause your vehicle to perform any better than regular discount gas...I don't appreciate the gimmicky excuse to price gouge customers... Also, when a disabled customer asks for full service and there is more than one employee on duty, state law requires that this service be provided at self service prices...I worked at a gas station years ago and we were taught this in our orientation training...perhaps this place didn't get the memo...but I've known several disabled individuals who have asked for this service and been treated like they were demanding something unreasonable, and a few have been outright denied...it's unfortunate that this station doesn't feel the law applies to them. It's definitely made me rethink my patronage. They're not the only gas station in town, and unless you are are on empty, it's worth a drive down the road to another station. There are many who actually care and help disabled customers and are also ignorant of the law...which means they're just decent people who care and are helpful because they want to be, not because they're compelled by the law to do so. Allison has to be the worst gas station attendant I've ever encountered. As I proceeded to drive by she threw her hands up and mouthed "what the f***" so I roll my window down and asked her to repeat herself. And she replies "don't u see the cones here. It's blocked off for a reason" clearly I was just driving by. And when I told her that she was being rude and needed to learn how to talk to customers she smirked and said whatever and turned around to continue cleaning the pump. I work in customer service as well and my boss would have got on my case for this. It's unacceptable. Work down the street but WILL NOT EVER be coming to this gas station again. Came in a few nights ago for some hot chocolate and to redeem my lotto scratchers. I waited in line for a few minutes and then paid for my drink and then asked the cashier named AMY to redeem my scratchers. She told me I would have to get back in line. I explained to her that I already waited in line and I am still at the front since I had just paid for my drink. She said it was a store rule for me to go to the end of the line and that she had to help the other customers who were more important. I will no longer be giving this gas station my business and will be going to the Shell Station right next door. I have also reported her to Chevron's corporate site. This is a go to for when I'm in that part of carlsbad and oceanside! I get sodas here often and I like their fountain drinks. These people are really rude. I know I'm not the only one who leaves the pump in while it's filling up and sits in their car but when I did that instead of stopping when the tank was full, gas spilled everywhere and continued to charge my card. When I went inside to talk to them about they were totally rude and said I shouldn't have left it unattended , don't do it again and you're not getting any money back. I wasn't even rude about it but it's just never happened to me before and I wasted probably about 5$. It is 2016, middle of the week, middle of the day, gas prices are 4 bucks average, SCARED of a hundred dollar bill. I want to call out this place and yelp review for the cashier today who refused to take my $100 for $30 gas telling me she "can't, no change". I have been getting gas here for 10 years and they always made change until today because unfortunately i got this lazy cashier who was afraid of my $100. Yes LAZY, how hard is it to fill out a form and transfer cash from one location to another? Btw, they have 2 cash registers and a safe behind the counter. Bought a pack of cigarettes and was charged $100.00 on my debit card ! Didnt really find out for 3 days. Went in to get it straightened out and the clerk said i would have to come back in the morning and see the manager. Went back in the next morning and spoke to the manager who said she would research it and call me back. Several hours later i had not heard anything so i went to the station for the THIRD time. The manager had forgotten to follow up ! So then i had to stand around for half an hour while the manager called it in. I suspected someone had overcharged me and pocketed the $$. They say a "new employee" pushed the wrong button. So now, i have to wait 3 days to get back my own $$ that took them 30 seconds to take ! read more
