Says open 24/7 and all the pumps are locked and I didn't notice and already scanned my card. Now what do I do? Says "one moment please forever. Open 24/7?! Now what happens when I drive away. Now someone can probably use my card when it's actually unlocked!! Thanks for the false advertising, now I'm stuck at a station until it opens. read more

Yes, expensive Berkeley Hills gasoline. I really needed a fill up. Yet with my Safeway 20 cent discount per gallon, the pricing was acceptable. Clean store with the same helpful and humorous cashier that's been there for at least 15 years. Maybe she's the owner. Good supply of candy, soda, and snacks. Five stars for a rest room for customers only! read more

Don't go to the Chevron if you're active scratch off buyer I went every day for the past three days to buy scratch offs and I actually won $100 went into cash in the ticket Rosa, which was the cashier told me that they had a store policy saying that they can only cash up to $50 if you're not gonna abide by the lottery rules which is $599 that you can cash in at the storeI feel that they don't need to be selling lottery tickets. Never ever ever have I experienced such a frumpy frumperton surly surlerton in my almost 40 years of life. As I left Alta Bates a little after 6:30am after pulling an all-nighter helping my friend give birth, I realized I was very low on gas and there was no way I would make it back home to Danville without getting some gas. I remembered there were two gas stations up Ashby and this was the one I decided to stop at. I pulled into a pump, put in my credit card and at 6:37am realized that the pumps were locked down. Yep, locked and the whole station was yet to be opened for business even though they have a sign in the window that says "fresh hot coffee". I went to the store front and saw a woman inside. I gently knocked and she looked at me with such hatred, I wanted to punch her even in my somewhat still euphoric state. Sure, she was probably late for work and probably has a hard life, but man oh man for the way overpriced gas I was about to pay for, I expected a lot more. I was shocked that the sticker price for gas here was a few cents more than the sticker price out here in Danville but man, only out of pure desperation would I ever ever ever come to this station again. read more

Prices are typical for the area, conveniently located on way to highways 13 and 24. I feel fairly safe filling here at night.

The very first time I came to No Cal to move to Berkeley this is the first place I stopped at. I really really really needed to pee and get directions. I asked the cashier some big bulldog of a lady to help me find the way to the campus and she barked back at me very vague fast and angrily. I told her I needed to use the restroom, she said she'd buzz it open from inside but I have to hurry to get in. I ran LITERALLY and when I got to the door the buzz was over and I couldn't get in. I was about to go inside and ask her again but as I entered I saw her glare :( So scary I really nearly wet myself. read more

I'm surprised at all the negative reviews this place has. Maybe the prices are a few cents higher than other places, I'm not even sure. But I've been going here for many years (since it's very convenient for me) and the people who work there have always been friendly. I'd say the worst thing about this place is that they don't sell lottery tickets because the neighborhood complained that by selling lottery tickets the station would attract an unsavory crowd. The plus is that it's located near the freeway, down the street from the Claremont Hotel. It's pretty dark and feels isolated at night, however. The prices are not the cheapest. It's worth it if you REALLY need gas and are not familiar enough with the area to locate another station. read more

Holy cow this gas station is a rip off. I guess this place must survive by gouging people who are about to get onto 13 and need gas and do not know any other gas stations in the area. Here is a free tip - If you find yourself out of gas and needing to go to this gas station, then rather than going up Ashby towards 13, just drive down Ashby a few blocks to the cornerof Telegraph and Ashby. There is another Chevron which is 10% cheaper. Or if you have some time go even further down Ashby to Shattuck and Ashby, where you will find the cheapest Chevron in the entire East Bay. Avoid this place like the plague. The prices are terrible. read more

Convenient location, I stopped here to get gas on my way home since there aren't many places along the 13. The pump I happened to pull in front of had a broken card reader, but I was able to go inside and still use my card to pre-pay. The gas prices here are on the expensive side. read more

Come back to Chevron and boy was it interesting. This new girl Patricia was unprofessional. She was doing her hair and makeup, which she really needed, but either way she was at work. This was last Monday. Today I came in and met a new new girl who was being called Argentina, she was on task and asking questions when necessary. Mike was there doing his job, then Colleen came in for work, and Argentina was still doing her job. Only suggestion is getting rid of Patricia. read more

The owner of this Chevron is a sweet heart! super sweet fellow. Payment system is still old school. No Chip or phone payments available but who needs chip readers anyway! Great candy selection. Right next to the freeway very convenient to get onto Highway 13. If you cant afford gas to fill your car, you shouldnt have a car. Just saying. read more
