The Mac n Cheese is okay but who can match moms? Is it wrong for me to compare? NO! Although I love the Jerk dish, this Jerk chicken was not the spiciest. It was flat, even with the sauce but still consumable. My purchase from Yardies did the job! This is a grab n go but they offer light seating. The mac and cheese is tasty and the rice and peas are actually pretty good. Somewhat lightly seasoned compared to what I'm used to my parents really well with the food. The potato salad is very well done to the point that my mother actually liked it and she's a hard critic. The festival were warm and soft and very satisfying and the carrot cake was definitely worth a second try. I ordered a small oxtail and what they served me seem like it was a large. Great portions, I was able to eat out of it multiple times and enjoyed each time. I ordered through Uber so I haven't been able to go to the restaurant. I see way too many complaints on here and it makes me wonder what type of palate people have as they are putting down the restaurant. Until I get an issue with any of my food, I will continue to support this restaurant and order when my Jamaican food crave pops up.

This is a buffet style set up and there is limited high top seating for dine-in. There are concerns about open buffet settings but one issue that this restaurant defeated would be cross contamination. I give ovation when I see the hand sanitizers that are set out for use before dipping from the buffet and you must use plastic gloves that are set out for use when touching utensils. Staff monitoring is another issue that I observed them performing every time that I entered. Temperature control can be questioned if you are dining in. Food safety is another to be observed. The buffet offers so many delicious dishes and a huge salad bar. They do serve breakfast items such as dumplings boiled or fried, green banana, yams, and salt fish just to name a few. They have salmon, Quiona, Chicken, oxtails, fritters, delicious vegetable dishes. I even saw curried chicken feet. Not that I would be eating them because mom and dad never served us this dish growing up and I am not about to add this dish to my palate at my age. I am not knocking it but whatever floats your boat. I am pretty sure you may find something you like and they make smoothies. I have tried the salmon on two occasions, and I question the food safety on this dish. I find that the salmon was not to my liking as it may have not been fresh on occasion and or it taste overcooked it was hard to cut let alone chew. The vegetables taste great. I would like to have Quiona, but chef community seem to think that everyone appreciates corn in their food. I will go back to try something other than breakfast or salmon. So happy eating and .... Today I tried the Sweet Chili Oxtail pizza and the Shrimp Black Truffle Alfredo pizza, and both were really good. The flavors were unique but worked so well together, and the slices were loaded with toppings. Surprisingly, it wasn't packed today, which made the visit even better since I could get my food quickly without the usual crowd. Overall, another great experience, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Queens.

A late visit after they have been open for a couple years turned out to be ideal. No long lines and quick service, exceptional customer service and I was given a heartfelt thanks for pulling up. When Cuts & Slices opened, the lines were around the corner, for days! I wasn't willing to partake in a lengthy wait and a extended standing period on anyone's line. I appreciate Cuts & Slices for developing a new pizza (za) taste. Something new to the world of ZA, differentiality! I tried the oxtail Za and the sweet chilli shrimp. I must say, these zas were really different and really tasty. If I had not changed my eating habits, I'd consume cuts & slices every week but I must regulate my intake on carbs. I appreciate the designs on the wall and I learned how the skateboards were influenced in the decorations in their shops. I appreciate how I was asked if this was my first visit. I was honored to say yes! And honored to.... Inspire more, Yelp more!

I felt safe walking inside of The Smokehouse today, no unofficial doorman. The second thing, this used to be a few seats for dine-in, but I can understand why it's strictly in and out. They are very busy, I would say, too busy to deal with cleaning the dining area. That is a good thing for business. I didn't see what I wanted and the young lady, ( I appreciate her so much) was kind and sweet. She informed me of the type fish they serve. I got Whiting, Mac n Cheese, and Greens. The Food* The greens were very tasty, properly seasoned and proportioned well. The Mac n Cheese is always compared to moms. Though the Mac n Cheese didn't hold together like I'm used to eating it. I did find it quite D'licious. What ever they are doing? They, are doing! I had the fried whiting, it had a bit of spicy kick. Very tasty, moist, not over fried or dry. The cornbread was silky smooth and held together on its own. I've never had cornbread that was like butter yet held together and didn't break apart, even when you bite it. I got three pieces, of course for an extra cost and it was so worth the purchase. To sum it up, this is the exact kind of meal, taste included, mind you, that I'm used to eating down south. The smoke house has duplicated a fine Southern dish. Just thinking, if they decided to offer a full sit down experience, like severs, a hosts or hostess to greet diners, table service, what a wonderful world this would be. Pro-Tip: Make sure you get the peppers and onions on top of the whiting. You can thank me later. Inspire more, Yelp more!
