How about since that day I have NEVER seen this place open so I swore the person lied to me until last Saturday. After church it was freezing and I was about to walk home when I saw the lights on. Now I will say that I am not used ordering in a small quaint area- But BABY!! Talk about a hole in the wall hidden gem! This was one of those if you know you know moments and I risked a full $32 on two plates of food to experience pure food ecstasy. No lies just the truth- that catfish, Mac and greens will bring you to know knees in thanksgiving for all who participated in making it including the fisherman. Some slap ya momma good soul food. I would not recommend that you stand inside like I did it's to hot and stuffy but the woman inside was SWEET! There is parking out front and I have no idea what was on the menu. When I walked in the lady said this is what we have and I said I'll take two. No there is no seating area or a bathroom so I took it on home and my son and I we went to town. Everything was seasoned perfectly, the fish was crunchy on the outside soft on the inside. It HIT THE SPOT!

Normally I give them a 5 stars for the fish. But today not so much. There was no special seasoning…read morethat I usually get on the fish. I guess they had a new person frying the fish. The only reason i noticed, other then the taste, I did not see the little green specks on it, which was ither oregano or parsley or basil. How every I was very disappointment.

And while she's confirming a table, the owner cane thru. He was welcoming and treated us like special guests. I asked a question about the decor and he shared his vision that became reality. Our meals were delicious! Catfish, greens, chicken, everything was well prepared, served hot and flavorful! We wish them continued success. The next time we visit will be because we planned it, for the food! I didn't have pics of the food cause we were too busy eating!

I went for brunch today, and as always, business was booming. The place was full--people dining in,…read moregrabbing takeout, and even filling the bar. There's often a short wait, which isn't surprising given how consistently packed the dining room is. The brunch menu is stacked with crowd favorites, and the music always sets the vibe--something you can really enjoy while you eat. But the food? Phenomenal. The fried catfish was seasoned and fried to crispy perfection. The turkey wings were tender, flavorful, and cooked just right--fall-off-the-bone good. And the yams? Sweet, rich, and perfectly seasoned... honestly hard to stop eating. The macaroni was rich and satisfying, and the potato salad is always a standout for me. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake--and it was exactly how I like it: moist with real, creamy frosting that doesn't miss. The brunch sangria was also a hit. I mixed red and white, and it was smooth and refreshing. Portion sizes are generous, so you definitely leave satisfied. And Danny, the owner, really sets the tone--he's always present, checking in with guests, jumping in to help the staff, and clearly running a tight operation. Nettie's continues to be the go-to spot for soul food--consistently good, every time.

I ordered the turkey wings, lima beans, and collard greens. The order was plentiful as I had enough to save for the next day. The turkey wings was tasty and tender, I enjoyed the lime beans and the collard greens. I usually add acv to my greens. Although they don't add acv to their greens, I found the greens to be flavorful. I also ordered a slice of pineapple coconut cake. I will come here again and the service was out standing.

Everything came up to $16.88. The place is bright and clean. Food was good and seasoned well. My gripes are they served a person with no mask on. Had I not come so far I would have turned around. Also, I only got 1 one part of the wing with my dinner. I feel like the whole wing should be included which I expressed. Other than that I had previously spoken with one of the owners (wife) telling her my intentions to visit and she was really sweet and inviting. I will be back to try more items and hopefully add a star! Sorry forgot the menu pic.
