Since opening, this barn has taken a huge turn for the worse. my friend went to this barn for almost a year. they were very much active in the community. so there's a lot for me to say. before I start, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS BARN. if you care about your kid, don't because multiple people I know have gotten seriously hurt and ended up in the hospital.
their horses are complete maniacs, they overwork them, and their turnout is the size of their stalls. and the barn is built on top of a marsh, so it's illegal for the barn to even be there, they are over their property border.
secondly, this is the place where the term " barn drama" gets completely out of hand. freely talks spitefully about others in the office with customers and literal kids in there with her. at an English show one of the people on my friend's team was getting talked bad about, so they made a shirt that said "Run your horse, not your mouth" I get it I guess, but it's kinda weird because all of the kids on that group are mostly in middle school. Most of the trainers are shady and two-faced, especially the owner.
thirdly, all of their horses have serious problems. all of them are overworked, have extremely small stalls, none of them are well trained, and if they are trained a little bit it's because they got trained before they were bought by the barn. And they have 5 horses they use for lessons over and over again.
ferguson, one of the horses that used to be owned by the barn ( but is now boarded there ) has terrible behavior. he completely SHATTERED A STUDENTS NOSE ( my friend's nose completely caved into her skull ), fractured my friend's neck, and REARED with lesson students at a clinic. he was definitely not safe to be using for lessons. he even kicked one of my friends in the stomach while they were washing his tail . he charges at the indoor arena door when anyone leaves.
Freya, another horse at the barn, dragged my friend throughout a barn because another student was wearing an inflatable chicken costume at a barn.. ( her horse jumped out of the arena because it was so scared), BROKE another person's nose, and then DRAGGED HER by the wash stalls and then when she had blood pouring out her nose nobody helped her. The owner then talked bad about her and said it was her fault and she was acting stupid. So her nose is now broken and can't be fixed because this was over the summer.
Oh and when Ferguson shattered my friend's nose, nobody called an ambulance and she had to be driven to the hospital with a fractured neck. She was one neck vertebrate away from being paralyzed. Same with the other student's nose that got broken, but instead of driving her they completely ignored her.
You don't really see anyone here with high-end horses for a reason. Just trying to help people out with this review. Have a nice day. read more
