Parkview Riding Center was excellent! My family was visiting and we die died to book a spur of the moment hour trail ride. Diana was our guide and she was super informative and taught us about each of our horses personalities (Tarzan, Pat and Dudley) the trails were comfortable to ride and it was a great experience for all levels (beginner to advanced). This place is horrible! I brought my two daughters, and this was their first time on a horse. I had a horse when I was a child. Also i rode a Race Horse, that my sister bought, and brought it out to a nice area, close to home. I've been to many Dude Ranches- where my father was allowed to take us children out with him. He taught us to ride. I've galloped many times on a horse, in open land. I didn't need some unknowledgeable woman, telling me what to do. And only addressing myself and my daughter's, on how to ride. I spoke up, and said look around no one is riding perfectly. She then stopped talking. I have told all my family and friends not to go there. The horses seem exhausted, and there stables are filthy. These poor horses need new owners. They should be closed down, as soon as possible. And I will keep telling people stay away from these dirty, rude, ignorant people. read more

I had a wonderful experience riding a horse for the first time on a trail. The horse that was assigned to me, Jackson, was very gentle and calm. Bud was a great guide and I learned a lot. He even got off of his horse to show me how to hold the reins!! I will definitely return!!!!! read more

We had a great ride today. Me and my 2 daughters 13/12 went die a trail ride. Jeff the guide was awesome. The horses were great. However the office personnel lady was not a pleasant person. This should not take away from the great ride and day we had. If you are in a service business suck it up and smile and the people that hand you $150 for an hour trail ride. Guides and horses great. I scheduled an appt for 9am at their Huntington location , meanwhile they failed to mention that they moved to Islip so waste of time and gas money since they couldn't accommodate me at Islip since there weren't any trail guides available. Then to top it off she tried to blame me for the issue of trail guides not being available stating I didn't call back last night. I clearly told her I was coming 9am this morning and left a message to confirm. She told me yesterday a guide would be available 9am and 3pm with or without my confirmation. Then she stated that she would've told me the new address when I confirmed smh. I understand people make mistakes but at least apologize and not blame the customer. I saw Michael A had an issue with reservation as well, so this looks like a pattern. Hopefully they improve their customer service skills read more

Woman in the office was rude. I know I didn't have much experience riding but I was expecting an accommodating and welcoming experience from the workers and the trail guides! The trail guide was very rude as well. He was making comments that me and the person I was with "have no idea what we are doing" I felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed. Me and my husband were quiet the entire time and were hesitant to even ask a question because of his attitude. It was a terrible experience especially since it was for my husband's birthday. He has always wanted to go horseback riding and I thought this would make him happy and it turned out to be a not so great experience for the both of us. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I came here with a group for a private trail ride. We were all beginners, never had been horseback riding before. We were very nervous, dare I say terrified Lol but our guide, Bud, who was very knowledgeable, shared important tips with us and thus made us feel at ease on the horses. The only reason why I give this place any stars is because my trainer savannah. I switched places over the summer after realizing how cruel they are to the horses. They keep them cooped up in tiny stalls and I have not seen a gentle trainer. If I have a crop I refuse to use it as a weapon just put a little pressure on the neck not whip it hard like I was told to. And they made me kick the horse and pretty hard even though I didn't follow through and lightly tapped the horse as It listened. They use the horses way too much. And on top of that the lady at the front desk is always chatting with her friends with curse words in front of children. They don't teach you how to tack and I had been riding for 3 years. When I finally cantered the horse was so tired it couldn't even pick one up. I wouldn't go here. The trail rides are ok. I went to the camp two years ago and we painted on a horse that then got dyed. I'm sure fluff didn't like being yellow for the next week. They don't tell u if ur lesson is going to be canceled I drive all the way out there twice to find out it was canceled and they didn't even try to contact me. If you want to go anywhere you should try bridgette Harwood. She is the only trainer so it doesn't get mixed up. The first thing u learn is how to halter, tack, and groom. Then onto riding. Park view taught me to steer wrong for 3 years. And the way I was taughT could have seriously injured the horses. Bridgette is calm and she teaches you simple harmless techniques to have your horse go without using a crop. She also does trail riding. Western and English. Me and my friend love it here and I have improved so much since switching stables. Try out her place it's far better read more

My husband and I went for a trail ride for our anniversary here this past weekend. We had a great time even though it was incredibly hot. We had Jeff as our guide which kept the ride interesting and enjoyable he was funny and the hour went by so fast. I learned so it from him. My only suggestion is that you bring cash for tips we didn't have cash and felt horrible leaving without giving a tip to the guide that well deserved it. read more

I booked at a different location a month in advanced and the other location cancelled on me. I called Parkview the day before and they were so sweet to me over the phone. They booked me for the same time. My entire family enjoyed the trial. I rode Action Jackson and the lady/instructor, Diana rode with us. Such a sweet horse and lady! The people in person are also so lovely. They teach and talk to you the entire time about the location, trial, and the horses. I am definitely coming back!! It's worth it all!! read more

I came to the Parkview Equestrian Center on June 3, 2017. I had an awesome time!!! From the time that I got there till the time that I left, everyone was friendly! I went on a group trail ride and Keith and another gentlman were our guides. They were awesome!! The horses looked beautiful and well kept! I can't say enough good things about this place. We had a bit of a reservation mismatch for a morning trail ride, they had us in for tomorrow, we showed up today. We were the first ride, they weren't ready for us, but hurried to accommodate us. That meant getting a guide, prepping the horses, etc. They were very nice about it. They set us up with two great horses, a smooth and gentle horse for my daughter, a larger and lively horse for me. We were lucky enough to get Diana as our guide, and she was awesome! She mixed in just enough instruction to help up ride better, not too much to make it more work than fun...really just perfect. We walked and trotted through the preserve, Diana always making sure we were comfortable. The only downside is that somewhere along the way I lost my car keys, they bounced out of the pocket of my sweatshirt. Diana was taking out another group, and offered to follow along the same trail and look for my keys while my wife came with my spare set. And she found them!! So, one suggestion I have is a sign that suggests that riders secure loose objects, like keys (lol). We'll be back for more rides, the next being a two hour ride, deeper into the preserve. And we'll be requesting Diana as our guide. Also, big thanks to Joan, who lives near me, for bringing my missing keys. Beautiful place, great people and a wonderful experience. read more
