I love riding at Knoll. They have wonderful teachers and lesson horses for all ages and levels…read more Knoll has three huge outdoor rings with great footing and jumps. Plus an indoor! I happen to lease but boarding is also an option. They take great care of their horses and property. Clean, organized and well maintained. Plus right across the street from the Brentwood train station! We have a great community feel with barn parties and events. I highly recommend Knoll Farm!

We came by to inquire about lessons, and instead of it feeling like a quick stop, the staff made us feel right at home. The grounds are beautiful, well-kept, and welcoming -- you can immediately sense how much care goes into maintaining the space and ensuring a positive environment for both riders and horses. The team took the time to answer our questions, walk us through what to expect, and made us feel excited about the possibility of lessons. It's rare to find a place where professionalism meets such genuine kindness, but Gold Coast Equestrian is exactly that. If you're even thinking about riding lessons or just curious to learn more, this is the place to go. We left feeling not only informed but also part of the community already. Highly recommend!

It's definitely a very pretty facility but if you are serious about lessons, I don't recommend this…read moreplace at all. Several of the horses have behavior problems. Refusing to walk. Desensitized to aids. They have you pay for the semester and the trainers are unwilling or unable to bring you along and are often involved in their personal conversations as if the private lessons you paid for were actually free. I was told by one trainer that my posture was fine. By a second that my posture was terrible while riding a sickly horse on a child's saddle repeatedly despite my objections. I had another horse run away with me. The next week that same horse did that to a young girl, with no interventions from staff. If you complain you will be met with fast talking nonsense.

I would not recommend this stable based on our experience…read more My daughter signed a boarding agreement, paid all of her boarding fees in full, and provided more than the required 30 days' notice that she intended to move her horse. Despite this, she was never provided with a copy of the signed contract. Instead of honoring the notice period, the stable gave her only 24 hours to remove her horse. They also kept her $500 security deposit and retained the unused boarding fees for more than half of the month. This was extremely unprofessional, unfair, and unacceptable. A boarding facility should communicate clearly, provide copies of signed agreements, and treat clients with honesty and respect. Keeping a client's deposit and prepaid fees under these circumstances, while refusing to address legitimate concerns directly, reflects very poor business practices. I hope the stable will improve its professionalism and transparency so that other horse owners do not have a similar experience.

Initially we brought our three mitts there for years and years: a Dalmatian mix, a Pitbull-German Short-Haired Pointer mix and our large Newfoundland mix. They always looked forward to their visits, eager to hop out of the truck and head in with the technician when we arrived - and groomed up and crazy waggy happy upon pickup. (We tried other places first and this was not the experience.) We also love that when we call to check in on our pups, they always have an excellent update for us, very personal, very on target with each of our dogs' unique personalities. Just great all around! We just rescued a new Pitbull-Bulldog mix and she had her first stay with them. She is not the most trusting dog because of a checkered past, but she did great at Fonab and we had the same experience as in the past, they took excellent care of her and had great feedback for us on her stay and how she did.
