The horse was being very patient and obedient just standing there and the woman (with long blonde hair in a braid) seemed to be taking out her bad mood out on the horse. She yelled with a nasty tone saying "back up!" God forbid the horse wasn't standing in the exact spot an an inch from where she then| moved it to. My family had horses, I know how you're supposed to talk to them. Hurt my heart hearing the way she spoke to this horse. This horse was not being difficult in any way. It is a privilege and an honor to be able to work with horses. I did not get the impression this person understands that. Even if you are having a bad day, you never take it out on an animal. Maybe i'm overly sensitive when it comes to all animals, especially dogs and horses but this is just the feeling I got when I witnessed this today. I hope that this is not an every day occurrence with the horses in their care.

The houses, stables and corrals are there but the same cars have been parked in the driveway for a very long time and the place is completely deserted. It is a shame but understandable during these times. DDR Farms on Sweet Hollow Road is an active equestrian center that helps youngsters learn about horses by riding them. They are rescuing injured animals and they have a full staff and vet on call to help the animals heal. We took our two grandkids there and they are too young to ride but we saw many animals that are in their own corrals as well as some that are healthy and strong and those are used to teach young people, starting from about age 7 up to young adults. The horses have food and water and are very well taken care of.

Also i rode a Race Horse, that my sister bought, and brought it out to a nice area, close to home. I've been to many Dude Ranches- where my father was allowed to take us children out with him. He taught us to ride. I've galloped many times on a horse, in open land. I didn't need some unknowledgeable woman, telling me what to do. And only addressing myself and my daughter's, on how to ride. I spoke up, and said look around no one is riding perfectly. She then stopped talking. I have told all my family and friends not to go there. The horses seem exhausted, and there stables are filthy. These poor horses need new owners. They should be closed down, as soon as possible. And I will keep telling people stay away from these dirty, rude, ignorant people.

Diana was our guide and she was super informative and taught us about each of our horses personalities (Tarzan, Pat and Dudley) the trails were comfortable to ride and it was a great experience for all levels (beginner to advanced). The facilities were that of a dump and they hardly have any good horses. They put fat huge kids on my little pony. they also treat most of the horses terribly and are the worst to deal with in buisness, i would definitely not recommend going here. Instead i would recommend someplaces like stoney hill, caumsett, or thomas school. I am sorry for writing a bad review but i hate lying. Just another note that every student that rides there cant ride and they push most horses too hard and make them jump too high. Unfortunately for my friend they sold their 3'6" horse to them because they were forced to through a lease and he could only go up to 3'6" but they pushed him to 4' and now he hates jumping.
