For most of the job, lasting 2 weeks, the only people who were consistently on the job were a general labourer and a new employee who hadnt landscaped before but we were quoted for professional landscapers. As the job went on Darren changed the design and, as I thought, exchanged the patio tiles I had paid for in exchange for a composite walkway in the same material used for my patio, he changed the layout of the steps and the size of the deck. On completion there were numerous issues which Darren agreed were substandard as he had rushed the end of the job to finish to deadline. He then presented me with a bill for an additional £1500 on top of the £14000 I had already paid him. This was far in excess of his quote. We refused to pay as Darren could provide no invoices and had removed substantial excess materials from the property for use on other jobs, but finally after 5 months of argument Darren agreed to make good the problems F.O.C. That was in November and we are still waiting, despite pleading with him to come and make good on his promises. I hate leaving this review because his workers never stopped, in all weather's and Darrens ideas are lovely. Sadly, he cannot run his business effectively and if you hire him I'd warn you to check everything you you pay him for and gets itemized receipts for the materials. We paid £14000 for a town garden to be decked, flagged and astro turfed. We have since asked 2 other landscapers what we should have paid and they agreed the cost with labour should have been approx £9000!!!

They had excellent communication throughout. The quote process and inspection was very thorough and we were given lots of choices with advice rather than sales patter. The fitters were fast, professional and respectful of our new house (they brought dust sheets with them, laid them out well and took their shoes off). The system is really sturdy and most improtantly leaves a good air gap between insulation and flooring. The enlarged loft hatch makes getting into the loft so much easier. The light is nice and bright and the switch is easy to reach before you climb up through the hatch. The ladder supplied is securely mounted and the clips make it really easy to extend. It has made access to the loft much easier. We're really impressed by the company and will be recommending them to friends and colleagues.

They started a job removing dry rot from our downstairs living room. They replaced a window, multiple floorboards, and replastered a quarter of the room. As well as treating the rot. Timberwise were a nightmare from start to finish. The rot has since been found again in the skirting boards in the same area. 1. They cost a a lot more than other companies 2. They took nearly 2 months to complete a job which should've been done in 1 week 3. We found rot back within 18 months in the same area 4. They were going to charge us £160 just to come out and review what the work they had completed 5. Their surveyor came out and spent 2 minutes looking at it, he failed to assess both the walls and floor boards 6. He said that they had failed to properly finish the job 7. He spoke to a director who refused to honour our guarantee (which is therefore not worth the paper it is written on) and refused to finish the job 8. Now we are left with an incomplete job, visible dry rot in the room, a guarantee which is worthless, and have already had to pointlessly redecorate the room once which cost us £500 Its awful what has happened to our beautiful home. Timberwise are a big corporation who don't treat their staff well at all. They cost alot of money and charge for guarentees that they don't honour. I couldn't help feeling from the beginning that they are only be interested in your money.
