This place is so cute!!!! While waiting my brothers and I played Jenga that the cafe offers and also monopoly which is this super cute specialized version for the area, Arbutus/Baltimore. This cafe is so cute and quiet - a great place to get some work done, have a small meeting or chill with your family. If I lived nearby this would definitely be a regular place I would come to get work done. To drink, I ordered something on seasonal media specifically their Rose B. Chai (I forgot the second word ) which a mix of chai and rosemary. And dare I say it's the PERFECT FUSION!!! It's so good! at first I was a little skeptical thinking it shouldn't work but it does. Now unfortunately my mom didn't approve and she has a more of a sweet tooth than I do so maybe different people have their different opinion but I loved it. There's also an orange creamsicle drink that's on the menu that I really want to try.I didn't have time to order food but the prices are super reasonable like less than $10. I really liked this place and next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop by.

When…read morewe're on vacation, we try to hit up a new local coffee shop, and on this morning we decided to go to Oca Moca. We picked this location mostly because it was conveniently located just off the highway on our way home. It's situated in what felt like a small downtown area of Arbutus. The inside of the coffee shop is much larger than it appears from the outside and, in addition to the main café area, it also includes a community room. Once inside the coffee shop space, there's a cooler with drinks and a small display case with their pastries. For our coffees that morning, I went with a large hot Lavender Dreams latte, while my wife ordered the Peach Keen cold brew. It took somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes before we had our coffees and were on our way. My coffee tasted good as I could clearly taste both the lavender and the honey, but there was still plenty of strong coffee flavor on the backend. My wife's coffee, on the other hand, wasn't so good. The peach flavor was extremely strong and sweet, and both of us thought it clashed in a strange way with the bold cold brew. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While I enjoyed my coffee, my wife's was definitely one of the weirder flavors I've tasted and not in a good way.

The woman with bright red hair who was taking orders and operating the point of sale machine had a horrible attitude towards customers when they were asking what was available and trying to place orders, and at least one person walked away without buying anything because of her. I ordered a medium coffee Americano which was $4.99 - fair, especially at an airport coffee spot, but when she showed me where to tap my card, I was given a screen to leave a gratuity. I wasn't giving a tip as I received no real "service" and I'm not giving 25% for someone at a walk up counter to pour a cup of coffee (I just got an Americano - a simple order). When she saw I left no tip, she glared at me and said "OK!....OK!!" as if she was miffed and being judgemental. I walked to the other side of this large kiosk to where the coffee drinks are handed out once ready. There were several people waiting for their orders, and none of the cups were labeled or had names on them - the employee there was just yelling the type of drink she was setting out, and I guess hoping if there were multiple customers with the same order they'd figure it out on their own.

Ordered the Cafe Dulce and really enjoyed it -- smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet, with the coffee flavor still shining through. I should've gone for the large! Would absolutely come back next time I'm flying through.

In addition, the hot coffee cup was leaking from the bottom while I was holding it and I had to ask for another cup. The server that gave me the additional cup apologized and said they have had that issue with the cups. If the issue has been known, have we looked into fixing it? No indication of such with his response, but I hope they are. If they fix the toaster and their cups, I may come back. For people with nut allergies - only their traditional medium roast was nut-free, the other options all had a note of either almond, walnut, or macadamia. Service: 5/5 no issues. Ambiance: small bagel storefront with some tables indoors and outdoors to sit up to 4-ish.

Bagels & Grind is the kind of place that reminds you why fresh matters…read more Their blueberry bagels are handmade right on site, and you can actually watch the whole process--dough, boil, bake, the works. They come out warm, chewy, and packed with real blueberry flavor, not that artificial hint‑of‑fruit some places try to pass off. And the hashbrowns? Absolute nostalgia bombs. They taste exactly like McDonald's hashbrowns back when they were at their crispy, golden peak. Perfect crunch, perfect salt, zero disappointment. Prices are refreshingly reasonable, especially considering the quality and the fact that everything is made right there in front of you. It's quick, it's tasty, and it feels like a place that actually cares about what they're serving. Bagels & Grind is a legit local win--no fluff, no fuss, just really good food done right.
