Reading another review of this company just encouraged me more to write my own…read more Unfortunately, being a difficult time in my life, I had to move into one of the rooming houses they "manage". It's interesting to see the parallels between the experience of a renter and a property owner. Within the first month, the ceiling in the kitchen caved in and flooded over the stove and counters. It took weeks to get it repaired and everyone was afraid to use the stove for fear of being electrocuted due to the flooding. The ceiling is peeling and flaking in the kitchen still. The next issue was a completely clogged drain in one of the two bathrooms on the floor. I personally had to finally take care of that, at my expense. I received a reply from my service request approximately a month later. Holes were drilled into our walls to do something with the insulation. The cracked plaster they filled the holes in with are still not finished after at least four months. I recently requested to move into one of the vacant room in the apartment and was told that I would have to pay an additional security deposit and $300 to cover the owner's expenses. To move a matter of feet to another room. I will be consulting with someone to find out if that's even legal. Shall we discuss the roaches? Broken cement steps and broken rail half-ass repaired with glue? I would certainly not advise anyone rent from them in any capacity.

Chris and I will miss…read moreyou!!! ------------------- It's going on 90 days since we moved into Cornell Mill Lofts, so I just wanted to give my impressions thus far. First, I'll say that finding an apartment during the Summer is, well, no vacation! We only had a short window from the time we had to vacate our previous address, to the time we had to find a new one. Thankfully, when I contacted Cornell Mil Lofts-- while driving and searching for apartment vacancies-- Joyce answered the phone, and she said to come down "now" and she would find us something. She did, and went above and beyond to get us into our apartment within days; not weeks or months. It's been a very pleasant experience to date. We really love the apartment and for our lifestyles, it's perfect. We have enough space for entertainment, dining, each with our own work/office areas... and that's just in the main room. Really liking the large windows that soar to the high ceilings, which bring in all the natural light we can handle! Old wood floors add much character, mixed with the more modern appliances and fixtures. The grounds/parking lot are well lit, and I feel very secure in and around the building, day or night. Unlike our last residence, trash/recycling is a breeze with separate dumpsters nicely situated at the far end of the parking lot. Also, a dedicated mail room means I won't have to worry about packages being left unattended outside. In 90 days, we did have one light bulb go out, which usually is not a problem at all-- except the ceilings are *really* high, so without any way to climb 15 feet, I had to put in a maintenance ticket. Within a day the bulb was replaced, good as new. That process was super-easy, just creating a ticket on the tenant portal. I will say I had one other problem, but that was with FedEx. FedEx delivered a few packages to another mill building nearby, but I couldn't find out from FedEx where that was. So I printed out the photos from the FedEx tracking page, and I asked Joyce if she could help me investigate. She was a great help, and I was ultimately able to retrieve my new rug! Thanks Joyce! Looking forward to the next 90!
