I dropped 3 pair sweatpants off and asked them to remove the extra fabric below the elastic waistband. The woman who helped me told me that she could not tell me exactly how much it would cost me. They are sweatpants so I assumed it wouldn't be terrible. However, whoever tried to fix them, cut into the pockets and resewed the waistband into the pockets. Not a good look. They charged me $25 per pair of sweatpants "to fix" equaling $75 to sew the waistband into the pocket. My $20 sweatpants turned into $45 sweatpants that I cannot wear X 3. Terrible read more

My first experience here tells me that this little place charges about the highest per unit of any dry cleaner in the country. I took four outdoor wool items in and each cost 25 dollars each. Having searched typical pricing nationwide I found out that 20.00 would be high.. I live in troutdale for heavens sakes. read more

I'm pretty frustrated with my experience here. I brought in three dresses, a jumpsuit, two shirts, a large winter coat, and a suit jacket to be cleaned and spent around $160. There's no dry cleaner where I live so I drove an hour each way to drop these items off and then that same drive to pick them up. Each round trip costs about $30 in gas so I was pretty disappointed to get home and discover two items were missing. I called and asked if they could be mailed, and she said no I'd have to come in for the items. No discount or reimbursement for the items was offered. So make sure you check that every item is there before you leave. read more

I had been looking for a local place for alterations. I don't need this service very often but previously I had been driving into downtown Portland and decided that I didn't want to drive that far. I brought a new pair of jeans in for a hem. I asked for original hem and, to my surprise when I picked my jeans up, found that I got a regular hem instead. The jeans have a worn in look so the regular hem looks "off". In addition, both the hem and stitching is uneven and crooked; I didn't notice the uneven hem until I inspected my jeans at home. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and offered to not charge me for the hem. He called to see if he could find the original hem and have them redo the work. The person who hemmed my jeans was not available and wasn't planning to be back until after the new year. They couldn't guarantee that they would be able to obtain the original hem but would try. The person who I interacted with seemed genuinely sorry for the mishap and confirmed that that request was written as original hem. Alterations are about the details. A hem is probably the least complicated and most common type of alteration so having it done incorrectly means I won't be going back. A quick visual check of the work and confirming the request on the tag would've caught the issue right away before the jeans were picked up. I am adding 1 star because they were super nice and empathetic. read more

he said they do not have the tools to do "real dry cleaning m... Took in a tan Tommy hillfiger pea coat- that specifically said dry clean only. Once I stated that this is a dry cleaners so I should be able to take my dry cleaning here he literally said " we don't have the tools to do real dry cleaning you should go to a professional dry cleaner. They're a dry cleaner... but they're nooooot one? read more

Great neighborhood cleaners. New owners are nice and are continuing the great service!

This place is run by the sweetest couple and my husbands shirts always come back pristine and pressed.

I just went here for the first time and I'm really happy with how they did. I came in with a few jackets, dresses and sweaters. All were perfectly cleaned, pressed and folded. Everything was hung and bagged a bit nicer than other cleaners I've been. The owners were very nice to talk with and I got the feeling that they take pride in what they do. The most pleasant surprise was my headphones. I had checked the pockets on my wife's coats before bringing them in but had left a pair of headphones in the pocket of my jacket. Had they been ruined in the cleaning process it would have been completely my fault, but when I picked everything up, they were coiled and put clipped to the hanger with my coat. Little things like this, the good attitude of the owners and the attention to detail definitely make this a place I'll be using again and again. read more

Im fairly new to the area, and I am/was looking for a local regular dry cleaner for my shirts and other needs that may arise. The lady at the counter couldn't understand a thing I was saying. She seemed completely bewildered by the most basic requests. I had to leave and take my business elsewhere, as there is no telling what may have happened with my clothing. read more

I've been using this dry cleaner for the last year and they work really hard to keep their customers happy. My old dry cleaners went out of business and recommended this place. I work as a pilot so each month I give them my uniforms and they are always on time or early with my garments. I have left items in the pockets and they always come back to me. And even when I come in with a full load and ask if I can get my uniforms back in two days they try to work with me instead of just saying "no next week is all we can do". They go the extra mile. read more

Great service and great people. What more can you ask for? The owners are friendly and this is a great family run buisness. They always deliver on time. Never had a bad experience with the quality of cleaning. I always get my ties and other delicate items done here because I can trust them to do it right. I've had ties and suits messed up at other cleaners but the Shims are consistently able to deliver a superior service on time all the time. read more

I had the same experience as the person down below listed in the tip. I walked into the place and the owner looked completely pissed off that I walked in. By the time you got done with me I didn't want to do business with him and I walked out the door. read more

We love this business! They are customer focused and knew our names ( and our kids names ) after the first couple visits. Also, they hang ( and frame ) pictures of their customers' children/families on the wall of their business. We have been going here for years and we love the owners. We send and receive Christmas cards from them - they are like extended family. THEY DO AN AWESOME JOB. THEIR WORK IS SUPERIOR to other cleaners. ( We should know we have tried many in the area ) We have taken our suits, dress shirts, mending and what not to them ONLY for years and have never had a single complaint. ( Well they might be TOOO NICE --- but that is a rarity these days - so we will just put up with it! ) read more

I've been a loyal customer of Cherry Park Cleaners for the past 16 years or so. I'm a middle Manager who works in an office environment where the dress code is business/business casual. I've been bringing my work shirts and slacks to Mr. and Mrs. Shim for cleaning and pressing 2-3 times per month. They take a lot of pride in their work, have always done an excellent job for me, and they ALWAYS have my clothes ready for pickup the day they're promised (unlike some of their competitors). That's one of the main reasons I switched to using, and continue to patronize, Cherry Park Cleaners. If you're looking for a friendly, conscientious, prompt, and efficient Dry Cleaning service, I highly recommend Cherry Park Cleaners in Troutdale. -L. Scott Daniels read more
