My husband dropped off his dress shirts on Monday and was given a receipt promising they'd be ready on Friday. He got an email yesterday to let him know they were ready for pickup. He went to the shop today to find a sign on the door "closed December 26-28". No explanation, no apologies, no way to contact anyone. We are leaving for vacation early morning on the 29th and he is left empty handed! We had to go purchase all new shirts today as he literally left all his shirts with the cleaners and had nothing appropriate for our trip. Unbelievable. We will NEVER use this shop again. I am beyond disappointed with the terrible service and gross irresponsibility of this place. I can't wait to discuss this in person with the owner. To say I am angry is an understatement. read more

They are really hard on my clothes, and have ruined two things. I had a brand new cardigan, and it was returned damaged, with the buttons all scraped to hell. The girl at the counter was defensive, and told us that the sweater must be old or cheap, or maybe I had damaged it myself. Sorry, miss, in your $2 "Friends" thrift store t-shirt, but I don't trust your judgement on what constitutes quality fashion. After some back and forth, the owner called me. He was also defensive with me at first, and had the nerve to ask me if I had "done this before." What??? I asked him if he was insinuating I was lying. He backed off, and asked if he could make it right. He said he was the new owner, since October 2019, and he was working out the kinks. I said he could repair it. It took over two weeks, and the replacement buttons were some crappy JoAnn's plastic shit. They were sewn on with way too much thread, and so they hung all weird and clunky. These are decorative buttons, and their tailor sewed them on like they needed to hold pants closed. Looked like shit. And he didn't even comp the cleaning fee! I ended up buying some different buttons that were comparable to the originals and set off to fix it myself. I used a seam ripper from *above* the button to remove the thread, and found that their tailor had cut my sweater in two places!!!! I also had a blouse come back to me all snagged and pulled. These people don't give a shit about how they treat your clothing. They ruined over $250 worth of my clothes. read more

This place disappoints me so bad. It's SO close to my house. And I want to use them. But damn...they make it so hard. So I think I gotta be done. I tried them a little over a year ago. And they lost my clothes. Let that sink in. They. Lost. My. Clothes. They finally found them after an hour of searching but it definitely rattled my confidence in them. Fast forward to about a month ago. I stop in because again, it's SO close to my house and I want to use them. I meet the owner and she says they are new. Just bought the business. And focused on service. SWEET! I come twice and it's amazing. A little pricey but well worth for proximity and service. They send me an email today saying my clothes are ready for pick up. I check Yelp and they close at 6:30p. I drive down and get there at 6:15 and they are closed!! I call them twice but no answer. Such a bummer. read more

I brought my white jacket in to be dry cleaned, it came out crisp and clean. The top button was loose/falling off and they offered to fix it at no extra charge. Lots of available parking. I will be coming back for sure! read more

We've tried this place a few times and at best our clothes end up clean. At worst, they've damaged our clothes twice. One sweater ended up with damaged buttons, which they offered to fix and we gave them the opportunity to fix it. In fixing it they used cheap buttons and cut the sleeve to remove them. In subsequent visits, other clothes ended up damaged or with pulls in the material. It's unfortunate as this place is very conveniently located. But it's just not worth it to have our clothing damaged over and over. read more

Great service! I've been using Mt Scott since I moved to Portland in 2016. My suits always come out pressed and looking great. My girlfriend gets her pants hemmed here and refuses to go anywhere else. They were even able to fix the inside of my suit jacket that had ripped after a few too many drinks at happy hour. ;) read more

Great customer service and for a good and fair price. I got my wedding and head dress cleaned after 22 years and it cost the same as I was originally quoted 21 years ago at a different cleaner. The dress and head piece looks great and in a set of heavy duty boxes. The return time was quick,7 days! read more

We had a an unused coat cleaned. The coat came back with cleaning solution still on it which caused rough spots and streaks. We asked them to re-clean the coat which was to be done in 3 days. We came back 10 days after that and were told it still wasn't ready. It turns out they had misplaced the coat and when we picked it up the 2nd time it was still streaked with solution as if they had done nothing further to it. read more

They are the best at laundering shirts. My husband has a very expensive wardrobe and will not trust anyone else with his shirts. They do a fantastic job - every time! We have actually moved about 10 mi from this dry cleaner and my husband still makes the trip 1-2x/week to take his shirts. They are a bit expensive for dry cleaning. read more

Dropped my fairly new dress off at Mt Scott Dry Cleaners on a Saturday, came back the following Saturday to pick it up, they could not find the dress and asked if they could call me on Monday in the hopes they could find it. Monday came and went so I called on Tuesday to enquire if they were able to locate my dress. The woman on the phone said sorry she forgot to call me, but no they could not find the dress and asked if I could wait a week in case someone had it and would bring it back. I asked what if they could not find it? She said they would give me store credit, and I said I did not want store credit and that I would wait a week and we would talk about it then. I called again on Friday, and they could not find it so she asked if I could wait a week, and I asked why? She said the customer they think had it would be back by then, and if they can't find it we would talk. Still waiting to hear about my dress. Terrible service, and very rude. read more
