I was pretty sure she had a foxtail in her ear from our house in California. It turned out she had a 2x ear infection. Dr. Chris or Kris was amazing. Boney had a little piece of bandage stuck to her leg from a previous foxtail surgery the week before we couldn't get off without hurting her. The doctor removed it, gently, deftly, immediately. He was so kind to her. She doesn't like anyone and she liked him. He has a kindly smile and eyes that symbolize a kind soul. He is in the right profession. It was very clear he feels for the comfort of the animal as that was clearly his primary concern the entire visit. The cost was completely reasonable--for the medicine and visit. Totally delightful. We were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes on a hot Friday afternoon as a walk-in and well-cared for. Thank you so much.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Annette Heaslet and her team at the Cheerful Vet. I have…read morebeen using Dr. Heaslet for vet services since she opened her first clinic in Ashland 20 years ago, and was the first vet to offer truly holistic services, including acupuncture. She was my Dachshund's vet since she was a puppy and now cares for our rescue Lhasa Apso and rescue Siamese cats. Over the past 20 years she has continued to develop her practice, always staying on the cutting edge of holistic veterinary medicine, and offering the best natural pet foods at prices that even beat online stores. Their office visit price is $45, which is in line with other vets in town. I love that Dr. Heaslet knows that feeding your cats things like "Friskies" is likely going to make them sick over time, and that clay litters are likely to cause respiratory issues. If people feel criticized by that kind of information, there are plenty of conventional vets in town who you will feel more comfortable with. But if you want the best information actually based on science, then Dr. Heaslet is who you want to see. But the very best thing about Dr. Heaslet and her team is the truly caring, friendly attitude they maintain with their patients and patients' owners. I don't know how they are able to do that day in and day out over so many years, but they do it every time. It is obvious that Dr. Heaslet and her staff truly love what they do, and they really go above and beyond to give the highest level of care. Bottom line - The Cheerful Vet is the best vet in Southern Oregon, and I say that with 20 years of experience.

Dr. Hoyt was so compassionate with our dog and with us. She made a difficult situation much more bearable. The entire office staff treated us with respect and compassion. While we were understandably very upset and emotional, everyone there treated us with so much empathy and caring. I recommend this urgent care for anyone that is dealing with this same situation.
