I have an emergency situation with Frisco, the cat and when I called I was told I was no longer a client since I hadn't been seen since 2019. After taking our pets here for more than 30 years we were suddenly told rudely by "Wendy" that we were no longer patients. She talked over me as I was attempting to ask questions as to why!? Our pet needed to be seen and it was emergent. She said we had been inactive and I tried to explain that yes during Covid they were not scheduling wellness appointments. I wish I could give zero star review. My boxer just went blind and we took him there and they checked his eyes and everything and then went to check his blood pressure which he was already so nervous and scared because he hates the vet. They couldn't figure out their blood pressure machine and when they finally got around to it they said his blood pressure read high. I told them it is probably because he was nervous. They sent us home with blood pressure medication which made him so lethargic and literally he wet himself I called him up and they said to lower the dose so I did which did not help. This is because he probably did not even have high blood pressure if I would continue to give him the medication he probably would've died. I have never had a problem with this Vet. Clinic apart from the turn over of front desk staff. Tiffany is the one regular that holds it all together, always . The Doctors are great , I have had no problems with any of them , and I've used this Clinic for many years . I saw that one reviewer said that they preferred the place when it was Dollarhide , but , although I might be wrong I thought Dollarhide is now called Allen Creek , so that means the review is pointless and mistaken. I think that the Doctors are great , especially Dr. Schlipf , Covid regs . were put in place because it was safer for everybody, get over it ! read more

They really deserve a negative 10 star review my mom had several pets go here (back in the nineties and two-thousands) and they were okay she loved it when it was Dollarhide. I would occasionally get my cats "CD" cat food from Hills there when Pacific vet was out. Well... until recently when "covid" came around and they got super weird about seeing people (get vaccinated we want to get back to living normal). I needed a vet after getting a new dog and they wouldn't see me or my pet and when we had an emergency with a friend who was a client but her pets had not been there since 2018 they also turned her away. I'm all for medical freedom but get your sh!t together we are all vaccinated and we want to get back to normal. You are holding us back, quit being so darn weird!!! The staff is weird and love their current restrictive policies. The doctors are only okay at best not sure why I'm upset... Location is nice It's handicap accessible They offer a number of services But stay away, just find someplace/anyplace else. read more

Fantastic veterinary care. On a visit to see my parents my lovely canine companion Boney was having some ear issues. I was pretty sure she had a foxtail in her ear from our house in California. It turned out she had a 2x ear infection. Dr. Chris or Kris was amazing. Boney had a little piece of bandage stuck to her leg from a previous foxtail surgery the week before we couldn't get off without hurting her. The doctor removed it, gently, deftly, immediately. He was so kind to her. She doesn't like anyone and she liked him. He has a kindly smile and eyes that symbolize a kind soul. He is in the right profession. It was very clear he feels for the comfort of the animal as that was clearly his primary concern the entire visit. The cost was completely reasonable--for the medicine and visit. Totally delightful. We were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes on a hot Friday afternoon as a walk-in and well-cared for. Thank you so much. read more

I recently had to let my dog go and was very distraught about the situation. The Vet and Vet tech were great as it was a very sad and painful experience for me. As I was leaving I simply asked that someone go in and take her and Brittany said that they would have someone go in a bag her up when I left. I thought that was an awful thing to say to someone when you just put your dog down. I then said that that wasn't an appropriate thing to say and with a very bitchy tone she said "Well you asked". I thought Brittany was very rude and complained about her level of compassion to the office manager and the office manager sided with her. If that is the kind of service they are providing people then shame on them. I will never recommend anyone take their pets to this place again. read more

I have always taken my animals here all 4 for years. I recently called about my dogs needing their updated shots but I wasn't sure exactly which ones they were. So I called to ask and to schedule an appointment which would cost a nice penny because this was for several animals. Well when I called and spoke to a girl named brittani, I simply asked if she could look up my pets and tell me what they are do for and she said "look all of them up?" With the rudest tone I've ever heard on the phone. I relied "yes, all of my animals are due I'm just not sure for what." She then "said you should know". I have worked customer service jobs for over 10 years even as a manager of a store so I sometimes I am to patient with people because I have compassion for those who may have handled a tough situation or a rude customer so with patience I again asked her again stating " I had moved and wasn't sure where the paperwork was and really would appreciate the help" so I gave her the names and info and she was saying she couldn't find them in the system and that i should have updated my information. I asked her incredibly nicely "are you spelling the name right?" She yelled at me I KNOW HOW TO SPELL! I then said "I didn't not say you didn't but sometimes names, especially pet names can be spelt differently to different people. So she continued to speak very rude and loud "OK, TELL ME LETTER MY LETTER" so I did, "r, y," and she said "RRRRRR, YYYYYY" I paused in utter shock " she said "HELLLOOOOOOOO"and I finally said can I please speak to someone else. She said "HOLD ON!" And the phone disconnected. Well I called back she answered again and I asked to speak to another receptionist and she hung up. I called 2 more times and got hung up on. I am done with this vet! I have always recommended them and praised them but having this girl employed is a true mistake. Used to be a great place to take my dogs Until i tryed to buy heart guard. Was told NO because i did not have them test there required now , And was refused to give me for that reason . I asked why wasnt notifed they need a test was told it wasnt there responsibly to notified any one . I have gone to this Veterinary Clinic for 25 years or more. Ever since they sold out to a CORPORATION they have gone completely down hill. The place has become run down and unsanitary. I am currently looking for a new Vet Clinic. I have taken my Dog there 4 times for a skin problem, being charged all four times, and my dog still has a skin problem. Since becoming a CORPORATION, they now treat their clients like a CORPORATION! I'm going to look for a small self-owned Veterinary Clinic, as this one once was for 30 years. I have been taking my Dogs here for 7 years for 2 dogs. I called today to see if I could pick up some medication for Steeler because he has really bad debilitating anxiety when he hears fireworks go off. I was told that in order for me to get him some medication just 1pill. I would have to schedule a office visit so he can get an exam. So They want me to pay an office visit of $90. YOU JUST LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Why would he need an exam he has taken medication before for this and I was told several time in prior visits to call them and I could come pick something up. If you truly care about your pet, do not ever take them to this clinic. These people are in it for the $$$$$. They are rude, disrespectful and incompetent. They do what they want to do, which is the minimal, unless big $$ is involved. We took a poor, sweet 9 yo in who ended up having a mass in her abdomen. She needed an ultrasound, which you would think would be urgent. This clinic made her wait over a week for the ultrasound. Then the DAY that the ultrasound was performed, we called within 15 minutes of her being discharged because she wasn't acting right, they said over and over and over "oh she was fine here" She was DEAD within and hour of leaving this clinic. Only a highly incompetent clinic would have released her with internal bleeding which was evident on the ultrasound. Now mind you they took payment as quick as possible, yet would not accept any responsibility for being inept. Go anywhere but here if you love your pets. Terrible, Terrible clinic. read more

Very caring and competent staff, from the front desk to the vets and techs. They were very sweet when I had to put down an older cat. And then managed to win over a cat that doesn't like strangers and would hiss and claw at me when he was unhappy. This is a great veterinary office! read more

First of all if I could give them no stars I would. These people over vaccinated my 10lb puppy and her face swelled up like a balloon and she is puking and shivering and when I called them to fix it they told me that they didnt over vaccinate her and that her reaction isn't from the shots they gave her. Uhh are you kidding me!?. So in other words they dont want to take responsibility for there dispractice. On top of that they actually want me to bring her back in so they can charge ME more money for THEM screwing her up. This is disturbing. I've been going there for many years and you would think they would fix this on there dime since they are the ones who did this to her. I literally only went there for a check up on her puppy teeth. It states on the papper work I got from THEM what symptoms to watch for. How are you going to sit there and say this isn't from the vaccines? These people are money hungry and dont care about you're furr baby. It's either pay up or let you're dog suffer and or die. I cannot recommend them to anyone and wouldn't even if they were the last vet, I'd rather drive to a different town completely to take any of my animals into be seen. This is not our regular Vet. We called as an emergency on a Saturday and they took care of our dog within 30 minutes. The Dr's and staff are are very kind, friendly and professional. The fees were not excessive but considered reasonable and very fair. We are totally happy with this practice and highly recommend it. read more

Visited this hospital during a trip to my daughter's over the holidays. Found them chilly and to focused to much on the money and trying to sell more stuff that was not necessary. That's not what a hospital should be doing during a stressful time. Recommended she needs to look elsewhere. read more

The young techs are kind and helpful but the Docs are cold, fearful and uncaring. They are more interested in covering their butts, selling you heart worm medicine and over vaccinating your pets for profit than actually finding out whats wrong with them. The front desk people are well meaning but unqualified for their jobs. There are many better vets in the Grants Pass area, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

In an emergency situation where my regular vet, Dr Joes, and every other vet in GP would not help me or was too busy, they took my dog as a walk-in and I only had to wait 10 minutes. Left with my dog feeling much better! Switching to them as my regular vet. read more
