I started going to Pacific Veterinary Clinic bc the Vet I was going to couldn't provide the service we needed for our pug and so they sent us there. Needless to say we've ended up moving all of our pets to Pacific Vet and no matter which Vet Doc we have seen or which tech we have seen they have all been amazing! I just took my 10-year-old Chihuahua in for her first visit with Pacific Valley. They were very kind to fit her in. I met Dr. April Borman, who was very good and very thorough with my dog. The vet tech was also excellent and I'm so happy I got in today. They went over everything, her medication's her history and gave her a complete check up. So happy to have found this place!! We recently relocated to Grants Pass from CA. Two of our family dogs got into it the other night. One took a bite to the jaw. We called them right when they opened at 8 am and they had us send pics of her face. They called back and got us in at 8:45am!! This all women clinic was amazing to my scared rescue girl. She let the vet touch her face and everything. So sweet and gentle. We were in and out quickly and happy to report the swelling has gone down so much and she's returning to her normal self already. I have gone to Pacific Vet since I was 5, and at that time they were the best. However, over the years the quality and value have steadily declined. Over the last 6 years, I have taken my dog in for foxtail injuries, and all 3 times I was advised to have them perform exploratory surgeries to remove the foxtails, all of which were unsuccessful in removing the foxtails. Finally today, my wife brings in our dog for his appointment and gets gaslighted by the receptionist. The receptionist tells my wife they called yesterday, but the only number to call, that wasn't family, was a private number. Then she tells my wife that my wife must have written the appointment time down wrong. TL;DR After 25 years, try to gaslight my wife, last straw. We are seeking a new veterinary office. read more

Needing to have a dog euthanized. Was told we could be put on the emergency schedule however after asking the cost I was quoted a price for an urn. When I stated we would bring the dog home to bury on the farm I was told there were no appointments available. Denied because I would not buy an urn? Sure seems this was the case as the appointment we were offered was no longer an option. We had no issue paying for the actual service even in advance but they would not even offer a price without the urn. This extremely difficult time was compounded by the greed and lack of any compassion of the staff. We made the trip to the urgent vet care in Central Point. We were treated with kindness and understanding. They took care of our dog and while we were still brokenhearted we were comforted by the staff and providers on the urgent care in Central Point. Such a shame that Pacific Vet failed in all counts. read more

Raven was so sweet and professional and answered my simple questions promptly- unlike the Rogue River Vet Clinic who just hung up on me because I asked her the pricing of deworming my cat. She wouldn't answer the question. She insisted I bring my cat in in a stool sample and all these charges and fees would be incurred. Raven got all my info, ordered the rx all in under 5 minutes. I have used Pacific Veterinary Clinic for almost 30 years with my numerous dogs and cats. My experiences have always been positive and professional. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clinic! In comparison, on a Sunday (Pacific Vet. is closed then) I drove 2 hours round-trip to the SOUTHERN OREGON VETERINARY SPECIALTY CENTER in Central Point, OR to sit and WAIT in the hot, idling 100 degree heat-car for THREE HOURS to have them then tell me they WOULDN'T SEE OR TREAT MY DOG!!! They literally turned-us away! I emailed Pacific Vet. when we got home as the dog obviously still needed to be seen and treated!!! By 8:05 a.m. MONDAY MORNING I had a 10:50 a.m. "emergency" appointment and VOILA! My dog was SEEN AND TREATED! The cost is very reasonable and the staff is super-kind, caring and professional! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED after 30 years as a customer! I just had to finally give them the kudos online that they deserve! We have taken all 3 of our dogs to Pacific Vet over the years. My first pet, a poodle, began in 2008 and passed away just this past year 2021. She received excellent care from ALL the vets. I had a great experience here! Just moved to the area a few days ago so I don't have a vet down here yet, but my pup Lucas had a foxtail stuck in his ear. They squeezed him in on a Saturday and were very kind and patient with him. Our vet tech Sara was super helpful and explained everything during the whole process. A vet office that doesn't take sick animals. My dog cut her foot open, and we asked to see the vet. Even with almost an hour left until closing, we were told that they didn't feel like seeing another dog before closing time. Then we were referred to Central Point (almost 35 miles away). It's ridiculous that they can't even check to see if my dog is okay, especially after calling themselves a vet hospital. Not only were they unfriendly, they were rude. read more

I've been taking my 2 dogs and 2 cats here for a couple of years. They are the best vets I've had...maybe ever. And I've been a pet owner most of my 60+ years. Dr. Robyn and Dr. Jean are both excellent vets....caring, competent, and willing to take the time to explain everything and do what is needed. This includes making the recent decision very suddenly that one of my dogs needed to cross the rainbow bridge immediately. I switched to this office after having been going to another office nearby. We pulled a dog out of the river in front of our motel on Thanksgiving eve. We called Pacific Veterinary Clinic and brought the dog in. The staff met us in the driveway with a gurney and hurried him into an exam room where they wrapped him up and warmed him with a hairdryer. Dr. Rebecca looked him over and took him in. Another customer gave them money toward the bill when she heard our story. Dr. Rebecca discovered that he had a chip but couldn't track it after 2008. We left him in their gentle, loving, hands. Dr. Rebecca called the day after Thanksgiving to say that he had died a natural death and had likely wandered off to do just that when we found him. She was so kind, thoughtful and thorough to our poor little friend. They took care of this sweet old, cold pup and did not give us a bill. After a routine appointment for our Dachshunds earlier in the day, Chloe had an allergic reaction to one of her vaccines. It was about 8pm when we noticed her starting to rapidly swell up, and we started to "freak out". We called the clinic, and we were told that the Dr. was on her way back to the office, and to bring Chloe in. Dr. Schroeder (not our regular vet) was very calm, and under control, and was able to make a very scary situation relaxing. Chloe is back to her normal self. Our regular vet, not to mention the rest of the staff is wonderful, and the facilities are clean and organized. You can't go wrong if you take your four-legged family here. read more

I had my cat spayed picked up the cat brought it home I thought the stitches look like they were done pretty crappy But they were the cheapest for getting the job done it was like $80 unfortunately the cat opened up her stitches so I had to bring her back in this time they put in Staples but unfortunately they charge me $200 to do so so I would say $280 to get the cat spayed Way more expensive than anywhere else and later I brought my dog in to get a shot that was supposed to be $15 but they charge me $50 so they could rub my dogs body and call it a physical exam and charge 65 total overpriced sounds like a scam I would not go there again read more
