Many months ago I brought my cat in with a hematoma in her ear, the emergency hospital could have done the surgery that morning but the senior vet said he could do the surgery. I went to pick her up and was guided into a room with a young women vet who without my permission did the surgery she was out of vet school 3 months. I was told the vet watched her but he said he had to leave early to take his wife to the hospital. it was illegal for him to let her do the surgery by herself. He said he watched her the entire time. THEN WHY DID HE NOT DO IT HIMSELF IF HE HAD THAT KIND OF TIME I HAD NOT GIVEN PERSMIISION FOR ANHYONE ELSE TO DO THE SUGERY. I went back again I said my cat is not well, They said she won't have to eat or drink water for three days NOT TRUE one of the vet assistance was like a mad dog ( I love dogs but this was nuts) staring me down there to protect her and agreed. At three am my cat was drinking tons of water I rushed her to emergency where the doctor said she had almost no electro lites and was trying to supply them by drinking she could not! she was on deaths door. She said did they not give her an IV this was wrong who monitored this cat? I said I don't know when I called the vet he would not refund me, he was sweet but it was an act, I deserved to b e paid for. both the surgery and the emergency hospital, I should have taken them to small claims court but I was so upset I could not write this review until. now. This place and his too sweet response was an act I believed he has many years of being this way but when his vet made a mistake she didn't take responsibility. He said he had to leave his wife was sick and he had to take her to the hospital (oh sympathy for him now) well if she is that sick call an ambulance. Yep everyone loves this vet but he did not take financial responsibility for his mistake and the emergency hospital notes mention. the surgery was not right. (in medical terms ) they have Mal practice I submitted it to them they said they passed it along but I never heard back they simply evaded responsibility. This man took zero responsibility my sister has Parkinson's I don't drive her to the hospital I call an ambulance! they are not expensive maybe 150.00 I spent close to 4,000 for the emergency hospital and his cocky knows it all vet student.the next vet commented on wow so any stitches he laughed! This clinic said they could see my 22 year old cat to check his blood pressure and refill his blood pressure medication that was prescribed to him after a visit to the emergency vet for a ruptured blood vessel in his eye. Our regular vet did not have the equipment to take his blood pressure, and the emergency vet had given us just 6 days worth of blood pressure medication, just enough time to try to get him an appointment with our vet. Mountainview said no problem! Made us an appointment to get him in right away, and I thanked them so much for getting us in on short notice. Day of his appointment, I packed up my kids and my 22 year old cat who was just diagnosed with hypertension at the emergency vet after a blood vessel burst in his eye. Arrived 20 minutes before our appointment time to find a sign on the door saying they were closed due to staffing issues. I was in shock. I had told them on the phone how critical it was to get my cat in somewhere ASAP due to the small amount of BP pills we were given at the ER vet!!! And how I was so grateful they got us in due to that fact! The sign said they had made every attempt to contact everyone that they would be closed, but I did not receive any notice whatsoever!!! I double and triple checked my land line, answering machine, cell phone, email, and text messages, and there was nothing. They left me scrambling to try to find another vet that could do blood pressures on a cat and get in for an appointment with only 1 day left of life saving critical medication for our cat. I left them a phone message asking what happened! Why would they not notify me, especially in as dire situation as we were in?! I never heard back. No response. Ever. It was a miracle West Main took pity on me and got him in the next day, as we were going to run out of meds, and refilled it for us. They are our new 2nd vet now. Absolutely appalling treatment of what was going to be a new patient for them with a hobby farm full of animals. read more

My cat Jerry was on deaths door.... He was severely constipated for 4 days and after going to a different vet who misdiagnosed him with a disease, I decided to come here for a second opinion. So glad I did!!! Dr. Paulson and staff Destiny, Kendall everyone saved my little guys life today!!! She was able to go in and manually remove all fecal matter that was stuck in his guts. They took such good care of him!!! Wish I came here sooner. Even cleaned his ears for him. Kendall was able to get me in right away. Cannot thank you enough. Guys if you own cats please please keep an eye on them and give them a preventative hair ball control supplement or treat. This is serious and they can die from being severely constipated. read more

This office is all about the $$. I bought their "puppy package" for over $600 which included a 15% "discount" for neutering and some vax, a single nail clip, worming medicine that's very expensive after the 2 doses they give, etc. The price for neutering with their discount is between $719- $819 depending on the weight of the dog. I researched typical spay/neuter prices and found them far less than what tho vet offers even with the supposed discount. Be aware & shop around! This place is a rip read more

Doc Paulson and her crew are the best, we have been using the services of Mountain View Vet Clinic since 2013, all our cat have adopted us, so their first visit is to the clinic, for shots, nip, snip and as necessary chip. We recommend the clinic without reservation, so if your critters are looking to visit the vet, look no further. read more

I called 9 veterinarians before finding this one. No one was willing to take a new patient. This clinic got us an appointment the same week. They were very helpful and welcoming. I really liked the vet we saw. He didn't oversell anything. Just took care of the problem with our dog and sent us on our way without adding a million things like vet offices normally do. We really appreciated that. 100% will make the drive from GP for great service. read more

Dr. Blake saw my sweet babe--I was concerned that she had a uti and the clinic was able to get a swift appointment via a cancellation. Dr. Blake had a lovely balance of kindness and clinical acumen. He cuddled my babe as he reviewed her chart history and instantly understood her temperament based on her (rather obscure) breed. Just a fantastic experience. read more

They are VERY good,.. so they are very busy. We've gone into two other clinics which were good - but MVVC is great! When my wife took our aging dog into the clinic for the first time, she was trying to get a sense of the overall vibe of the place. They were amazing in all categories! My guess is that the negative reviews were either with different staff, or they didn't take into consideration how sometimes each staff member is doing the work of 10. read more

Yesterday we had our first visit for our pup, Maggie, with Dr Frederickson. My son, Maggie and I all had a great time, weird to say about a vet appt, but we did! We learned a lot, felt well taken care of and everyone we SO nice. I'm extremely happy with our decision to use Mountain View for our new pup. read more

First time client, took my Maltese in for a dental exam. Paid 50.00 (not bad) for the exam. The vet tells me my dog has healthy teeth but may have an infection. He then explains (very fast) that my dog needs all types of dental treatments (can't remember all he said) (Speed talking) but the price was an estimated $1,000.00 (I felt like I was listening to an auctioneer) The price could be more if he has to remove any teeth. If that is the case, he would have to add in an hourly rate which would depend on how long it took. He then tells me my dog has something wrong with his shoulder and needs surgery to repair. (Nothing is wrong with his shoulder) I do not recommend anyone going here as it seems like they are overpricing treatments and could possibly be adding things in that are not needed. I ended up taking my dog over to VCA Animal Hospital in Medford and was treated with integrity and got an appointment scheduled for his dental work with an estimate of $545.00 First time clients should be treated much better. Avoid this place. read more

Dr. Jochum, Stevie and staff are all nothing short of amazing!! My girl Ava is a staffordshire terrier and we are new patients to mvv clinic but don't get confused we are frequent flyers. We have spent the last four Fridays at the clinic and feel we have been treated nothing short of family. Being a "pit bull" owner I have moved vets often due to feeling judged or feeling that my pet would be quickly muzzled and restrained when shes out of my site. This office was nothing but loving toward my sweet girl. Stevie always asks for her hello kisses and goodbye licks from Ava. My girl is sweet, kind and gentle and I thank mvv clinic for seeing her as who she is and not what the media makes these dogs out to be. I will again and again be recommending this clinic to all my family and friends. Your kindness means more to us than you will ever know. -Laura and Ava read more

For a veterinary clinic, this place does not seem to care very much about the animals well-being at all. Our breeder scheduled an appointment for our puppy to have his 12 week vaccine, because no one around here is accepting new clients. She brought him in to this clinic for his initial 8 vaccines, and she takes her dog there. No one wants a new puppy to get sick and die because they can't get their parvo vaccine. We went in to Mt. View, gave them the breeders name and the puppy's collar color. They took him back. Then brought me & my 11 year old son and told us they would not give the puppy his NECESSARY vaccines, because they are "not accepting new clients." I explained that they were going to give him the vaccine under the breeders name. What's the damn difference? They will be paid for!! This office and the staff are rude, they are definitely not someone I will ever recommend. They could care less about the if the poor animals live or die. If I could give a half of a star, I would! read more

I called this office of which my dog is a regular patient. I reported that my dog was bleeding hoping to get help. The reply was " sorry we don't have any openings until next week" This is not the first time we have encountered a cold attitude trying to secure care for our pets. Perhaps these folks are swamped with more than they can handle we can make it easier for them. I don't often review but we are really discouraged by this attitude. read more

Dr. Landon and his staff are the BEST!!! This was our 1st visit and was an emergency with our 12 yr old dog Pomeranian/Jack Russell mix, Logan. From my 1st contact by phone, to meeting Dr. Landon and his staff, to the treatment provided I cannot express our appreciation enough. Considering the restrictions with the Covid Virus, to our pets not being established patients, this team far exceeded my expectations! Logan was immediately treated and we were made to feel like "family", rare in this day and age. I sincerely and emphatically encourage fellow pet owners to get acquainted with Dr. Landon and staff of this fine clinic. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SAVING LOGAN AND YOUR KINDNESS TO MY HUSBAND & MYSELF read more

This office is dishonest. They quote you one price over the phone, then when you get there they give you another quote that is more than double. When I spoke the the office manager she was very unsympathetic. I was expecting a bit of an upcharge but not 300 dollars more! read more

Thank you Mr. Landon, my Russian tortoise is doing just fine! You not only gave her and I the care we needed, you also showed me in a few minutes how to give a stubborn 'lil tort oral antibiotics. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Vera and Tostoya read more

I stopped by today with my pup without an appointment. We are traveling through the state and needed to have her stitches removed. I was afraid to do it. The vet said no problem and was happy to help. This is what makes a great vet, there in the time of need. Really appreciate your help and didn't even charge me for his service. Thank you! read more

This is the worst, most uncaring veterinarian clinic I have EVER known. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Especially during Covid. They are judgmental. Never returns calls. Gave my baby a very scary diagnoses WITHOUT even attempting an decent exam. Plus they did not even do what I asked. Charged me a small fortune. I was scared and in need of help & these people treated me horribly. read more

Dr. Fredericks is caring, objective and well informed. After 2 months at another clinic, my dog was dying in front of my eyes. After a thorough examination, Prescription Food was prescribed as well as medication given. My dog is on the way to good health. The caring given to me by Dr. Fredericks was so needed, after the previous clinic's veterinarians "hurry up to the next patient" attitude. read more

This is a great clinic. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable and they take great care of my two dogs. Also it is very affordable.

I absolutely love this place! The staff is so friendly and they always seem to get me in when ever it's needed. I appreciate all of their follow ups and the vet is always trying to help save me money verses taking me for all I got. I appreciate the staff. They are efficient and kind. I would highly recommend this team! read more

I was riding my bike and saw Dr.Landon's sign, went in to talk about my dog's long history of allergy issues. Dr.Landon continued with the same diagnostic care as the dermatologist I had taken my dog to in the bay area prior to my move to Oregon and we have gotten to some point of stability regarding his diagnosis and treatment. Dr.Landon is a cool guy and very professional as is his office and staff. read more

The best vet experience I have ever had for my animals!

Do not take your pets here. Kim was rude and unsympathetic to our pets needs and care. If you're looking for an AMAZING veterinarian, Medford Animal Hospital is the place to go. read more

I've been in Oregon 3 years and this is by far the best vet office around here. Very professional, very clean, very friendly, affordable and on time! It was a breath of fresh air to feel like the doctors cared as much about my cats as I do! I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone! So glad I found them!! read more

My puppy absolutely loved them! They were so professional and kind. They were so sweet to raven. 100% pleased with them.

Dr. Landon was very unprofessional, treating me and my animal like a dollar sign. Trying to persuade me to buy pharmaceuticals that were unnecessary. I have been to many vets in the Valley and he is by far the worst. He seemed as if he didnt like my animal, wich by the way is a PUG, and really nice one at that. i mean yeah hes not the greatest looking creature but he is a very good mannered animal, DR. Landon seemed to push me out the door with a bill rather than caring for the well bieng of my dog. He also ran tests on him for something i already had known was wrong, and i had stated very clearly that i did not want the test... I dont do reviews but this situation really made me step back and think that maybe someone out there taking their dog to him should know that you might run into a jackass. read more

Dr. Landon has been our vet since he moved to this present practice. Our four-legged kids have received the best of care all these years and we wouldn't ever consider changing animal clinic. We appreciate the kindness and consideration of Dr. Landon and all his staff, especially at those difficult and painful times when a beloved animal has reached the end of its life. We were very touched to receive a wonderful Sympathy Card when our dear Sandy passed, signed by each of them with kind words of regrets. Such a nice gesture... Thank you Dr. Landon, Kris, Kurt and Tammy! Mrs. Chris Kelley read more

Very happy with the care received here including nail trims for our kitty as well as the lion shave. Shelly does a great job with grooming.

I moved out of San Francisco and then Contra Costa County recently & thought I had some pretty good vets. Well I can confidently say that Dr. Landon rates very highly, if not higher than many of the vets my pets have seen throughout the years. I have seen several vets who really lacked not just the customer service aspect not to mention the compassion to care for these very important family members. Dr. Landon offers that while at the same time being professional. I found his office by doing a search & looking at reviews. I am so glad that I did. I have a lot of animals to care for & the right vet is crucial. I never have a problem getting an appointment. Dr. Landon is very fair, honest & talks about all options. His prices are very good & I feel that I have gotten very good service. I am very happy to have found Dr. Landon & will continue to take my pets to see him. read more
