I have called twice to ask questions about services and see about boarding my four dogs. No one answers the phone finally after the first call. I got a voicemail returned 4 days later. Now I'm looking at the reviews and know for a fact I would NEVER use this company. My dogs are my life.I cannot imagine what some of these people have gone through. read more

This place is disappointing and disgusting! My poor dog had diarrhea on his butt when we picked him after being there for 5 days and no one cleaned his mess and he came home with such a raw butt I had to treat him with meds. When I picked him up, the lady brought him to the door *on leash*. He saw me and she lost her hold on the leash and he made a beeline for the back seat of the car with a speed I've never seen before. This was nothing like his normal, smiling, wagging the tail and giving me hugs and licks. He barely looked at me, ran past me and just laid down in the back seat with his head on the seat looking straight at the door he left from. For 2-3 weeks he was laying in his bed with his head down. He would hardly eat for the 1st week after he got home. Every time someone walked by him or barely touched him, he YELPED! I gently checked him for any possible injury (legs, belly, body), checked for scratches, but I didn't see any visible injuries. He is usually the most Social and Playful dog, who will literally play with anyone (dog or human). He has never acted like this before (adult dog) *CRIES* This timid/ scared of humans behavior lasted a LITERAL 3 WEEKS?! I am so sad. I don't know what happened to him, but I WILL NEVER TAKE HIM THERE AGAIN. Covid is over, but they still won't you enter the business or tour the facility. My cat has been boarded here many times throughout his life and he actually loves it! Most cats seem to hate being boarded by he begs to go into the cat area when I drop him off. He loves the staff and the staff love him. read more

If I could put negative stars, I definitely would put -20. I CRIED when I saw/smelt how poorly my huskies were takin care of. I have always went to one boarding place but this time they were booked up and saw this place was liked. I dropped my babies off for about 11 days and I wish I wouldn't have left them for 1 hour. When I picked both babies up they were covered in pee, legs were stained yellow and had poop in between their paws. I feel like a horrible dog mom for letting them experience this place. One of my babies RAN to the car and was so happy to see me but would not look at the girl who handed her over. I left a bed for my senior husky and it was handed to me soaking wet me filled with pee. I was told "Sorry I didn't have time to spray it off. do you want me to put it in the car for you?" 11 DAYS AND YOU DIDNT "HAVE TIME" TO SPRAY IT OFF?! In the past (for years!)we had nothing but wonderful things to say about this kennel. Our dogs WERE so well cared for, clean and loved. Unfortunately, our last 2 experiences have now made us now question her care. New ownership, COVID and short staff may have compromised some of the care, but our pets should not have to suffer for it. The first visit she was filthy and her bedding needed to be tossed. She was This last stay , she came home with 2 puncture wounds, a 2 1/2 inch slice on her rear leg, explosive diarrhea and smelled like rot. (We bathed her the day before her 6 day stay). Accidents do happen, but not to be notified of any changes in her well being is not acceptable. read more

Recently I had to board my cats and my 12 yr old dog. My dog has anxiety issues with us leaving her. We expect a certain amount of anxiety from that. But, it has been five days since I picked her up and we are home. She is still unconsolable and EXTREMELY anxious. I am actually having to medicate her AT HOME where it is QUIET because she is so over the top with anxiety. We have NEVER experienced this before when boarding her elsewhere. This was a first board at Alpha Valley. The cats are fine but our dog is NOT. I am so concerned about her. She stunk so bad when I picked her up I had to give her a bath. Both of our cats were stuffed into one carrier, when we dropped them off, they were in their own carriers.I actually had to say go get our other carrier and put one in each carrier. This place is surrounded by fencing where WE CANNOT see in where our pets will be. Seems kind of secretive to me. I left not feeling good about leaving my babies there. Wish I would have chosen a different place. NEVER AGAIN!! I would not recommend this place if you love you pet(s). It's not worth it. Pay the extra money. read more

do not take your pet here! i took my dog on 1/28/2022. on 1/29/2022, we had to save her and take her to a vet, and she is expected to need surgery. within 30 mins. i was told she was fine and having a great time to a shattered broken leg. the owners have lied to animal control and will not release the surveillance. they told me no surveillance was there. they have changed their story multiple to me, my daughter, and animal control. read more

I'm a travel nurse who took an assignment in Medford and needed a place for my baby Rottweiler to get her wiggles out. Everyday our dog came back from Alpha Valley she was pooped from play time. She was happy to go back and see her buddies. I knew my dog was well taken care of here. I'm sad she won't be going back now that we've relocated. read more

his place was great with the previous owners, but now the new management is terrible. I put in my reservation a month and a half in advance, to find out they had forgot to put it in their system. They did take my cat in, however when I went to pick him up, I found his bed to be covered in his own urine. They didn't even clean his bed and made him sleep and lay in it for the week he was there. The employee didn't even know where the light switch was when I went to the back to get him, which showed me that they didn't check up on him enough to realize he was sleeping in his own urine. To top it off, I never received a single apology for any of these incidents. I will NEVER go back to place again. DO NOT trust the new management. They will not do what they promised. read more

I went to pick up my dog. The cost was fine for a week. I had asked that she would be walked twice a day. She is very smart (German Shepherd) and tells you when she has to go potty. I was NOT allowed to see the kennel where she would stay. I brought her bed, matching blanket ($125), my t-shirt, toys, treats. She was not given any treats. Her bed was SOAKED in urine. Now...my dog has never peed on her bed or in the house. She can hold it for up to 12 hours. I didn't get the blanket or my t-shirt back. I called and asked for it back 3 days ago. No call back. I highly recommend no one ever take their dog there!!!! read more

We've been boarding our pups here for years and will never trust anyone the way we trust Alpha Valley. The new management is just as wonderful as the original, if not even more so. The owner is extremely personable and genuine in her love of every animal that comes through the doors. We're so thankful that they are strict with their vaccination policy to ensure the health of all pets under their care. We would be willing to provide the report from the investigating Jackson County animal control officer when our dear Pomeranian was mauled to death back in Dec 2019 while we were on vacation and had boarded her at this Kennel. She was attacked by a large dog that was not properly attended to, had been there long past when the owners were to have picked it up, and had already shown aggressive tendencies and had previously jumped into the area where our dog was... and yet no additional precautions were followed. This gross negligence, ultimately on the part of the owner and operator of Alpha Kennels was directly responsible for the horrible death of our dear companion the subsequent emotional suffering we went through... especially for my wife as this was her "life dog". We held off sending this review as we assumed extreme measures would have been taken to prevent such ever happening again but recently learned have found out that another terrible injury to a dog has occurred at this kennel which we believe should be closed down. Who knows how many others have suffered from their negligence and apparent indifference to the safe care that was entrusted to them. read more

I'm just appalled at this latest visit experience with this Kennel. Owner would not let me see where my dog would be placed so that I could be assured for his comfortable stay. This new owner demeanor does not show a welcome feeling as I stand there in the office waiting for my pet to be checked in or picked up.Any questions I may have asked is always responded in a short abrasive manner. I have been taking my Dog there in the beginning with the previous owners for quite some time and never had any bad experience of my Dog showing any signs of nervousness. Previous owners always showed a welcomed feeling when you come to bring your pet or pick them up. They were very happy to show you around the Kennel and where your pet would be, so that left me with easiness that my Dog would be taken care of properly. Upon arriving to pick up my Dog, I experienced a very stand offish attitude with the owner as I handed her an envelope with the Boarding Fee, and she quickly took it out of my hand, which I thought was quite rude, and began to count it as if there wasn't enough money. No smiles, no thank you's, when checking out my Dog. She brought me back my Dogs bedding in shreds and stank of urine. My dog loved his bedding and would never think to tear it apart so not sure why that happened only to suggest he may have been neglected in some way. He is a fun loving dog and I was VERY unhappy to see him in this condition. I hope this Kennel WITH THE NEW OWNER will go under extreme evaluation and inspection, with the State. We have used Alpha Gay for probably 10 years but I'm afraid those days are over. I don't know what goes on on the inside but after every visit we have to throw the beds away they stink so bad. Maybe this is normal, I don't know, but those beds are disgusting. If that's the way it is at all the kennels, then ok, it is what it is. This time when we picked the dogs up the beds not only stunk but they were soaking wet! My poor dogs, it's cold enough in there as it is. My huge beef is that when we got home both dogs RAN for the water bowl and drank for about minute! They never drink out of the same bowl at the same time and they could not get enough. We had to fill the bowl again and those two kept drinking! When I took them out the next morning I expected them to pee like there was no tomorrow but they didn't. This is dehydration. I am an RN and I know this. I will not use them again. read more
