Overall this was a good experience. My new XC90 was over 700 miles from home when the engine light went on. I called Cherry Hill Volvo and asked for the service department. I was connected to Jean who told me they were booked and had no openings. When I told her of my situation, she invited me to bring the car in after asking for my information. When I arrived, I met with Jean who said they would do their best to get me back on the road. After 2 1/2 hours she came into the waiting area to let me know they finished the service work. It was supposedly repaired using a software update. They earned 4 stars for getting me into the dealership right away. They could have provided some updates while I waited. Using the Volvo app, I was able to see that they took my car out to the highway to test it. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious. The time it took for the software update was a bit long, though. read more

I was excited to purchase my first luxury car and decided to buy the Volvo XC40 from this place vs, Audi and Lexus. First month was great but as of April, the car wouldn't start. I brought it over to Cherry Hill Volvo early morning on Friday, provided them with all the info including screenshot of the error just so they got everything they need. Around noon, wondered why I have not been contacted for status. I called myself at 2pm to find out that they can't figure out the issue and they put a case in with Volvo. What does that mean? I was told I was going to be contacted Saturday., and yet again, I'm the one to calling in. Today I was told Monday, yet again no communication that I won't be getting it back. SMH Quick info on the car: 2026 Volvo XC40 with only 170 miles so as you can tell, I didn't drive it nearly as much as I want to. The car has a battery error and no one seems to know what to do. Service is nonexistent nor communicative. I keep asking to speak with a manager and getting a cold shoulder. Is this the way it is after purchasing a car from this dealership? I always feel like I'm a burden at this location. I've always gotten services items suggested here that I don't get suggested at other Volvo dealerships so it makes me feel like they are trying to get money out of me. I had to wait almost 4 hours for a simple procedure and there was no WiFi and the sales associated talk about inappropriate stuff while you're in the waiting area. For the amount of money you pay, I would expect the red carpet to be rolled out and at least a little customer service. I've owned Volvos for over 20 years and I feel like after this one, I'm going to jump ship to BMW. At the end of the day, they did fix my car but I never leave here feeling good. read more

Back again, this time a buy-out purchase of my leased vehicle. They secured a very good used car rate for me (3.35), and were honest to show and say my lease buy out was MANY of thousands below comparable used year/make/models on their lot, and helped me to decide the new sale stock truly made a buyout of my lease MY best option/value given my low mileage. I will say my experience with the local pickup/drop off valet service was less than stellar, resulting in many calls and being stuck at work until 5:45 p.m. (2 miles away and knowing the shop closes at 6), and then was at the shop until 6:30 p.m., as they weren't done with the car (despite a first a.m. drop off) before someone finally showed up to pick me up. This was an hour and 15 minutes after I was told to expect pickup. Not sure if they forgot I was valet v. loaner (since I always get a loaner), or if just very understaffed that day. Likewise, while certainly a more reliable option, the loaner cars are always very dirty (interior wise.) I try to keep in mind some businesses still suffer from COVID staffing issues, so don't want this to tarnish other aspects of overall experience too heavily (but it won't allow me to subtract just a half star), but it is an area I hope to see improve over the near future. read more

So disappointed in Cherry Hill Volvo Cars.... I setup an appointment to get service done on my car on Nov 24th. I take my car in and they told me that I couldn't get a loaner because they were all booked up and if I needed one I would have to book one ahead. I said okay and that I would rebook my appointment for when a loaner was a available. I went home and and rebooked an appointment for today with needing a loaner. I went to Volvo to drop my car off and pickup a loaner. When I get there they tell me they might not have a loaner available and also because I did not purchase my car at their location, I could not get a loaner... isn't a volvo a volvo?? What's the point of getting a certified volvo vehicle if they are going to treat you differently because of what location you bought your car? This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever had to deal with. Also instead of wasting 2 days of my time, why didn't they tell me I wasn't able to get a loaner the first time I was there?? Cherry Hill Volvo has the cleanest, most friendly, LAID BACK showroom I have ever purchased from in my almost 30yrs on the road. More importantly, their service department is UNPARALLELED. Our other luxury SUV charges a minimum of $600 for the annual routine service appointment on a BRAND NEW LEASED VEHICLE ! That is not the case with Volvo. ALL routine maintenance is covered - service is fast and they ALWAYS have a loaner car waiting for me on my day of service - something LandRover NEVER has. The service crew, particularly Kellan, is 5Star/ White Glove ANd like I said unparalleled. Cherry Hill Volvo is also very active in the community and even before I was a customer I always noticed how committed they were to giving back which reaLLy means a lot to me ! Sales Manager was awful. Drove an hour to look at an XC90 that I saw on the Volvo website. Was told the price on the website was "wrong". Total bait and switch. I would have been slightly more understanding, if he didn't come off in a way like I wasn't worth his time. When I left the sales executive told me to not make it a wasted trip and to check out the Wegman's...I told him I was going to find another dealership because I was buying a car that day. Drove to Princeton Volvo, paid more than I planned to pay but got a better deal on a certified pre-owned XC90 with less miles than Cherry Hill was offering! Take the extra drive to Princeton Volvo, the building is nicer and much more comfortable and the Sales team doesn't make you feel like you're not worth their time! Super frustrated getting a bill in the mail a month after purchasing a car for a previous Volvo lease turn in when I specifically asked if the fee would also be waived with going with a different vehicle and being told yes. Now a month later the Sales Rep saying no. I had to go back after purchase for another detail because the "main detailer" worker wasn't there, I should of known then that the pride in their work was slacking before this even bigger frustration. Last week, I had a less than favorable encounter with a sales associate when initially inquiring about a vehicle. The next morning, a gentleman named Andrew Fang called me to discuss the issue after reading my initial review. He and I had a pleasant exchange and all he asked of me was that I give Cherry Hill Volvo an opportunity to prove themselves worthy of my business. Today I am so pleased to report that I am a proud owner of a 2021 Volvo XC60. The entire process was completely transparent and efficient; I was in and out of the dealer in one hour. Sharon Russo showed me the vehicle, went over how to use all of the features, and answered all of my questions. It was actually fun learning about the car and she did an amazing job. Andrew had all of my paperwork printed and ready for my signature. This was the first time in seven years after buying a new car every year that there weren't any last-minute changes to the payment or what was being offered to me for my trade. My experience today at Cherry Hill Volvo truly impressed me and exceeded all of my expectations. Their slogan, "Where relationships matter" is very true. I never ever thought that anyone from a dealership ever truly reads these reviews and if they do they usually respond with a plea to call and discuss further. Mr. Fang actually called me. He took the time to figure out who I was, found my contact information, and called me. He did not try to make excuses or pass the buck; he listened to me, he apologized, and then immediately put in the work to earn my business. Mr. Fang is truly an exceptional professional as is Ms. Russo. I also want to say that I also met Yosef, Cohen who is the General Sales Manager. This dealership at 1:00 PM on a Monday afternoon was busy. He too took the time to introduce himself, apologized for the initial interaction I experienced last week, and asked that if I have any additional concerns or if I needed anything at all, to reach out to him directly. I thought this was truly classy given that the matter had been dealt with, the dealership was busy and I am sure he had more important things to do than to come by and speak to me. My husband and I knew that we wanted to purchase the XC 90 Inscription. We called the Sales Dept at Cherry Hill Volvo and were told that there was only one person who could help us take a look at that particular car but she would be out for the week. We left our number and never got a call back. (We had waited two weeks). So we went back to the dealership in person and were told that it was her day off (Friday) so we should leave our number and she would call us on Monday because no other sales person could give us information on that car. Never got a call on Monday. Went back to the dealership and someone gave us the keys to the car so we could test drive it. But no one offered any info on the car or cared that we really wanted to buy it. We left our number again for that one and only sales person who was able to sell that type of car (crazy, I know!) and waited two more weeks and never got a call back. So we went up to Princeton Volvo. Someone took us back right away, explained all the details of the car, showed us the various specs on the car on his computer, and within about 20 minutes we had built our very own beautiful new XC90 Inscription, ordered it from Sweden and paid cash. We ended up having issues with that 2nd Volvo... same problems as the first one. After much back and forth we at first decided to leave volvo. We spoke to corporate and they agreed to buy back this volvo and refund our 5k deposit but would take a few weeks do fo so. We were in a loaner and one day the GM Dennis called and said they would be ready the following day to complete deal. I asked if our deposit would be a check or cash and he replied he knew nothing of any refund. I told him they took our trade in and 5k cash and they can't just take loaner back and give us nothing back . He said he would look into it. The following day at 9 am Dennis called and said they are not giving deposit back and would be there at noon to pick up loaner and the GM Dennis threatened to call the police on me if I wasn't there with the loaner. I hung up and called a lawyer.... (1-800-lemonlaw). A little later Yosef (sales manager) called me, apologizing for the previous phone call and after some back and forth he offered to put us in a T6 with multiple upgrades for less money a month. We decided to do this because honestly we love these Volvo's and really appreciated our salesman. If you're going to go here, just make sure you deal with Mr Lafferty as your salesman . I am sad to have to leave this review but I don't want anyone to go through what I have at this dealership. I bought my 2012 XC60 in August of 2015, and I loved it. However, since then I have had nothing but problems with it. Service was ok while I was under warranty, but once the warranty was up it was a different story. I was told by the service manager that he had, "too much money in the car" and he would no longer make repairs at his cost, even though these were problems that were never properly repaired while the car WAS covered under warranty. Many times while the car was under warranty, they chose to put a bandaid on problems to save money instead of actually fixing the issue. I am now working with the corporate office to come to a reasonable solution, but I will never again use Cherry Hill Volvo. read more

The repair was fast and I was soon back on the road. Told me they'd hold a car for me over the weekend; sold it anyway. Had some back-and-forth emails with Sarah Respes on a Friday about an XC70 that had just come in. She told me that afternoon she was off work for the weekend and would get back to me on Monday. Since I am buying from out of state, I called in and spoke with Mitchell Insel to see if I could place a deposit on the car so it would be held. He spoke with his manager and told me the car wouldn't be sold over the weekend and not to worry about it. On Monday Sarah emailed me with no remorse "The vehicle you were interested in was sold over the weekend." Awful customer service, if you're going to sell the car anyway, at least please don't lie about it. I also previously spoke with Mitchell about a different vehicle and he sounded very uninterested in the whole affair, never mind that I was trying to give him money for a car. read more

CM was able to take my order over the phone and get the part in two days. Things here were the way I like it - short, sweet, and to the point for service without and frills or mark ups. There are a number of reasons that we keep going back and rarely have purchased or serviced elsewhere. Jean Furter is flat out the best service representive you could ask for; she's professional, honest and always helpful. She has always treated us well and fairly. I recently bought two cars here and dealt with Mitch Insell, he found great vehicles for us and gave us the right price, up front. Mitch is straight forward and honest. I will go back to him again. These idiots triggered the "SRS Airbag Service Urgent" light on my dashboard after I took it in for a recall. Got stuck far from my house when it went on and being a woman I panicked and went to the closest mechanic I new of where I was. Cost me $128 + Tax to have it fixed and these losers didn't even have the common courtesy to respond to my letter asking for reimbursement. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership to take your car to. I've had a long history with these people since I purchased my car from a dealership in PA (we live in NJ now) and they were the worst I've ever dealt with in 50+ years of buying cars. read more

This afternoon I arrived at this dealership. I parked my car and walked around the parking lot for a significant amount of time. I did not see the vehicle that I was looking for so I entered the showroom. There were three visible sales people, two with customers and the third sitting at his desk. He made eye contact with me and said NOTHING! I spent time looking at two vehicles in the showroom, sat inside one of them and opened all the doors, the back hatch, etc. I was NEVER greeted! I was NEVER asked if I needed assistance! I was ignored! I walked out! I guess I'll have to bring my husband next time in order to earn some common curtousy and customer service. DO NOT BUY HERE! I was in the market for a new vehicle earlier this month and was fully prepared to purchase the Volvo I test drove with Johann Smith right before the 4th of July holiday. I went home that evening & researched the car, finding that not only did they have it well over KBB pricing (by $2000+!!) but the car had been sitting on the lot for over 6 months. The next day, I went into the location, and put an offer in on the vehicle that was closer to a reasonable price. Johann and the manager not only refused my offer but refused to lower the price until I left the dealership when they called me to offer a few hundred dollars off. When I declined to work with her any longer she hung up on me. Being that I had driven from Philadelphia to NJ TWICE to see that car, you would think they would have taken me seriously. If you are young, a female or a minority I would NOT suggest going here, they will try to get you to over pay and/or not take you seriously as a consumer. - Review for service department only - We have had our Volvo for about 5-6 years now. Love the car in a big way. Said car was purchased in San Diego when we lived there. Due to warranty whatnot we are very diligent about servicing our vehicle at the dealership. We are so lucky we moved somewhere that has a dealership with such a strong service department. They get the job done, no bullishit, no surprise "oh we need need to keep it longer. We had a horrendous experience with the dealership in San Diego which were a bunch of.... yeah... but Cherry Hill Volvo has slowly but surely regained our trust and brand loyalty with their excellent customer service. He answered all of my questions patiently and helped me decide to purchase a CPO Volvo XC 60. He introduced me to the service personnel and assisted me in purchasing a few accessories for my car. My husband and I took our 2003 S60 to this place since we had some issues with the fuel sensor and was hoping that Volvo "experts" could figure out what was wrong. Previous to this, we spent 1200$ at another mechanic to fix the fuel pump which was the suspected culprit, but the issue remained shortly after. The AC/Heat was working *PERFECTLY* before taking the car here. They held the car for a week without calling us ONCE with an update. We called THEM, and they quoted us the same price for the same fix that we had already just did. We wanted to get the car back and when we did we noticed that the AC/Heat controls were disconnected to the car computer. They refuse to fix this, and that is ABSURD. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I've had a number of experiences with this dealership, both in terms of sales and service/body shop. So the rating is mixed between both. In terms of sales, it was very underwhelming. I think we got total of 5 minutes from a salesperson who clearly was not interested in even trying to sell us a car once we said that we are shopping around. Though I don't want a salesperson to be be all over me, I do want some attention, especially if I have questions. In terms of the body shop it was two different stories. The first time, it took them 3 tries to get the color on my corrected and in the end it was still a bit off (!!!). The second time everything was smooth and perfect. I really don't understand how is that even possible, but what happened, happened. Beware their service department. Brought car in for oil change (wife's car) and they tried forcing another $700-800 in repairs on us. Both were for alleged leaks related to power steering and brakes. When I told the service writer I've seen no evidence of leaks, he said they were more like seepage than leakage. Not sure what the difference is. Anyhow I asked him to show me the seapage and all they were able to show me was some residue near the manifold. It showed and proved nothing. They also wanted to rotate tires for $70. Pep Boys does that for free. read more

Very expensive for routine service (oil change, check belts & fluids, check pads). Also the one issue that I was aware of (grinding noise when turning steering wheel at slow speed) they were unable to diagnose and told me I would need to bring it back during a weekday. (I work full time in Philadelphia.) So I'm out $700 and still have that problem. I've heard about how expensive Volvos are once the warranty is up. I probably won't buy another. Still, the people there were very pleasant. I just don't understand why they couldn't diagnose the problem. It happens every time you steer at low speed (like 5mph) and is very loud. read more

The review is for the service department and not the sales team. I was new to the area and need a dealership to help with my XC90 so I decided to make CH Volvo my home shop. One Saturday morning my check engine light had come on and my transmission was acting funny. I arrived at the service department and Jean let me know that she had no appointments and no loaner cars which I completely understood as it was almost time for them to be closing for the day. Jean and I had to go back and forth for awhile but she reluctantly agreed check the engine code. However, she made sure to let me know numerous times that I was going to be charged the fee because they would only be able to diagnosis and not repair. I agreed as I didn't want to damage my car further. Once the code was checked Jean came and let me know that there was a fuel injector issue and that the car was potentially dangerous to drive. Jean then let me know that she was going to put me in a loan car (keep in mind she told me earlier there were none). That following Monday I received a call from Jean and she let me know the repair was cover by Volvo at no cost. I was frustrated by the lack of quality customer service but at the end of the day the car was repaired. Fast forward to the next check engine warning light, because of my last experience I didn't want to show up to the service department without an appointment so I called the day before and setup an appointment for the diagnostic screening, I arrived at the appointment and I'm warmly greeted at the service garage. However the first service rep could not find my appointment in the system so then I got to go and talk to Jean. Jean after several minutes of back and forth found my appointment written down on a piece of scrap paper on her desk. Jean let me know that there was a fee for the diagnostic which I agreed to once again. I dropped the car off on Thursday afternoon and told them I didn't need the car back until Tuesday. I didn't hear from anyone about the status of the car so I initiated a call back to service on Monday mid morning, I was transferred to a line that went to voicemail and about an hour later I received a call back and Jean let me know that they found the problem and it was an oxygen sensor which was not covered and I understood and authorized the repair. At pickup I was surprised to see that I was still charged a diagnostic fee as historically if you authorize the repair the diagnostic fee is waved at least at BMW, AUDI and Infinity that was the level of service I was accustom to. I really like going to the dealership as I completely trust the mechanics who are completing the work but with the lack of customer service and what I feel to be unfair invoicing I'm not sure if I will be returning to CH Volvo Service department again. read more

Absolutely appalled by the service we received from the sales department. My husband and I went in looking to test drive and likely buy a car. Granted, we went in on a busy afternoon, but the service department acted like they couldn't be bothered giving us the time of day. No one who worked in the dealership was following appropriate COVID precautions - I watched managers and sales reps pull their masks fully down for long periods while on the showroom floor. We had to ask a sales person to wear his mask correctly while standing close to us. We finally test drove a vehicle and then were told there was no one to talk with us, and were asked to come back in an hour. When we return up an hour later, the sales rep that was supposed to meet with us was busy and we met with someone else who literally knew nothing about any of the cars. He was googling information in front of us that we already knew from our research ahead of time. Couldn't give us any pricing information and took his time getting back to us to us follow up the following week. After we left the dealership we immediately called the Volvo dealership in Fort Washington and reached someone knowledgeable and helpful - we will be buying our car from them even though it's twice as far away from where we live. Save your time - the Cherry Hill Volvo dealership seems incredibly poorly run/managed. read more
