We asked InTown Auto Care to conduct a pre-purchase inspection of a car we were thinking of buying…read more We called three shops before going with InTown, and although InTown charged the most for their inspection--they are not the low-cost provider, as noted in other reviews--we trusted them because it was clear that pre-purchase inspections were "a thing" for them. Unlike the other shops, which basically said "we'll just tell you orally what's wrong with the car," InTown described an established process and a detailed checklist of what they look for. And sure enough, at the conclusion of the two-hour inspection, they provided us with an extremely detailed report that covered dozens of aspects of the vehicle. It was very thorough, with photographs, and they gave it to us in print and electronic form. They then walked us through the report--my husband and I know very little about cars--and explained the issues in a way we could understand. They gave us a very honest assessment of what would be involved in purchasing this car (which they described as "a project"); they were quite candid, and they did not sugarcoat what we'd have to do if we bought the car. In the end, we decided to not go through with the purchase, since we don't know much about cars and aren't into "projects." I was very impressed with InTown Auto Care. We don't live in the Moorestown area, but if we did, I would come to them for all my car-care needs.

Nobles Automotive: 9-Year, $42,000+ Relationship Ended with Hostility…read more Nobles just threw away a 9-year, $42k relationship by having a staff member aggressively tear up my work order and tell me 'don't come back' after failing to honor an appointment. I scheduled this service a week ago for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma work truck. Because I no longer live in Haddonfield full-time, I drove over an hour and stayed the night specifically to ensure the truck was there for its Thursday slot. The same person who set the appointment called me THIS MORNING to confirm the work was on schedule. I arrived at 4:45 PM only to find my truck hadn't moved. Instead of an apology for the massive logistical inconvenience and broken promise, the representative was dismissive and rude. When I stated I would be leaving a review about this poor service, he became hostile, deliberately tore up the paperwork in front of another customer, and told a decade-long client to never return. Between my personal vehicles ($17,000) and my crew's vehicles ($25,000), we have been the definition of loyal customers. To be met with this level of unprofessionalism and a total lack of accountability is a massive red flag. If they treat a $42,000 client like garbage, they will certainly do the same to you. A shop is only as good as its word and its management; unfortunately, Nobles has lost both. We are taking our fleet elsewhere.

Waiting room was cool and comfortable, no WIFI and no bathroom that I could see (but then, I didn't ask). Apparently when car inspections were all thrown for a loop during the pandemic days, everybody kept forgetting their weren't automatically for a two year extension. Thanks for the reminder!

I paid Linton $1,500 upfront to fix my engine. He told me the engines I provided didn't work but…read morethey came from a reputable 4-star company that's been in business over 10 years. My car was drivable when I brought it in. After he worked on it, it was left undrivable, with parts unplugged, engine bars removed, and key components missing. When I took it to another mechanic, I showed them the receipts and parts I had purchased for the repair. The new mechanic pointed out that some of the old parts were still on the car meaning the new parts I paid for were never installed. That raised serious concerns: Did Linton keep the new parts for personal use and just take the money? I asked for a refund, and he only gave back $400 despite doing no real work and leaving my car in worse condition. I lost $1,100 and had to pay another shop to replace my engine properly. As a teacher with no second income, this was financially and emotionally devastating. I trusted him because he worked in a shop but that trust was a costly mistake. Please get a second opinion if you've had work done by Linton or plan to. I'm now requesting the remaining $1,100 refund, which is more than fair considering the damage and dishonesty. Don't let this happen to you.

We often bring our cars in for "just a checkup" alongside oil changes and have never had to do anything but routine maintenance. This tells me two things: 1) they are not interested in completing unnecessary repairs just to make a buck and 2) they know how to keep a car running well beyond 100k miles. I would never take my car anywhere else - in fact, I once had my car towed 90 miles to Russ's! Also - note that they are not closed. Yelp is reporting the location closed, but it certainly is not closed.

When I got home they recharged the freon "for free". (of course that didn't help the 12 hours driving in the heat I had to endure). Once again the ac was out by the next day. Then they said I needed another $300 job to fix it. They were obviously performing escalatio on me. Don't use these guys for anything.

I received the call and the first words out of his mouth are, "do you want me to tell you why we charge what we charge or not" nice attitude. I will not detail the preposterous explanation he gave me including needing to test drive after a tire rotation on a car with under 6,000 miles.
