Don't mention you serve in the military! I purchased my 2nd Tesla today. I own a Model Y and just bought a Model 3 for my wife. No issues with the first place I bought my car North Jersey. This place seemed to be bothered by me being there. I was never able to get anyone on the phone and texts were answered sporadically. When we locked in our buy we were told there was the federal rebate, $1000 referral credit, ZERO sales tax, $2000 NJ rebate, and an additional $2000 rebate if I made less than $150k per year. After checking my details I was told the $1000 rebate was switched to $500 recently. When I showed here where it said $1000 she said "I don't know what to tell you". Another sales rep said "hey it actually says (UP TO) $1000 and that's only if you get a Model S. The rest are $500. They initially didn't credit the $2000 rebate because our mailing address is in VA. I am a NJ resident stationed in VA. This was not ever explained, but I was able to add it. I was then told I had to apply for the second $2000 rebate and it would take 3-5 days to complete. So my choices were to take delivery or return after this process was complete. We drove 3 1/2 hours to pick up this car. THEN I noticed $1,400 in sales tax. They then told me that a week ago it was changed from zero to 3% tax. I said I signed the paperwork before that went into place. Again I was told "I don't know what to tell you. Every comment was short and rude. I have never been treated with as much disdain for being there. I was treated this was in front of my wife and son. I love these cars, but I sincerely regret doing business with Cherry Hill (the place I call home). VERY Disappointed! read more

While the pandemic's aftermath has made buying any car a gruesome tale of short supply and egregious "marketplace adjustments" (eg price gouging on any make/model that you'd want in your driveway) the Tesla approach is almost reassuringly bloodless. Here's the car, here's the price and if we're in the mood we'll put you on our waiting list. And, if that disturbs you, tough... as Tesla's MSRP rises almost weekly due to the pesky dirth of the rare earth minerals we need to make batteries. You snooze, you lose. I was just curious as I have no desire to be on the bleeding edge of the first gen EV's but to a car buyer used to wrangling with the Brylcreemed reptiles who shill for the gas-powered legacy makes and hand out rebates like stale gummies, the over the top sanctimony and imperiousness of the Tesla process almost won my respect. Not enough to buy one but for some reason, I think I caught a glimpse of the future and it's not on the buyers side. No stale gummies today. Four stars. read more

They provided an offer estimate for my 2020 Tesla and two weeks later they updated the offer to $4,000 less than the original. No valid reason for the reduced offer. Very poor experience on the phone with Tesla Cherry Hill, NJ .... We ordered a Tesla just a couple days prior to the call. There was no VIN # associated nor specific delivery date yet. We had a family emergency where my mother who is on the order had to take care of an elderly member of the family and unable to take delivery as she would be in Europe. Tesla informed us that State of NJ will not access Power of Attorney. So, I asked for the $250 refund and I was told that that is not an option. That is pretty strict policy for a new coming manufacturer who doesn't even have a committed date for delivery. Definitely I didn't feel as a valued customer before handing over the $60K, what would happen after the delivery, I don't even want to imagine. Worse customer service!! Absolute ass. Tesla roadside repairs service told me to go here and said I didn't need an appt because my issue made the car unsafe to drive. Called the service center to confirm it was okay to come. Arrived at 10:30am, place was totally swamped and I was told to wait in waiting room. At 1 pm I was informed this was not an issue they would be able to fix here and that I would need to go to a body shop. It took another 30 minutes for them to reassemble my car so that I could leave. The folks at Tesla Cherry Hill are great. I've had a few issues with my car and each time I've been there, they've taken time to personally walk me through issues and concerns with the car. The communication prior to, during and after the service is also top notch. The waiting room is small and minimal, but there is free coffee and water. Tesla also offers FREE Uber rides home and back to the service center when the car is done and ready for pickup. I would definitely recommend the Cherry Hill, NJ location over the Devon, PA service center by a wide margin. read more

I purchased a Model X. There were some small issues that needed service. Somethings are understandable - such as not having as many loaners as expected, scheduling, etc. Logistical issues. But John the service manager (as described by another review) - was absolutely despicable. My car was left uncharged for over two weeks and the battery depleted to nothing. I got alerts all weekend about the dangers of it being so low but the service center doesn't work weekends and I could not reach anyone to charge it. When I called first thing Monday morning - they had no idea what had happened. When I asked to speak to the service manager, I was told he was in a meeting. I asked that he call me back as soon as possible - he never bothered to call. I received an automated text that my car was ready. When I went to pick it up, I asked for John again. He walked up to me and said what I can do for you? I brought up my situation and that I had expected a call from him as the service advisors were not knowledgable about my car's situation. He told me he was too busy and that I had already spoken to someone. I asked what was he going to do given the neglect to my car and the potential damage to the battery I received multiple alerts about. He said it was fine - there was no concern. When I asked if he could show me that the battery didn't receive any damage, he asked me to show him that it did. His arrogance, disrespect, and unprofessionalism was so offensive I have spent hours trying to reach anyone at Tesla to hold him accountable. When you spend over $70,000 or even $70, all people and especially consumers should be treated with respected. If I could return the car, I would - solely because of how offensive their service manager is. read more

I'm updating my previous 1-star review to a 4. I'm not sure what happened - maybe Tesla as a whole is more mature, maybe there's a new service manager, maybe I'm more lucky. In any case, I brought my car in for two services: replacement of a broken windshield, and a flat tire. Routine stuff, granted, but the service was on-time, I was kept informed, and things went much more smoothly. Now when you call, you can actually talk to a human being, and in general they seem to be much better put-together. A great improvement. They still need to have a much more personal touch (e.g. like at BMW where they assign you a service advisor who is personally accountable for everything), but things are better than my previous miserable experiences. read more

I stopped in to the showroom yesterday to gather information. The sales person could not have been less interested. Kept telling me to go online for the information even though I told him that I'd already been online and wanted to ask additional questions. He had zero interest in speaking with me or selling me a car. He told me that the model 3 wouldn't be available for several weeks and, even though I told him that I didn't need the car before that time, he offered no info other than for me to go home and check out the website. When you spend that much money for a car, you expect that you aren't walking into a place where people just don't give a crap. I was originally suppose to take delivery 2-3 weeks but my car was pushed back to 5-6 weeks.. so I began with a ok experience with Tesla.. after my car I guess was starting to be built Alexis Puhl contacted me about setting up orientation after completing that she helped me step by step on how to complete my purchase! I would email at all times of the day from 4am-10pm and she would reply almost immediately! She had all the answers! She made the buying process super easy for me! She never got frustrated with me or anything!!!! If you go to Cherry Hill and have Alexis you WILL have a great buying and delivery experience with her! I also had Dave helping me and he was super helpful and helped get my car adjusted to me and my phone to pair up with the Tesla (my phone for a while wouldn't connect it was super weird) he was also super nice and super helpful! It was clean, well lit and modern with our vehicle inside on the charger. Both the Tesla and paperwork were ready. I really appreciated the no waiting, no nonsense approach of Tesla. I just got back from picking up my 2019 Tesla Model 3, and I wanted to write this review before I forgot anything. I won't be writing about the car itself, as that is not really what this review is for, but rather I will be writing about the dealership. The first thing I noticed is that there are not many parking spaces in their lot for shoppers. If I could suggest anything at all, it would be either to expand their parking lot or shuttle employees from a remote location in order to free up space for customers as well as charging stations. This is the only problem I found at Tesla of Cherry Hill. When I entered the dealership, I noticed a few things that were a bit strange, but in a great way. There was one example of each model on display. A model 3, S and X. Along the walls were large touch screen displays to answer some of the basic questions regarding electric vehicles, charging and solar generation. The lack of clutter gave the dealership a distinctly open and friendly feeling. There is also an amazing thing: It's paperless! A great thing to do in this day and age. I was greeted enthusiastically by what I assumed was the manager. He introduced me to Rodney, the sales associate. As Rodney took me on a tour of the Tesla Model 3, I became more and more comfortable not only with the product but Rodney's style of presentation. He was able to answer any question that occurred to me at the time and was very sincere in his desire to help me. It was at that moment, that I knew that I was going to put a downpayment on a vehicle. Rodney made the task of navigating the registration and deposit process easy. This is the first time I've ever left a dealership with great feeling, rather than the feeling of going through financial combat with someone who's only job is to separate me from my money! Rodney suggested that when I get home, to register on Tesla's website, which might substantially decrease the lead time of me receiving my car. On the website, it makes a point of mentioning three weeks wait time. Once I registered, the website came back with an approximate wait time of two weeks. By the time I was on the phone with my car insurance company fifteen minutes later, Alexis called me to tell me that I could pick up the car today. So basically 24 hours after my order! Alexis had a very funny relationship over the telephone and SMS regarding all of the paperwork and necessary documents necessary when buying a new car. Now, remember, Tesla is environmentally friendly and paperless, so Alexis had me photographing title, registration, tags, and insurance. All necessary in the process. Throughout the process, Alexis was so understanding of all my questions and photos that seemed to turn out, well, not the best. She even called me this morning to remind me of our meeting and to see if she could answer any questions and that I had everything I needed before I left home. Once I arrived at Tesla, Alexis and Devon were there to greet me and to assure me that it was going to be a fun day to learn about my car. While Alexis took care of my trade-in, Devin and I ran through the paperwork for the completion of the sale. From there, I started learning about the car. Devon first started me with charging, which I guess is the logical place to start. We then went through the systems and interesting things that nobody usually tells you about the new car you just bought. Suffice it to say that I really had an enjoyable time learning about my car thanks to Devon's sense of humor. Before I left, Alexis came back to give me my tags, and a leash for my dog that I forgot to take out of my trade-in. I can't believe how thoughtful Alexis was. We spoke again, and she gave me some great advice. Finally, Alexis just emailed me regarding some questions I had regarding adapters for the charger, long after she should have been off the clock and at home beginning her weekend. I have to say from the moment I stepped into Tesla of Cherry Hill until the moment I drove off in my new car, I never had a problem, issue, or concern. Everyone was super pumped about the product they represent, and it shows. They also made me feel part of the Tesla family, however, not in the cliche way that one normally hears when they drive off the lot with a car the salesman is glad to get rid of. Face-to-face, the folks are pleasant and helpful. However just try to get them on the phone! You will have a better chance sighting Bigfoot than getting a human being. The phone trees invariably shoot you into voicemail, and then they don't return your calls. When I had my car in for service, I called multiple times for updates, and no call-backs. Often the mailbox is full, so you can't even leave a message. I had to physically drive to Tesla to get information. While there, the service guy said "haven't you been getting our texts?", to which I replied, "you mean to my home land-line phone?" They rely to a fault on technology. "Use the app to schedule". Well, the app wouldn't accept my home address, so I couldn't proceed. "Use the chat function on Tesla.com". The first few times it greyed-out (no one available?) When I did get through, I waited 10 minutes for someone (likely a bot) to initiate the chat. After ten minutes of messaging, "Stephanie" advised I call the service department at my local Tesla! What do you think I've been trying to do, Stephanie?! Hello ! Sometimes an actual human is required, Tesla. Please step up your customer service to match the quality of the cars.
