We found Bridgemill through our vet, Harmony Animal Hospital, a few years ago. Initially we were…read morehappy with the cut on our golden retriever and went back several times. However probably in the last 12-14 months they can't seem to keep groomers. What this has meant is appointments are hard to get, sometimes the earliest being 3-4 months out. We have been requesting the same style cut on our golden the last 5-6 times but recently the quality in cut has decreased and our most recent visit they barely did a cut at all yet still charged us over $100 and kept him for 4 hours. It was not the cut we requested and instead of being apologetic, they more or less shrugged and said the groomer was new and would do better next time. The only concession we got was they would move his cut up and would get him in earlier to cut his hair correctly. That was back in April/May. Our appointment was set for early July but we couldn't remember the exact date so my wife called and was shockingly told that our appointment didn't exist anymore because another groomer quit. There was no attempt by Bridgemill to notify us of this change. The customer experience has been nothing but poor since 2023 and we will be taking our business elsewhere to find more consistent grooming. I don't know what's going on with this place that all their groomers keep quitting but it has ended up meaning a serious decline in service and consistency yet their prices keep rising or staying the same.

With what my puppy and I call going to the "beauty shop," Bridgemill Pet's "beauty shop" did a wonderful job and once again my 11+ year old Scotty "Daisy" looked marvelous! (She's beautiful anyway and her daddy tells her that all the time). So I highly recommend Bridgemill Pets and they're more than just a grooming shop, they are well stocked with high quality pet food and supplies. Not to knock Pet Smart or other such retailers, here you have caring people ant the atmosphere is very friendly.

Firstly when we walked in Lauren came around to meet Georgia and took the time to let her smell her and she talked to her . Once Georgia was more comfortable with Lauren she slipped the lead around her neck. I had to walk towards the door for Georgia to go BUT as soon as she went through the door , Lauren had complete control . I usually ask for 2 people because of her weight and her fear but Lauren was confident and asked me if she could try herself. I was fine with that because my baby seemed relaxed and comfortable with her . I walked outside the building to make it easier for my baby and me . When I walked back in Georgia was behind the counter with Lauren and when Georgia saw me she put her paws up on the counter. She looked adorable relaxed and happy (and like she worked there LOL ) Not even my vet can trim her nails so it's a blessing that pet play place is there to do it . They have qualified , compassionate and amazing people for me to trust my dog with . I highly recommend them . But always be upfront and give them any info that will help them take care of your dog better.( like me telling them Georgia's fear of nail cuts and strangers) Thank you Lauren for being so amazing with my baby . WARNING: If you boarded your fur baby during the dates of June 9, 2022-June 12, 2022, please know…read moreyour dog has been exposed to KENNEL COUGH. As 2 of my 3 caught it at the facility. Please keep an eye on your fur babies and if they start coughing or have diarrhea, take them to the vet to get them checked! I picked up my 3 dogs yesterday and 2 of them have KENNEL COUGH!!! To say I'm upset is an understatement. I was in contact with the lady that runs the facility. She told me yesterday morning that my dog, Togo had a one short 2 cough spell but that it wasn't hindering him. I became concerned at that point. I know I am not a vet BUT I am a groomer and I have worked at a vets office before, so I do know some things. I picked the dogs up and the coughing got worse! Well to top things off my dog, Spirit started coughing. The owner wanted me to keep her informed, so I did let her know that Spirit started coughing. Then to top that off, I had to groom ALL 3 of my dogs when I got home. Now I know they are going to stink or be dirty when staying at a boarding facility BUT when my dog, Monty had dried dog poop all over his belly, that is unacceptable! They were absolutely filthy and smelled so bad! When this was mentioned to the owner (I have the messages,) all she had to say was, I'm sure that is from when Spirit had loose stool in the run. Um.....did you not clean the run? And why would not rinse off my dog? I'm not asking for a full blown bath but you could at least rinse him off! I also would like for y'all to know that even though I was notified about the one short 2 cough spell, when I picked up, my dogs where still in the same run. They had not be quarantined from other dogs in the same area as they were. I sure hope those who had dogs staying there were notified that their dogs had been exposed to not one but two dogs with kennel cough, as this is HIGHLY contagious. I even said that to the owner. I have all the messages. I want to also say that she seems to be so nonchalant about it. She has not even offered to pay for the vet bill and still charged me for boarding. Well with the timeline the way that is of when the coughing started, one of two things happened: 1. There was already a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to quarantine, notify incoming boarders and failed to properly clean/sanitize. 2. There HAD been a dog there with kennel cough and they failed to properly clean/sanitize. Either way my dogs are now very sick and refuse to eat and drink water and they did catch this virus at the boarding facility! Please DO NOT EVER USE THIS BOARDING FACILITY. I will be making sure to ask any future boarding facilities for their general cleaning procedures, to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. **Anyone is more than welcome to contact me and I am more than happy to send videos, pictures, etc.**
