Pet Play Place Grooming did amazing with my 80 lb baby who was there for a nail trim and hates them . Firstly when we walked in Lauren came around to meet Georgia and took the time to let her smell her and she talked to her . Once Georgia was more comfortable with Lauren she slipped the lead around her neck. I had to walk towards the door for Georgia to go BUT as soon as she went through the door , Lauren had complete control . I usually ask for 2 people because of her weight and her fear but Lauren was confident and asked me if she could try herself. I was fine with that because my baby seemed relaxed and comfortable with her . I walked outside the building to make it easier for my baby and me . When I walked back in Georgia was behind the counter with Lauren and when Georgia saw me she put her paws up on the counter. She looked adorable relaxed and happy (and like she worked there LOL ) Not even my vet can trim her nails so it's a blessing that pet play place is there to do it . They have qualified , compassionate and amazing people for me to trust my dog with . I highly recommend them . But always be upfront and give them any info that will help them take care of your dog better.( like me telling them Georgia's fear of nail cuts and strangers) Thank you Lauren for being so amazing with my baby . We have been dropping off our two dogs at Pet Play Place - Canton, Georgia, for seven months -- since moving to Canton in December, 2024. Our dogs (and we) are always welcomed with big smiles when we walk through the door at absolutely any time of the morning ~ whether it is 6:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. It is clear that my dogs enjoy all of their time there, as when they jump out of the car and see where we are, their tails go up and wagging begins right away. My boy just freshly turned 5 months... and though he doesnt verbally talk.. his body language and mood said it all... he had a BLAST at Pet Play place! Everyone was so welcoming to him and I loved the report card they sent me after his temperament test saying that he did AMAZING! The staff is friendly and welcoming.. the environment is clean (and it smells great which is a plus.. get a bunch of dogs together.. and you never know WHAT smells will come out of there!) I feel so comfortable leaving him there! I wanted to send him some place once or twice a week so that he can socialize.. and make friends... I think we have found his fur-ever boarding and daycare place :) I told all the puppy parents in my community about PPP and their grooming is AWESOME as well! I wrote a review on the grooming.. I brought my dog here when he was 7 months old to socialize him. First day they told me they keep an eye on the new puppies. When I picked him up, got home to find he was covered in welts and scratches and was terrified. I called to find out what happened and they said something to the effect of "well we can't keep an eye on all dogs" and "this is what dogs do". Really?! 6 months old!! I had my little dog Bella there over thanksgiving, and she was sheduled to have pictures with santa. I paid for this and scheduled it. Upon pickup i asked about pictures, and workers informed me it would be a few days before receiving them. Long story short, i never got pix, and they were never taken, even tho we paid for them. Our puppy actually obeys commands now and can be walked without trying to rip my arm off from pulling so hard on her leash. Not a place to socialize a puppy for the first few times. I learned the hard way and with the pandemic I felt like this was my closest option for socializing. They put my pup in with a few dogs at first for 5-10 minutes and then with 15 dogs. I called an hour after dropping her off and they said she was doing great. When I picked her up later, they gave me a folder with a picture they took of her in the play yard and she looked absolutely terrified. They did not ease her into socializing enough and I would've appreciated a call instead of scaring her. The Canine ranch puppy social class is the only way to ease a dog into socialization. read more

Another fun afternoon for Lucy. She loves having other little friends to play with. She said to make sure I give PPP 5 stars!

At first thought this place was friendly and less overwhelming for my dog. Boarded her for 5 days to come back to see another dogs boarding direction form in my dogs bag with her feedings, snacks, treats, etc. I addressed the concern and the girl at the front desk said she just grabbed the wrong form for check out. But as soon as I brought her home diarrhea, vomiting, would not eat had to take her to the vet spent $400+ to find she developed pancreatitis due to eating food her body did not like (aka-the wrong food because they put another dogs form in her bag and fed her dog food to another pup) Unacceptable. I will never take her back and do not recommend anyone trust this place and staff with your dog. read more

We love the Pet Play Place! The staff are so friendly and gracious, and most importantly, they seem to love our little Bucky as much as we do. Bucky is always very excited to go to their doggy daycare and really benefits from the socialization time with other puppies. And he comes home exhausted, which is great for us. Prices are very reasonable and competitive. Our only negative comment is that we wish they were open on Sundays. We would love to be able to use them for weekend boarding when we take our little weekend getaways. read more

At 2:48 pm I called to see when my dog would be done ( dropped her off at 11am). Was told 15 minutes but stay in car until they called me to come in. Arrived 20 minutes later and waited for call. 4:00pm I finally got tired of waiting and called again,, got voice-mail. Waited 10 more minutes and called again, got voice mail. I went in and staff said they called me. Never got a call. Its not the first time my poor baby has been there over 5 hours. I was in the parking lot 1 hour and 10 minutes. I'll be looking for another grooming facility if this happens again. read more

I will never board my dog here again. I received a phone call mid week saying my dog had run out of food. I had measured out his food and placed each days food in labeled bags. Some one fed my dog a bag each feeding. It was supposed to be halved and each bag was clearly labeled with the day it was to be fed. Then two days later we get a call telling us that our dog had thrown up every day and now had diarrhea. He also had not drank any water. They told us that we needed to come and get him. It's 2 o'clock in the afternoon and we are a 6 to 7 hour drive away! I had to get my brother to come and get him. Pet Play Place never even called to check on our dog. Don't leave your dog there! read more
