Great place to get Chinese food, never disappointed. Does not take long to get a dinner for one. On short notice.

Best Chinese food I've ever had. Not greasy. It's a New Year's Eve staple for our family every year!

Hands down the best Gongbao/ Kungpao chicken the York region!…read more I ordered twice with uber eats and couldn't resist visiting the third time in person. Upon visiting I was a bit disappointed that they don't have dine-in service. Only take-out. But nevertheless, the people at the counter are kind and quick. My order arrived within minutes! Just to keep in mind, visiting the store is a bit cheaper (20%) than Uber eats. So if you're close by, don't forget to get their Gongbao chicken! I'm yet to try other delicacies from this store. Don't mind the store for its looks, it has no dine-in facility, just a few chairs and two tables but the food is yum!

Small town Chinese restaurants aren't the most promising food places, but this place was…read moresurprisingly good. Got "A little bit of everything". It was fantastic value especially for those who like variety, it came with an egg roll, teriyaki beef, wontons, breaded shrimp, chicken chop suey, sweet & sour chicken balls, spare ribs & chicken fried rice. Also added a spring roll. "A little bit of everything" was a lot of food. The rice had a good wok flavour & the chop suey was pretty tasty too. There was quite a bit of chicken in both. The teriyaki beef was so-so. The rest of the items were battered & deep fried (even the spare ribs) & were ok; the sweet & sour sauce was the usual sweet goo. The outside of the egg roll broke & the inside was so-so. For the spring roll I chose pork (there's vegetable too). It was stuffed with 99% minced pork & had a simple soy sauce based flavour. It was pretty good.

When picking up our food, service was friendly and they even gave us a free dessert. We tried the following... Chicken Fried Rice, Soft Noodles with Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Hot and Spicy Shredded Beef and General Tso's Chicken. We did take out, but they do have some seating if you want to dine in. When we brought the food home, I forgot to take the pictures until after the two of us grabbed our food. If you look at the photos, you can see how much food is still left after two full portions were dispensed. By far the best Chinese food I've been able to find in this area. Will be going back...

This is the BEST Chinese food I have ever had!!! I'm 54 years old and I'd almost given up eating…read moreChinese food until I ate here, now it's the only place I order/eat it from. I tell everyone about it and they all agree how good it is once they have it! Each food has it's own taste! It's not too salty! The rice is moist and tastes like rice, and you can taste the chicken or beef etc rather than it all tasting the same. The chicken balls seem small but that is becasue they are not totally caked in breading and the breading that is on them is crispy delicious and not greasy at all. You get pretty much an equal portion of breading to chicken so you are not so full of breading and you're able to enjoy more of their other great dishes. Their food is not greasy at all. The garlic shrimp is delicious (I am a spice wuss and it has a bit of a bite to it, but I still eat it because it is so good). I've ventured into different dishes with this food because all of their food is so good! They are fast and hot with takeout! I recommend Yang Chow without hesitation, and thank them for giving me variety and a healthier alternative to other takeout or fast food!!!

The TV keeps playing videos of Singapore but they have almost no Singaporean dishes on the menu &…read moreI've been burnt by Hainanese chicken rice here too many times, so I decided not to try my luck. They get 3.5 stars. Crispy vegetarian goose roll was decent & not drenched in sauce like at other places here so it was slightly crispy on the outside though the inside wasn't. Fried Rice Noodle with bbq pork (they were out of normal pork): scrambled egg sauce was unusually eggy. There was a nice smoky flavour & the noodles were slightly fried. The toppings were simple with only egg, pork & green onion. Egg bean curd and gluten in sa cha sauce on sizzling hot plate was not on a sizzling plate. It tasted decent with a very slight off-spicy flavour from the shacha sauce. I didn't notice any gluten. There was pineapple, red pepper, green pepper & shallots in the sauce. The interior of the tofu was pretty smooth but the exterior was quite rough. Complimentary red bean soup dessert was decent.

First time did a takeout of combo sets. Food was decent but potion on the small side…read more Second time which was about 2-3 weeks later also did a take out of combo sets. They slightly increased the price and changed the menu for the combo sets which is fine in this inflationary environment however did anyone also notice that they exclude the rice from the combo sets too? I made a take out order of the combo set and went in to pick up (which they were late and it's not even half full in the restaurant on a Sat night). After paying, I waited for my order. And when the order was almost ready, suddenly a staff told me, rice is no longer included in the combo sets, and asked if I want to order rice. I was like wtf I have never heard of Chinese combo sets that exclude rice and more importantly shouldn't they ask me earlier if I want to pay extra for the rice when I placed my order? So while the food here isn't bad with quite a lot of different options, such experience made me wonder how honest they are when they run this restaurant. Probably wouldn't go again. On the food itself: - salt and pepper deep fried fish was on the combo sets before but not anymore and that's the dish I liked the first time. Flaky bite size fish fillet that can satisfy your desire for deep fried food. - gai lan satay beef. No satay taste at all. - sweet and sour pork, pretty good with fresh pineapple and not too too thick batter. - curry, like the taste of it, and the beef brisket was tender but prefer some more other veggies such as bell peppers and carrots. - bitter melon with pork ribs. Bitter melon too thick so it's slightly on the bitter side. - beef with mushroom and onions. Not enough wok hey.
