I was long quite afraid for any dental professional, to be honest. Eventually I made the decision to go to Dr. Chen at Chen Prosthodontics. And what a great decision it has been! I always look forward to any dental care appointments I have now, since Dr. Chen is one of the most patient and gentle medical professionals I have ever come across, period! Any necessary dental work is always painless and without any stress. I put off having my teeth crowned until they were looking pretty bad, but Dr. Chen convinced me that it was necessary and ultimately put me at ease about the entire procedure. It was over before I knew it! Dr. Chen never grows tired of my questions and always takes his time to explain everything he does and everything I want to know - which I find a trait you do not come across a lot these days in dental care. I heard this clinic from my child dentist. I was looking for dentist to do implant because it is large invest, I want to find specialist to do it. My kids dentist told me if he ever needs to do crown, Dr Chen is the Dentist he trusted most. He knows Chen when he was graduate student in University of Washington. This Clinic is run by Dr Chen and his wife Dr Kanako Nagatomo. My implant was successful operated by Dr Nagatomo and Dr Chen helped me with crown. They use high quality implant materiel from Switzerland instead of product from Korea or US which is more common in implant process. Dr Chen told me good implant and ok implant difference will show up after few years, so he wants to make sure his patients got the most valuable product. Dr chen also is an associate professor in UW and part time work in this clinic. I cannot speak highly enough of Chen Periodontics, Dr. Chen, and his staff. I will admit, I am not fond of having dental work done (who is?), but this office is so different from any other experience I've ever had. The entire office was compassionate, incredibly understanding, and Dr. Chen clearly knows her field. I've left 3 reviews in my life online for outstanding organizations. If you would have suggested I would leave one related to a dental procedure, I would have doubted it - that was before I went to see Dr. Chen. I must say Chen Prosthodontics its worth my time on writing this review. Staff was amazing and sweet and so welcoming. Dr. Chen everything thoroughly, which is a big plus for me. It does not matter what kink of issue of your teeth, Dr. Chen know exactly what issue you may have and what has been done. Dr. Chen pay attention to the littlest detail and take very good care of his patients. I usually avoided dentist but my experience there i have no problem on going back again. Dr. Chen has done extensive crowns and other procedures for me and I have found all of his work to be exceptional. He is very thorough and has the education and experience to do quality work. He is very conscientious in evaluating any concerns or problems I have with my teeth. Dr. Chen is personable and always attentive to any discomfort I may have during a procedure. Dr. Chen is the best!! I was Dr. Chen's patient long time ago. Since moving to the east coast, I couldn't find a dentist that I trust 100% in my nearby area. A sensitive tooth has concerned me for a while. While other dentist warned me a root canal is necessary on that, I decided to fly to Seattle to have Dr. Chen take a second look. He quickly replaced the damaged filling without hurting the nerve, and saved my tooth from getting a root canal!! Dr. Chen is a patient and knowledgeable dentist. In additon,he unweariedly explained me the use of zirconia crown, which can shape my teeth as crystal-clear glass, not only color and transparent. In the tooth bridge or implant crown teeth can be used. Dentures are no longer just pure occlusal function, or only as true as the effect of beautiful teeth.
