My wife (fighting dementia and Alzheimer's) had a 9:10 am appointment this morning for a routine…read morecheck-up and cleaning (every 6 months).  We arrived 10 minutes early.  They informed us that they were digitizing all their records, gave me an iPad, and asked me to fill out all the information on the iPad.  It took 20-30 minutes (had to look up all meds, doctors, phone numbers, other medical issues for my wife)..  When I took the iPad back up to the receptionist, she informed me that the hygienist could not see my wife today since it was after 9:10.  She informed me that the hygienist wouldn't have been able to see my wife until my wife's information had all been digitized.  Unfortunately, she hadn't informed me of this when we initially checked in and followed her instructions for inputing detail into the iPad.  So, my wife's appointment for an exam and cleaning resulted in NO exam and NO cleaning BUT BrightNow's records are now updated/digitized. Apparently, someone was supposed to call us and tell us of the need for digitizing their data and to please come in early.  No one had.  We received reminders via email and text of the appointment but no mention was made of their digitizing requirement.  Our only choice was to reschedule (first appointment was not until December).  Apologies were made, but they would not be able to do the exam and cleaning today.   Someone(s) in Bright Now really made a mistake and, unfortunately, we the customer had to pay for it by having my wife's next exam/cleaning rescheduled more than two months into the future (and wasting a trip to the office).  I was really surprised since our relationship with this Bright Now office had been very good.  Up to today, we have been very  pleased with their service.  Unfortunately, because of today's experience, we are looking to find another dental office.

The dentist, Dr. Bello, was professional, but my experience with the hygienist, Kelly, was extremely negative. At that time, I had just moved to the United States, did not speak English well, and naturally relied on my husband to communicate. Instead of showing understanding, Kelly made remarks suggesting that I was like a child depending on my husband. I found this deeply mocking and humiliating. During the cleaning, she smiled while inflicting pain on me, and it felt cruel and deliberate. As an Asian immigrant who couldn't speak English then, I felt that she treated me differently in a way she would not have treated other patients. That made the experience even more painful and isolating. I cannot confirm whether Kelly is still working there, but that experience left me with lasting trauma and a deep mistrust toward dental hygienists in America. In my opinion, no patient should ever be made to feel ridiculed or discriminated against because of language or cultural background.

He is very gentle and professional. On my first visit, I had terrible plaques built up for years. Dr. Krumly did an excellent job deep-cleaning it without any derogatory comments. He is experienced and efficient and always explains procedures well with great patience. He also offers exceptional accessibility, over the phone and in person, and a very flexible appointment schedule. His dental assistant is also friendly and welcoming. I first started seeing Dr. Markeson after I moved to Seattle from AZ, where I had a dentist who tried to give me 4 crowns (got a 2nd opinion in AZ). In my youth I also had sort of negative dentist experiences causing me to avoid the dentist if possible. Dr. Markeson took the time to explain procedures (he recommended fixing my old fillings by replacing them with new fillings) and definitely took the time to let me ask questions and address any concerns. I visited his office regularly for dental cleanings and also Invisalign. I actually tried to continue coming to the office once I got married and moved to Tacoma, but alas! My dental insurance changed and it seemed like a big effort to make it the distance with a small child at home. I recently visited Dr Markeson for a cleaning again. There was a small mixup where I thought my insurance could work, but it didn't. I paid out of pocket for my dental cleaning and got to ask Dr Markeson some questions about dental procedures that a dentist in Tacoma was recommending. I felt a lot more informed when I left. Also I brought my small kiddo to hang out and use an iPad while I had my appt, no issues! My dental cleaning and x rays were thorough and easy, no issues.

Dr. Tracy's wife is his assistant, does bookings, and insurance filing. She is highly unprofessional, giving calls over weekends to resolve issues and I am concern about how she handles confidential personal information. She also is rude and blames the patients for issues, complaining that she doesn't have time to follow up and work on things. She says billing insurance is a common curtesy they do that other dentists don't offer. But she is incapable of resolving insurance issues on her own. They should really hire employees that are for a specific role instead of cutting costs and having the wife poorly do tasks.

I have serious anxiety when it comes to dental work, but Dr. Collic was exceptionally gentle and kind throughout the procedure. I didn't even need nitrous the second time! I wish I could go to him for all of my dental care. I also saw him another time when he couldn't save my tooth due to cracks in the root, and he referred me to a great oral surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Collic to anyone who needs a highly skilled, compassionate endodontist.
