The Tacos were plain not juicy at all. I also had the burrito, the burrito was not bad but the not the best burrito I've had in my opinion the Best part of the burrito was the wrap. But the service was amazing the waitresses were really nice, to be honest that was the only good part about the restaurant. Best chips in town! Thick, flavorful, crispy. Huevos Rancheros can't be beat. Everything else is somewhere between very good and excellent. I wish they didn't have that loud, annoying Karaoke singer in the evenings, though. I never go there anytime after mid-afternooon for that reason. read more

I live in Humboldt so there are plenty of great options in the area such as El Patron or Tacqueria el Chignon but I'd put Chema's on the list of top 5 local Taco Joints for a variety of reasons. Attention to food quality, authenticity, service and portions being the main ones. read more

The tacos are a little pricey at $2.50 for the location, but I really liked the authenticity of the tacos! I ordered al pastor and carne asada tacos. The al pastor actually had pineapples in the taco! I don't encounter many restaurants that add them in. If you dine-in you even get the free chips and salsa. The horchata was good, but made from a powder mix, so beware. I happened to go late at night on a weekend, so they had live karaoke with spanish band music. read more

I used to like this place. One night I ordered Chilaquiles con steak. I ordered tacos too. So didn't notice the steak was missing until morning. Neither Uber eats or the restaurant would help. They kept telling me the manager wasn't there. Then I noticed it wouldn't go through. I called from another number and learned that they'd blocked me. Terrible experience. Uber says to call them, they say to call Uber, and at the end of the day I get to pay 20 plus for nacho chips and an egg. Please don't go here. They need to learn to own their mistakes. All they needed to do was ask the person who worked. So they don't deserve customer loyalty! read more

Ordered through Grubhub at 8:45pm delivery was set for 9:55-10:05pm. Not a call or delivery or anything. I got charged plus tipped $5 and the $4 delivery charges. After speaking with Grubhub they tell me that the restaurant is registered with Grubhub but handle their own deliveries. Now I have to wait a week before the money gets credited back to my account and had to figure out another order for dinner requiring me to spend more money that I can't spare right now. I ordered take out and it was done relatively quickly however it was pricey. Taco dinner, Gordita , two tacos and an orchata was $27. The carne Asada was chopped small and was dried out. I really feel bad for doing this. They're a brand new place, looked all bright and clean as we drove by...then ordered from GrubHub the next day. Again, I feel bad for saying but the food was awful. It didn't smell good, it didn't look good, and it didn't taste good at all. We were really hoping it'd be great since it's so close. But no, sadly, it was not. I ordered a pastor taco and a barbacoa taco, sans cilantro (ack, soap!), on flour tortillas, please add cheese and lettuce. Sadly they arrived coated in cilantro, no cheese nor lettuce but on flour. Once I picked most of the offending green off, I tasted the meat from both and I just, nope, could not eat them. The meats tasted weird and old. Worse was a long wide strap of sproingy fat in the barbacoa. I couldn't. Threw them out. My sweetheart ordered a carne asada burrito. At first he said eh, then said it wasn't good, then it progressed to not good at all, then to it's gross, then not even halfway through eating it, into the trash it went. Sigh. I'd give them one star but felt that was terribly harsh. Unfortunately we won't be ordering from here again. read more

This place always hits the spot when you are craving something delicious. The servers are very nice they are always so sweet to my kids. They have a fairly stocked bar considering the small space. Wish the bathroom was more spacious but that's not a huge downside unless I need to change a diaper. I wish their chicken nuggets were chicken tenders instead because they are nuggets from a bag, but again not a big problem i don't go there for kids meals I usually will pick up a slice of pizza or McDonald's for my son.
