The wife and I was super hungry and decided to check this place out as we passed by this place a few days ago and our curiosity got the better of us. Both of us enjoy a good sandwich and this place has those in spades. I ordered the DRDK (half) which comes with turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, mayo, tomatoes, and avacado spread on toasted sourdough. The sandwich was made with love!!!! I know it! This spot looks like it's ran by all women (another thing that caught my eye and made my lunch even better) that's empowering and I love that. The taco soup was super fresh and the ingredients were super choice! Nice dining room environment overall (what's to expect from a deli downtown) over all 5/5 would definitely come back and most definitely will recommend to family and friends. I find the sandwiches there to be consistent but nothing special. Don't get me wrong, when you're hungry It's a nice place to stop in for a sandwich but nothing you couldn't do at home. The service is always good and the ladies that work there are very nice and I like to support our local businesses so I'll continue to stop in from time to time. read more

Love this place. The sandwich's are made well with fresh ingredients. The buns are always fresh. The environment over all is quite nice. These ladies run a tight ship. Clean tables, not tacky crap on the walls, you can see where your sandwich is being made and by who. No annoying teenager music being played. And they got sprouts. read more

Despite my lower ratting I enjoy the sandwiches. The sandwiches can be served with somewhat too much mayonnaise even with that tasty. The sandwich are heated and bring out a interesting taste that is rather delightful. Definitely recommend a sandwich from them. Now on to the fact I have the low rating is due to the fact they are never open it seams. I feel like at 2 pm on a weekday it should be open. And I would enjoy a different brand of chip to go with the delicious sandwich. The deli is clean and the same it has been since I have been a kid 20 years ago. The service is nothing special the ladies are nice I bet if I was a regular customer I wouldn't be disappointed but ever time I try to get a sandwich it's closed. This sandwich shop in downtown Chehalis is a decent, if not pedestrian, lunch stop. I stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday as it is one of the few local joints open on the weekends for lunch(what is up with that). I got an italian sandwich, a "whole" one, which is actually more like two whole hoagie sandwiches. Value wise, some people might think this is a good deal but the hoagies are almost all bread, and the bread is a pretty average store bought kind. Actually most of the toppings on them, seem like they came out of bags instead of freshly sliced. Definitely had that cafeteria quality. Service was very nice and all the ladies working there were smiling and I got my food pretty quick as well. I really wanted to love this place as there isn't many options for a good sub in the area without traveling to Olympia but the search continues. read more

It had been years since I've been able to stop in for some food. The taco soup used to be divine.....meaty, hearty, and filling. There is now basically no meat in it. They should rename it bean and corn soup. For $30, I got a sandwich, plus another half, and a bowl of soup. The sandwich only had a single slice of meat and single slice of cheese. Online website shows wrong times they are open. Their website also says 48 hours notice for 1 gallon of potato salad. I tried to order 1/2 gallon potato salad and was told they needed three days. That was not mentioned at all on the website read more

Year after year this place NEVER dissapoints. You will spend more than subway lol but your food is so fresh and so yummy. The Bearcat is bomb! We also have them deliver to our staff meetings sometimes and that is an excellent option for this area. Great portions everyone is always happy with their service and quality! read more

Chehalis Deli has always been there for me! I remember going there for lunch when I lived and worked in that area. The "Bearcat" is my favorite sandwich ever and I was so delighted to have it once again. It has been a long stint without it because I was a vegetarian for 7 years. They are pretty fast in terms of service and very friendly. The meat they use there is really good quality. There is no better place to get a sandwich in that area. The only thing they could improve upon is the bread. It doesn't hold up well to oil or vinegar. I was going to post a picture of the sandwich but it had been too long since I've last eaten one and I couldn't bring myself to wait any longer. read more

This place was highly recommended by an electrician that was doing some work for me. "Good service and sandwiches that are almost too large to eat". I arrived around 11:15 am, the place was already busy. I waited in line to place my order; the young lady at the counter was helpful, friendly and it didn't take long for me to see that she was pulling double duty. My order wasn't complicated, a simple off the menu bowl of taco soup, and a veggie sandwich. Soup was brought out to me immediately (by the same young lady who was taking orders and managing the register), the sandwich "would be right out". Twenty minutes later the sandwich arrived. It was nothing special and definitely not worth the wait or expense. I expected a good taco soup but it was watery, lacking seasoning and substance...The sandwich made me wish I had stopped at the local Subway (and I'm not a fan of Subway). This place is called a deli but there is nothing about it that qualifies it as a deli. The only reason I'm giving the place 2 stars is because of the young lady working her butt off. The rest of the staff could learn a few things from her. read more

I really wanted to love this place. We recently moved to Washington and have been slowly finding our way around. I really wanted a deli we could love. (We really like Berryfields in Centralia, but I wanted somewhere I could run in and order and take it with me easily.) The lady was friendly enough. She suggested a favorite. My son wanted a hot pretzel. I guess when I hear deli, I think fresh breads. Not the case. When I think hot sandwich, I think toasted. It was microwaved. The meat was good, veggies seemed fresh. It was just underwhelming, and the price was definitely deli price. Spent $18 on two half subs and a hot pretzel. Not completely terrible.... just not really deli standard. We are not from the Chehalis area but we had a family reunion that was being held there and I was responsible for a simple lunch being catered. Such a huge responsibility!! You know how people are when they don't have a decent meal and are stuck in a room together the full day! As it turned out lunch (which they delivered to the hotel for a small charge) was wonderful. We ordered sandwiches (which came with chips, cookies and a drink) and salads. The sandwiches were super fresh and tasty. The salads were so yummy too...large, fresh and gorgeous looking! One of our family members was having a birthday so we also ordered cupcakes and they turned out great as well. Each person I spoke with at the Deli was super nice and the customer service was absolutely spot on! Thanks Chehalis Deli for helping make our reunion lunch an enjoyable one! read more

Good solid food, potato salad is out of this world so are the soups, try the Taco. Wish the bread on the Bearcat was better.
