That was until Helen started talking about bacon, and her desperate need for it, oh and she also wanted orange juice. At this point I suggested that we go to the shop, she moaned weakly - a bit like an unhappy bird cry. I knew at the point I was going to have to find her a proper fry-up and soon. So off we trotted to find some bad ass fry-up action near my new abode. That was when we stubled upon the delights of Leo. Now I'm not sure if this is a friend of the other greasy spoons Leo's I have been to but it was pretty damn good. The ketchup was vingerery, the bacon greasy (Helen's not mine) and the service was amazingly surly. Just what I like from a top notch greasy spoon. It doesn't pretend to be anything it's not, juts a really extensive menu, starting from £2.50 for scrambled eggs on toast and a great space for you to hang your head in shame and chat about the night before. Leo, you're a top fella!

There were forgotten items on our breakfast and again the waitress apologised she bought over the items over but had to ask three times for toast and that came halfway through eating. The so called waitress said she'd alter the bill but didn't when we payed so they gave us two cans of coke. The waitress seemed apologetic but clearly wasn't!!! They had Deliveroo orders to take and a full cafe to attend to and as two other customers entered they saw the place was busy they went to leave, the chef/cook went out after them and bought them back in to seat them up front, however this chef/cook was wearing gloves at the time he touched the door handle and went straight back into the kitchen area I think that's disgusting. We won't be returning ever!!! Very unprofessional

You can get a box packed with just salads or a mix of salads and hot dishes. However, the staff packs it for you so it's a bit hard to specify exactly how much you want of each. Everything is put together in the same box so things also get mixed together. This normally wouldn't be a big deal but I feel like the hot items should be separated from the salads. Like I don't want a lasagna on my kale salad. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious and fresh, it was just hard for me to get over the mess of having everything lumped together in one box. They have quite a few beautiful baked goods and quiches as well. Based on how the food I tried was, I would absolutely give it another try. I think I just need to order differently/in such a way where I can ask for more separation between hot and cold items.

Woodbridge Cafe is a neighbourhood breakfast and lunch diner that seems to be well-established in…read morethe community. I had breakfast on a few weekdays and the weekend, first ordering the breakfast specials (bacon, sausage, eggs), and gradually selecting smaller combinations to reduce the quantity of food to start the day! Every breakfast was cooked to order freshly, and was served piping hot within a few minutes. Having chips for breakfast somehow seems wrong, so I ordered and enjoyed the sauteed potatoes (and skipped toast, as loading on too many starches). The layout has a series of long tables with chairs, and a few seats at the window to look out onto the street. The clientele included a lot of workmen. Some ordered breakfast to be eaten right away, and then a sandwich as takeout, presumably for lunch. The posters of winners and losers for competitive eating -- the Mega Breakfast, and Burger Challenge -- were entertaining. They also reflect the good humour of the staff, continuously circling amongst the mostly quiet customers. I was staying at the Acacia Villas across the street, and stopped by on a few mornings on the way to the university. This place starts early in the day, and was closed by the late afternoons on my return.

BEST BREAKFAST IN GUILDFORD…read more (probably not for vegetarians) As a member of the building community I have been known to spend a rainy morning in the Woodbridge Cafe. What I love here is the good old fashioned 'greasy spoon' workers cafe atmosphere (not that it's greasy but you get my point). Drive past on a weekday morning and you will spot a sprawl of illegally parked work vans surrounding the small hut-like cafe. The service is friendly, the tables are clean and the food is delicious. There is a lot on the menu to choose from but I've honestly never given it a second look the only thing I ever go for is the biggest cooked breakfast on offer. Definitely worth a visit no matter what your walk of life also a good place to stop in for a cuppa!

The staff are welcoming and not over bearing allowing you to seat yourself where you please. They have some interesting pictures on the walls which help to pass the time whilst you are waiting for your order. It very much has the feel of a place where all are welcome whether it is just for a quick sandwich or drink to those who are catching up with others or sheltering from the rain outside and even those who have taken up residency to do some work and exploit the free wifi they have available 9just remember to ask for the pass word). All in all without being spectacular this cafe has a good feel to it even if the food isn't the greatest but it is welcoming and staff don't harass you and let you of things at your own pace, so if you are every waiting for that bus which is not coming anytime soon perhaps a visit here might break up the waiting time.
