The staff is always friendly. The hours are kind of short so always check the hours before you go. They're the simple coneys in and out.

Nice atmosphere, members of my group ordered the sirloin, with baked potatoes, and then the KC strip with vegetables, both said their steaks were cooked perfectly and sides were good. I ordered the salmon, which came with scalloped potatoes and a sauce which I opted to have on the side, all tasted good as well.

There is only one correct answer when faced with the dilemma of choosing red or green sauce. Both!…read more Absolutely wonderful spicy New Mexico style Mexican food. I have not had any better in Oklahoma or New Mexico. Here it is, authentic red chili sauce, made with dried chilis; the green sauce, made thick and chunky with fresh tasting peppers. These are the real deal. The name of the restaurant doesn't properly portray Andy's food offerings. "Bar and Grill" limited my expectation to bar food: burgers, fries, wings and fried appetizers. A scan of the menu reveals the capabilities of the cook and the wide variety offered. Brunch to dinner, omelets to pancakes, salads to steaks, and from the bar, beer and mixed drinks. And then there are the New Mexican platters. I spotted the red sauce in the pictures! A Steak Burrito for me with both red and green (Christmas Style) and the pork tamales for my wife also Christmas style. Both with beans, rice, a little salad, and pico de gallo for decoration. Exceptionally delicious meals. The sauces did not disappoint. The tamales were well seasoned perfection. And the nice part you get to have it your way. A bite with red sauce, then a bite with green sauce. No disappointment in any savory spicy bite. Need heat? Ask for salsa picante. It is fierce. The owners are Pedro and Bianca. Bianca, a very pleasant and personable young lady who provided attentive friendly service. She was a pleasure to meet. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It is decorated inside to give a New Mexico ranch house feel. A large outside dining area is available. Andy's Bar and Grill, wonderful food and service. More than just a bar and grill. My top choice for New Mexican style food.

You know when you kind of love a place so much you almost don't want the whole world to find out…read moreabout it? That was this place for me. I had noticed it before when visiting the Christmas Chute, but the reviews were a little mixed so we never gave it a try. Fast forward to this weekend when we got invited to a birthday at the speakeasy upstairs... and I'm so glad we finally went. First of all -- they're doing a great job with the speakeasy concept because I genuinely had no idea it was there. It's upstairs above the restaurant and you need a code word to get in. Since we were already there, we decided to have dinner first and the menu honestly surprised me in the best way. It's very much Southern comfort food, but elevated a bit. The vibe inside is eclectic and interesting. The staff was super friendly, and even on a Saturday night it wasn't overly busy. The new streets in Sapulpa look great now that the construction is finished, but because most of the parking is behind the buildings the street can look like a ghost town even when places are actually busy. Kind of a weird illusion. They start you off with bread and a trio of fresh butters which was unexpected and delicious. The bread itself wasn't anything fancy, but the butter definitely was. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered from the kids menu (which I very much appreciated did not say "12 and under"). I got a grilled cheese and the waitress suggested adding a cup of tomato bisque. Yes please. Both were excellent. My husband ordered the grilled chicken and said it was moist and really good. They also have a full bar and a huge coffee bar, which I thought was a fun touch. Then we headed upstairs to the speakeasy and it's a whole different vibe up there. Very cool space. Also extremely eclectic. Think Tommy Bahama meets world traveler's curio cabinet. There were travel finds from around the world displayed in cases, parrot chandeliers, a baby grand piano, and a cheetah print pool table. It somehow all works. Live music was by Steve Lindell and he was fantastic. Two thumbs up. Bar service was great, just a little slow -- but to be fair I don't think they were expecting a 40-person birthday group to roll in all at once. All in all it was a fantastic night. If it wasn't about 45 minutes from my house, we would probably be regulars. But maybe it's okay if it stays just a little bit of a hidden gem.
