I hate to be THAT person but if I am going to splurge on a takeout meal and that too, a not-so-healthy meal, then I expect it to be fairly decent and not a complete flop. First of all, there was literally no variety to the menu. The different menu items literally consisted of the same fried chicken sandwich only with a different sauce or additional condiments. Nevertheless, I got the Nashville Fire, which had the most variety of sauces/condiments and the only way I could describe it while being honest was that it was a complete mess. The sandwich was completely doused with sauce and resulted in a totally soggy sandwich. The fried chicken itself tasted overcooked, which is literally the one thing you don't want in fried chicken. If someone is desperate for fried chicken then I can maybe understand why they would turn to this truck to satisfy their craving. However, I think there are better places out there such as Starbird (yes, a chain restaurant) to get a decent fried chicken sandwich.

I asked if they could make a fresh one without beans, but they couldn't. I tried them anyway -- they were okay, but nothing special. I don't like "fusion" food; pupusas are delicious just the way they are. For the price and what you get, I don't think they're worth it. For price and flavor, I'd give them a 4/10. If you know pupusas, you know what I mean -- the meat was shredded, not the typical mix. Hopefully Bay FC steps up their pupusa game. Response to pupusa lady Thanks for letting me know. Just to clarify, I meant pre-mix, not pre-made. I was mainly disappointed about the fact that they couldn't make one without beans since everything was already mixed. Bay FC really shouldn't be charging you a fee just for working the game either -- that doesn't seem right. Then passing the higher price to the consumer.I do stand on my 4/10 rating for flavor.

The pupusa's were unusual than any item of food of its similar kind but they were approximately 3 to 4 inches in diameter and with no frills/no extras. Then last night at the Day on the Ridge event in Eagle Ridge, the Papusa Lady's food truck was present and the experience far surpassed my first one. The pupusa was approximately 5 to 6 inches in diameter and was accompanied by a small container of sour cream (enough to smear on the entire pupusa), hot sauce, an amazingly tasting of some type of flavored rice with cilantro, and a delicious (and also unique tasting) coleslaw - all for only $10!! Excellent experience which I'm very thankful for. Kudos to the Pupusa Lady's food truck last night.

Given the short…read moretimeframe and large order size, they delivered everything quickly while serving great quality food. The service was fast, organized and the food was consistently great. If you're looking for a catering food truck for a small lunch window that delivers high quality and very quick service, I HIGHLY recommend Fire and Rice. Their Hawaiian Asian fusion menu is unique and stands out compared to other Asian or poke trucks I've tried. The garlic shoyu chicken and tuna poke were my personal favorites. I tried some of my coworkers garlic shrimp & Miso tofu too...surprisingly pretty GOOD! With inflation being what it is, their food is absolutely worth the price, and they were also flexible and willing to work within our reasonable budget. I can't recommend them enough. For catering inquiries, It was a little difficult getting them on the phone so we played phone tag a lot. I suggest texting or emailing Micah or Jessica for the quickest response, as they're often busy on the truck or during service.

Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

But now there aren't that many chicken places in this town unless it's from one of the fast food chains. But UNTIL the tender spot opened up I've found a new place! I got the Nashville Knock Out and I felt like was going to fully knock afterwards from how full I was. It had rice, mac & cheese, coleslaw, pickles and obviously chicken. I say it's a great place to eat and hangout with your friends because of how chill the place is. All the people who work there are great and super kind! ALSO you got to try their lemonades! May have been one of the better ones I've had in a while and for it to be at a chicken spot, that floored me. Back to the chicken....one of the kids wanted wings and one wanted tenders, so naturally, we ordered both, with a side of fries. Mama ended up sharing with the kids. We ordered them mild, because, kids. Also, we asked for the sauces to come on the side. The mild tenders had a nice kick to them. Luckily my kids can eat a bit of spice otherwise I don't know that they would have eaten the tenders at all. The chicken wings were crispy and delicious. The buffalo sauce on the side was tangy and delicious which mama enjoyed. And did I mention that mama also got to enjoy alllll the pickles? I'm the only one in my family that likes pickles, so I scored on a mini mountain of pickles lol Hubs ordered a combo with a slider and a tender on toast. When there are 2 items like that, you can pick 2 different spice levels, which he gladly did. He chose the 2 top spice levels. we loved the heat. We will probably be back because everyone seemed to enjoy the food and I love supporting a local business
