Where do I even start? Besides our love for supporting good local businesses run by locals in the area, we were blown away by Chef Robert for many reasons. PROS: Very professional , responsive & knowledgeable about different kinds & styles of knives. Very reasonably priced, he arrived ahead of time, got situated in the driveway and sharpened them on the spot. Quick easy and very good service! Chef Robert handled my handmade Japanese knives set like a pro - he was gentle, respectful & taught us things we didn't even know about these knives. I was blown away by his depth of knowledge & his story, and boy was I proud that a proper chef loves my knife babies! CON: My only regret is not getting to meet & say hello to his pup, who travels with him everywhere. We highly recommend this local business, and will continue to use his amazing services.

Chef Robert brought grandpa's Kikuichis back to life! Thank you!!

Chef Robert has sharpened our knives twice. He is detail focused, a good communicator and reasonably priced.

Sharpest knives we've ever used; sharper than when we got them new! Thanks Robert! Great service.

The smith was a total jerk and seemed to not know the term "tsuba," either, even though he was determined to make me feel the idiot. In spite of all this I purchased a shiny axe with a dark oak handle from them, in part because I wanted to support a local business and in part because it seemed balanced and looked nice. It was not cheap. Now one year later I see that the chrome plating now has some black spots that will not rub out, even though it has been sitting in my bedroom the whole time and I have not used it to cut anything. A quick google search finds that: "This problem of black spots which you are facing seems related to base material defect which you might have failed to notice during pre cleaning stage and the same is appearing over a period of time once plating is completed." In summary- this blade smith sucks.

I was called when my package arrived, I had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify work and then given final total to pay. They worked on two knives. A Benchmade pocket knife hard to sharpen and returned with an nice sharpened blade. The second a Henckels chef knife with its blade seriously damaged and it was returned in a fantastic shape! I was called again when package was being mailed back to me. Thanks to Mick and all involved for a great job.

They probably can't eff up the construction equipment line too bad since there isn't a lot of dealer installation work to do...but the field assembly required for the tractor line is different story and, from my experience, is too complicated for the techs at this dealer to handle. The problems consisted of them being unable to get my Swift-tach loader mechanism to function correctly. They had two attempts to do so, but failed to get it working. They took three stabs at getting the tire ballast filled as they should be and delivered the machine without any instruction (which would have flagged the loader issues up front), they installed the canopy incorrectly and failed to address (so I fixed). There are many more items, some nitpicky like they failed to grease three joints on the loader arms to falling to install the rear conical seat wheel nuts with the conical face of the nut engaging the wheel. Pretty much boils down to an unprofessional and under-competent shop...these are things an entry level tech can easily mess up, but a good shop foreman would catch and teach the tech. That is clearly not what happens here - it's evident that they don't care about their work, they just want the sale and to move on. They have been non responsive to me in settling this and refunding some of the money I paid for them to do the install work that they either failed to do or did an incompetent job at requiring me to fix. Further, they did not complete the Kubota required delivery checklist and sign off with me. The purchase was six months ago, I love my B2601, but dealing with this dealership has definitely been a huge black mark on Kubota's reputation with me. Now that I'm six months on, I plan to write to Kubota HQ in Texas to let them know of the ordeal I went through (along with the many other things that Kitsap Kubota effed up). I'm also contemplating filing against them in small claims court to recoup part of the $3,600 I paid for the field install work they failed to execute correctly. The punchline: be wary if you choose to buy here. They talk an okay game, but when the rubber meets the road, your tractor wheels may just fall off...
