This place is amazing! Very welcoming and warm. He was thorough and reasonably priced. He was even able to get the serrated knife sharp! I was able to drop it off, run errands, and pick it up. He had it ready when he said he would. Very reliable and has interesting stories to share. read more

Thank you for sharpening the knives, but 1) it was very inconvenient to miss you when your shop was closed during supposedly open times (no note hung up outside on why or when shop was re-opening later that day), and 2) having a political sign telling customers who to vote for is not appreciated at all. Due to the latter I will be taking my business elsewhere, as there's no need to mix your politics with serving your paying customers. read more

The last of the honest, skilled and professional shop owner. This place is amazing. Amazing I Say!! They were able to take what I thought was wasted steel and convert it back to a lean-mean cutting machine, for various meats. Not only can they sharpen and repair knives. They educate you on the do's and don'ts and the whys through their wisdom and experience. He will be back very soon. read more

I've taken my kitchen knives, as well as some garden tools, here a couple of times for sharpening. It's convenient, fast, and affordable. The result is pretty good, though the blades aren't as sharp as I'd like or expect them to be. I guess you get what you pay for. If convenience is your priority, or you're on a budget, I recommend this place. read more

The sharpest blade I've ever seen !! Such an amazing job sharpening my blade 100 percent recommend!! read more

Very happy to be made aware of this place via one of the neighborhood message boards. I took over a bunch of knives, went back to get them the next day and took him 2 more. About a week later, took in the last of my knives and all of my garden tools that had an edge. Wowza! Everything is not just sharp, but SHARP! I enjoy watching real craftsmen do their work. They make it seems effortless, but of course it looks that way after decades of working at the craft. I'm back to loving my knifes and I hope Lyle has all the work he can handle. Mary read more

Took scissors, some steak knives, and a large bread knife in for sharpening today. These gentleman have decades of knowledge about knives and when I get them back, they are extremely SHARP! (You don't really notice how dull the blades are until after they've been sharpened by this shop!) I highly recommend them for sharpening any knives, as well as gardening tools, like pruners. Plus, they're fast! read more

Wow. I don't think my knives were ever this sharp!! I ended up taking my knives in when I found the place I was originally recommended is closed down recently, and man am I glad I did. Lyle is an extremely nice guy and knows how to restore a knife like nobody else. My knives had certainly seen better days and he made them better than I think they ever were. Sharp doesn't even begin to describe them. Fair prices too. I will definitely be bringing my knives back again and again. read more

I brought in 3 knives and a pair of kitchen scissors for sharpening. I didn't know what to expect. This is a shed with barely enough room to turn around, but Lyle seems at home here. He took one look at my knives, one of which had a nick, and was happy to provide a sharpening service. He showed me why I was having problems using the large chef's knife and honed the handle to make it work right. I picked up the knives the same day. They are scary-sharp, but I won't be crushing any more tomatoes! I'm grateful that he is so very close to home, that I won't have to put up with dull knives, and that he is a very helpful, knowledgeable tradesman. We need more people like him. read more

I brought in five knives. They were done in 25 minutes (three paring knives), and the price was very reasonable. Nice!

Bronk is the man. Couple of years ago, took a bunch of items to be sharpened and he brought all of them back to life. He was able to sharpen an Axe, gardening shears, kitchen knives and scissors back to their original sharpness. The knife cut through loose paper like butter and scissor were sharp again. Bronk got to talking about the type of work he does and he's not only a quality sharpener but he's also a very highly skills craftsman capable of making custom knives and stuff. Super cool guy with good info. Will return to him for my blade sharpening needs again. 5 stars for quality work at a reasonable price read more

Took in my Great-Grandmother's neglected knife that had a broken handle which needed to be replaced. Lyle took the time to explain the materials for fixing it and the costs of each option. We decided on a mango wood handle and drew up an estimate. The work was completed with care and attention to detail, I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Bronk's to anyone wanting help in bringing forgotten blades back to form. read more

I took 3 of my kitchen knives to Bronk's and had a great experience. Not only is Lyle an upstanding, amazing guy to talk to but this guy can friggin sharpen a knife like no ones business! I was washing my knife with a sponge today and it straight up slit my brand new sponge! Oh and he sharpens them fast! I caught him when he wasn't busy so it only took him 20+/- minutes for all 3 :) I wish I didn't push off sharpening my knives month after month, so that I could have seen Bronk's Knife Works when it was at the Country Village :/ Note: His location location is NOT visible from the street. Found this place by accident as I was driving through and I'm glad I did. I stopped by this morning to get my folder sharpened and have the tip repaired. I expected to drop the knife off and come back a few days later. Nope the owner Lyle had it done Ina matter of minutes. When he was done it was the sharpest knife I've ever had sharpened before. Best $5 I've spent in a long time! While looking around his shop I got the opportunity to look at his other work. Lyles love and craftsmanship is top notch. Every blade is one of a kind and very high quality. Finding a great knifesmith is hard to find. I'll be keeping this guy in my phone book. read more

I am so grateful to have found Bronk's. (I have dropped my knives off at kitchen supply stores to get sharpened in the past--so convenient to be without your knives for 1-2 weeks! or run down people who do it out of their home garages...) This place has a storefront, regular business hours so you don't have to call to set up a time, and very reasonable prices. The proprietor is friendly, accommodating, and fast! Customer service is above and beyond. I simply waited 10-15 minutes in my car the two times I've been while he sharpened my knives--much better than a drop off and return trip. My knives are so sharp now! I'm a satisfied and loyal customer. It's tucked away just off Both-Ev Hwy, it's a little tricky to find your first time, but WORTH IT!!! read more

You can't find a more knowledgeable knife maker or sharpener. Lyle knows darn near everything there is to know about knives which is evident in 1) how quickly and accurately he sharpens them, 2) the craftsmanship exhibited in his custom made knives, and 3) the ease at which he performs it all. I took a pair of culinary scissors that had been poorly sharpened, and he returned them to razor sharp in about 10 minutes. They cut like two spoons taped together before, and after he got ahold of them, they helped me cut through Seattle traffic on the way home (all kidding aside) - they are scary sharp. He's the real deal, and if you need something sharpened, this is the guy to see. read more

He did a great job on my ZT knives. Razor sharp and very professionally done. Will be taking more in as soon as I can

Great work. I brought my chef knife in for sharpening and it's like new! It's a small shop that performs fantastic work

I won't take my knives anywhere else! Lyle is a wonderfully charming and knowledgeable professional and he treats each and every knife with the same level of care, regardless if it's a Wusthof or Hamilton Beach. And I should know - I bring him both! The first time I went to him I brought him my "fancy" Wusthof blades, as well as some of my old Hamilton Beach knives from my college years, since I still used them, and I wanted to see how he'd handle them. He ended up thinning the blades slightly on the HB's since they were thicker, and the more narrow bevel on the blade edge has made them more sharp than I ever thought they could be - just as good as my Wusthof blades, too! He wants you to enjoy the work he has done, and has given me some simple tips to maintain the health of the blade. With his instructions I really only need to get my knives sharpened every 9-12 months. Lyle is fast, courteous, and affordable. I can't recommend him enough. read more

Bronk's is awesome. Don't hesitate. Go. Have him sharpen your knives. He's great. You'll keep going back.

Lyle is great! My knives were sharpened quickly and for a reasonable price. He's also just a really nice person to deal with. It's been years since I've had our kitchen knifes sharpened, mostly because I just didn't know where to take them. Lucky for me I just happened to catch Bronk's signage while driving down the Bothell/Everett Hwy so decided to take them in. 6-knifes in under an hour? I couldn't believe it. Lyle was nice enough to share some stories and recommendations on how to keep my blades in top shape until I see him again in about a year. read more

It might be 5 stars because I haven't had sharp knives in a while. The gentleman that works there, I presume the owner, also offers knife making classes on equipment that he made himself. I'm glad to have a small local business around that does this. read more
