At the outset of planning our wedding, we had a strong vision for the event, but lacked a fundamental understanding of how we'd put it together, the flow throughout the night, and the logistics of the more do-it-yourself venues that we were most interested in. Once we met Heather Levine from Naturally Delicious (ND), and started working with her, it became clear that ND were the perfect partners for our event. Heather had years of experience producing events in our venue and others like it and experience producing a variety of types of events. Heather had on-point suggestions for every detail of our event, whether it be food, run-of-show, liquor, rentals, or anything. About two weeks before the event, we faced an unexpected crisis. We don't know what we would have done without Heather generally, but especially during these two weeks. Our bi-weekly emails with Heather turned into multiple calls and texts a day. Alongside no small amount of coaching (bordering on counseling at times), Heather helped us repeatedly communicate with all of our loved ones about the event, and tirelessly worked across our vendors and venue to make many significant, last minute adjustments. Overall, we couldn't recommend Naturally Delicious and Heather Levine more!

We had a handful of platters of hor d'oeuvres and an open bar with two bartenders as well. I really appreciated the lengths our contact, Melissa, went to to make sure the event was successful. Since we were uncertain about our budget until the very last minute, we had so many changes (adding and subtracting platters, including the open bar, etc.) and requests. Melissa very willingly accommodated and worked with our limited budget to provide the best food and service. We were even making changes until a day before the event! The food was set up and delivered an hour and a half before the start of the event, which was a great relief for the event planners and a burden off our shoulders. The lovely bartenders were experienced and worked quickly, so there was hardly ever a line. Clean up was easy and fast, and Naturally Delicious worked with our space limitations to make the process super seamless. The food itself was all cold since we didn't have access to a kitchen to heat it up, so it wasn't as appetizing as some of our guests had hoped. However, I think this was more a result of my menu selection than anything Naturally Delicious did. The catering was a bit on the pricier side, but it's well worth it for the professionalism. If I'm planning catering for a future event, I will definitely turn to Naturally Delicious again!

Bites Bk was my 1st choice, but due to timing I looked elsewhere. Lo and behold I ended up calling Claudine anyway... because my heart and belly wanted some of her cake. She took my call, brainstormed with me and came up with THEE perfect cake! I am normally anti fondant, due to its lack of taste. Claudine assured me taste would not be an issue... of course she was RIGHT, or I would not be writing this review! The cake became the centerpiece of my event, receiving positive reviews from my guests and coworkers! Months later... I was fortunate enough to work with Claudine on yet another event. This time we went the way of foods for a baby shower. Two words: JerkTains! If you havent... stop reading and order NOW! The sweetness of the yellow plantains combined with the jerkiness (yes I made up a word) of the meat... I knew this was going to be a hit! But you know, yoi cant just order ONE thing right? As a fan of Claudines work, I gave her the okay to bless us with custome cookies AND chocolate covered oreos, all within the colors and themes of the event! I cannot wait to host another event. Communication was seamless, she was easy to work with, delivered the food exactly on time, and even made a couple dishes that she doesn't have on her menu. I hosted a party in our apartment for about 85 people and the amount of food I ordered (7 platters- beef sliders, fried chicken sliders, coconut curry chicken skewers, beef skewers, mango jerk chicken empanadas, spinach & cheese empanadas, veggie spring rolls) was more than enough. My guests all were coming up to me all night saying how great the food was! I also hired a waiter (Rustum) through Bites BK who was a lifesaver. He oversaw the setup with Claudine, passed apps around, tidied up throughout the night, and made sure my guests were well taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend working with her and look forward to doing so on our next party! You won't be disappointed!

1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing and Dangerous Experience…read more This was my first time ordering from Top Tier Catering, and unfortunately, it will likely be my last. I ordered through Uber Eats, but before placing my order, I went above and beyond to make sure I could safely eat the food. I actually called the restaurant beforehand and specifically asked about my sesame allergy. I was told that the wings I was interested in contained sesame seeds, but that if I made note of my allergy, the kitchen would follow those instructions. Fast-forward to my order arriving about 40 minutes later -- and after spending $55 -- I discovered that two of my four items had sesame seeds all over them. And when I say all over them, I mean whoever prepared the food went absolutely crazy with the sesame seeds. There were even sesame seeds inside the container with the pork chops and in one of my containers of collard greens. I cannot explain how frustrating and upsetting this was, especially because I took the time to call the restaurant BEFORE ordering specifically to discuss my allergy. I also listed my sesame allergy multiple times when placing the order through Uber Eats. To make matters worse, the receipt attached to the bag clearly listed my allergies -- not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times under the individual meals. There was even a large section on the receipt clearly marked "ALLERGIES." At that point, I genuinely had to question whether the kitchen staff simply didn't read the order or were being negligent. This isn't a preference or a request to leave off an ingredient that I don't like. This is a food allergy that I specifically disclosed multiple times. Cross-contamination and failure to follow allergy instructions can have serious consequences. I immediately tried to resolve the issue. Since I ordered through Uber Eats, I had to submit a claim through the app, as there isn't an easy way to speak directly with a live person. So now I have to wait and see whether Uber will actually refund me. I also called the restaurant directly. A man answered the phone and told me to hold. I waited on hold for approximately eight minutes before eventually hanging up. I called back several times afterward, and the phone began going straight to voicemail. And before anyone says I should have simply brought the food back: I live more than 20 minutes away, which is exactly why I ordered through Uber Eats. I made several attempts to contact the establishment and give them an opportunity to address this directly before posting this review, but unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone. I am extremely disappointed. When a customer clearly discloses a serious food allergy before ordering, in the order notes, and on the receipt, the expectation should be that those instructions are taken seriously. This was not a minor mistake -- it was a major failure in handling an explicitly stated allergy. I hope the restaurant takes this situation seriously and reviews how allergy orders are communicated and prepared in the kitchen. I understand accidents happen, but this should not have happened. You literally have to read the order to prepare the food so how did you miss sesame allergy on a receipt paper more than four times I will never understand!

Chef Mellanee's page, filled with tantalizing spreads, set in entrancing presentation, made a foodie like myself, instantly interested. Upon speaking with Chef Mellanee, I was immediately taken by her warmth, easy-going nature, patience (because, I asked SO many questions, on multiple occasions), and polished professionalism. Though I had nothing solidified, in terms of a venue, or even a wedding planner, Chef Mellanee offered me much guidance, and recommended a venue, which eventually led me to connect with my future Wedding Planner! I was presented a set list with a plethora of hors d'oeuvres, Buffet and Dinner compilations, and a separate drink menu, should an open bar be desired. Though many fantastic options were listed for consideration, Chef Mellanee informed I could inquire about offerings not listed, also. On the day of the tasting, my then-fiance and I, had car trouble. After speaking with Chef Mellanee, she graciously offered to extend the appointment to a reasonable time. By a miracle of God, we made it to the tasting, with 20-mins to spare. Upon entering Chef Mellanee's presence, we were immediately put at ease. The highly stressful event we'd been through, began to melt off us. Music played, in the background that set a loving mood. My beloved and I, sat at a table set for us to dine like royalty. Each course was impeccable, and Chef Mellanee checked to ensure our thoughts about each dish, were of genuine satisfaction. After our meal, and offering our final decisions, Chef Mellanee brought out a card game for us to play! It was a sweet game, made to enhance connection between a couple. We loved it! On the day of the wedding, upon entering the venue, I was told by my wedding planner to check a bag that had been left in my changing room. There, I found a white box, embossed with The Fork Goes on the Left emblem. Inside sat a few wonderful items, and a thoughtful, sweet note, that I keep in mind each day. From the time of service to the end of the night, everyone raved about the food, and service, rendered by Chef Mellanee, and her A+ Team. The food was well seasoned, and delightfully satisfying, speaking to our guests' Caribbean background, and elevated tastes. Chef Mellanee's team were the epitome of polished professionalism, courtesy, and joy! What also caught my eye, was how well Chef Mellanee's Team had her back. Before my husband, and I, were to take a picture with Chef Mellanee, the same lady on her Team, stopped to fix Chef's collar, to ensure she looked her best - I LOVED that! It spoke to everything we saw that evening, that contributed in so many ways, to their supreme level of service. Great trust, comradery, and respect worked within their Team dynamic. If any Bride is considering catering services, please, look no further than The Fork Goes on the Left. The level of care, and pampered service you, and your guests, will experience, will undoubtedly make your event, a day or night, to remember. As I said at the beginning of my review, Chef Mellanee and her Team, are excellence, personified, and, even more than that, they are genuine people, who care about each other, and their client.
