This is the 2nd time in the last few months that I've had an issue with this place. I usually just order shrimp or beef egg foo yung. This is the 2nd time that one side of all the patties were burned. I won't be going back unless they want to comp 3 orders of this, and give me some free coupons for them to try and redeem themselves in my eyes. From reading other reviews it sounds as they're not too responsive to complaints. That's it, my recommendation is 'don't go there'. read more

My entire family loves Asian food, but our tastes are diverse. Some like spicy, some don't. They will make to order...change sauces, make extra spicy or no spice etc. Veggies & meat always taste fresh. Brown rice available upon request. Great coupon deals! Favorite Chinese delivery! Had a rough start a few years ago when the driver had no change and ended up getting a $15 tip. But since then it is great. I love the sesame chicken and and pan fried dumplings. Also love the sweet biscuits (fried doughnuts covered in sugar). My husband normally goes for the lo mein or the fried rice. read more

the worse!!! i ordered over $35.00 of food and had it delivered. the curry chicken was not cooked all the way thru.smelled awful too the wonton soup was pure oil! the seasame beef was bad as well. overall not eatable. i called to let themknow and he said too bad. so beware this food is not good quality! read more

i have been going here since they opened a few years ago and loved it but i notice the food is getting worse each time i go not to mention the customer service. my last order will be my last here. they delivered with missing food and driver didnt have enough change for me even after i warned them. when i called the lady who i placed the order with, she called me a liar. manager wasnt any better. he told me to go to happy wok if i am not happy here. i just wanted my chicken on a stick for crying out loud! read more

I've been here two times and since my husband thought his Mongolian beef was just ok, I gave two stars. If it were based solely on my own food, I'd give 1 star. The first time, my chicken and veggies smelled so off. It literally smelled and tasted like the worst bad breath. I thought it was just me so I had my husband try. He's not picky at all and hates sending food back but sent this back immediately. They replaced it but I could hear the cooks yelling in the kitchen as soon as the waiter told them. Maybe just a coincidence? We decided try try it again today. I was craving pad Thai but thought I was asking for trouble ordering it at this restaurant. However, the guy said they sell a lot of it. Since I eat very little meat, I was pleased to discover they offered a veggie pad Thai. All I needed was the egg and peanuts for protein. It was ready quickly since we were only people in restaurant. Right away I noticed the noodles were crushed really small which I've never seen in an authentic pad Thai in the years I've had it before. Next I noticed there was no egg. Big letdown. I asked the guy where the egg was and he said people who order the vegetables usually don't like eggs so they don't put them in. It would have been nice if they gave me that option and it would have been even nicer if he would have offered me some when I asked about it. Instead he quickly walked away. There were probably 3 bean sprouts, two pieces of broccoli, three snow peas and 3 mushrooms. Not much but I could have lived with it if there were a normal amount of peanuts, eggs and if the sauce actually tasted like pad Thai. It tasted like a brown Chinese sauce. I squeezed some lime on and it helped a little. I ended up having 3 bites and the rest boxed up and hopefully eaten by my husband if he gets really hungry. My husband ordered Mongolian beef and again, he thought it was eh, ok. The fried rice was bland. Just oily, slightly seasoned rice with nothing else in it. We asked for boxes to go and the young guy came up front right after cutting raw chicken. He didn't even wash his hands after handling it. Our boxes were definitely contaminated. Pretty scary. Definitely will not be giving them a third chance! When I crave pad Thai I'm the rockford area, will for sure go to Bamboo. So much better there! read more

I just ordered a sweet and sour shrimp lunch. I've gotten it before, because, in the past, I have ordered the sweet and sour chicken, and when I questioned the lack of vegetables, I was told I would get more veggies if I ordered sweet and sour shrimp. So I drive up there on my lunch, and picked up my order. I got back to work, opened my lunch and found no vegetables. As I looked over the five pieces of shrimp and the mound of white rice, I noticed that the breading on the shrimp was beyond old ... nasty and crusty to boot. So ... I called. I'm in there often, this isn't usually a problem I encounter. I told the guy who answered the phone (the same guy who waited on me when I went to pick it up). He told me that there no vegetables in the lunch order. B.S. I've gotten it before ... but that was what he was being told. Then I told him there's nothing that indicated there are no vegetables in the lunch orders on their website. Further, I had been told there were MORE veggies in the s&s shrimp. I told him, had I known there were no veggies, I wouldn't have ordered it. I then told him that I, as we were talking, had begun to peel the nasty, crusty breading off the shrimp ... and that I was having trouble finding much shrimp at all! I proceeded to pull the breading off all the shrimp, and I found, I'd estimate, an equivalant to 2 tablespoons of shrimp encased in about 1 1/2 cups of breading. I told him I had just purchased a lunch of breading and rice ... and I wasn't happy about it. At this point (and this is important), I say to him "I can bring it to you and show you." Now, I'm "fairly" pleasant during all this, but it's easy to hear/tell ... I am not pleased. He told me that I didn't need to do that. So he put me on hold. He came back and told me I had a "discount" on the next lunch. I asked him, "What kind of discount?" Back on hold. He came back and said $5.15 ..basically a whole new lunch. And all I had to do was call back and my number which was "registered in their phone" would let them know I had that credit coming ... hahaha, right. Call me cynical. I told him that A. I had nothing to eat at this point and B. If they were willing to give me a new lunch at another time, why didn't I just drive up there and get it now so I have something to eat. Important here ... they were going to give me a credit for a lunch at another time - meaning they would never see the state of this lunch in order to give me another. He said that was fine, suggested shrimp with veggies - which does NOT have breading ...and hopefully DOES have veggies (although I'm figuring it's a crap shoot by this point). I asked - again - if he wanted me to bring back the lunch. He said no. So, I get in my car and drive back again. As I enter the door, I know something's wrong ... no bag on the counter and the guy is pretty red-faced and looking mighty uncomfortable. Well, don't ya know, now the cowards in the kitchen - who would not come out and handle it themselves - and even CALLED him on the PHONE at one point in order to avoid talking to me, made this poor guy tell me that NOW they wanted to see the food. I pointed out that A. they wouldn't have seen it had I just taken the credit and B. I had offered to bring it back - twice - and was told no - twice. He goes back to the chicken$hits in the kitchen and tried to reason with them ... no go. So he said he was just going to buy me my lunch ... nice, but NO ... I'd rather eat my own foot than what I imagined would be coming out of the kitchen at that point. SO ... I calmly told him, while making eye contact with the wimp in the kitchen through the curtain that this was all over a $5.00 lunch which now cost me my entire lunch time, two trips worth of gas .. and it probably cost them 50 cents to make. I reminded them how much business they get from me and my family - and he said "Oh I know, I recognize you" and that this was BAD BUSINESS. I told him I knew it wasn't his fault, but I'd never be back - and I'd be certain to tell as many people as I possibly could. A bad meal now and again is just par for the course ... but this quality of product - this type of cowardice - this type of disregard for customer service is never acceptable. It's just as simple as this - if you screw up, make it right. Never again, Chef Chen ... and I hope I can warn as many away from their doors as possible. read more
