Go to this place now! Chef Brad's food is beyond incredible. Honestly, 5 star. It's a casual funky spot with ridiculous food. His almost famous tacos are famous. I have to get them. Burgers are perfect. Fries and onion rings are exactly Geo they should be and then even better. The crazy sauces are flavorful and add flair to your selections. The dessert fridge is packed with excellent desserts. It's BYOB so feel free. Seating outside but if it's raining still go! The bus has tables and chairs and it's fun to eat in there. The place is beyond great. We went twice this week. Once for a date date night and then we brought the kids. The woman who takes he orders is delightful. The chef is exceptional. Disappointed. Been eating at Chef Brad's before it relocated. My wife likes the fish tacos so I ordered the pulled pork. I asked for extra BB cause, was charged $3 extra and, lo and behold, no extra BB sauce. Perhaps it's my imagination but I used to enjoy the friendly service but maybe success spoils, so though I live close by, unless the wife insists, Crazy Side is off my stops. read more

Easily 5 stars. I've been here a few times and the food as all good. Burger with pineapple Dijon sauce, a side of coconut curry cole slaw, and some homemade root beer - ridiculously good! We had heard about Chef Brad's CrazySide food truck from a new acquaintance of ours. We searched it out in Quechee. It was such a great way to spend a summer Saturday night. Eating fabulous food outside with our BYOB choice. We had a delicious grilled salmon sandwich and crab cake sandwich. All the other diners were also enjoying their meals around us. Often, when visiting Bridgewater's Corners Inn for dinner many years ago, I would intend to select something "different" from the menu - knowing the talents of Chef Brad Pirkey to create all manner of delectable dishes. Just as often, I would succumb to the 4th item listed on the menu: "Chef Brad's Special Cioppino" Yum! Fast forward a decade or so, I was delighted to hear that Chef Brad was once again offering up his Special Cioppino, now from his new restaurant on Route 4 in Quechee VT. So last night my wife and I headed to Brad's Crazy Side Restaurant to find out whether he could reproduce this lightly spiced tomato-based Italian seafood stew of shrimp, scallops, mussels, and linguine. The answer is WOW - great job Brad! Your Special Cioppino is as yummy as it ever was, arguably among the best cioppinos I've had anywhere in the country. At $18, this dish is an ample meal for a "hearty" eater, or could be shared between a couple of light eaters. There's enough mussels, shrimp, and scallops to go around. If you're a cioppino fan, you'll love Brad's creation. If you're not familiar with the dish, do yourself a favor and give this a try. But call Brad's Crazy Side Restaurant (802-295-6400) ahead to make sure there's some left for you. read more

The food was great. I'd like to give it more stars but maybe it was the timing but it just didn't meet our expectations. We showed up in pouring rain with two kids-- we quickly noticed the signs indicating they don't take cards and the lady announced we could drive down the road to a atm (first issue-- no atm on site? How about Venmo?) Once we return we notice their sign says Venmo is accepted (ugh why didn't she tell me?!... not a big deal normally but as a family do 4 traveling from Killington to the NH seacoast amidst a rain storm it felt like a blow). After trying to enter the area we figure out we must order outside (off a very disorganized menu.. in the cold and rain) and then we can go inside. My husband finished ordering while I bring the boys in... once he arrives he informs me he is a dollar short ( his $60 didn't cover the burger, fish and chips, Salad, burrito, and 2 drinks) so I tell him to sit with his beer (well earned at this point) and I'll go out and pay. I go to the window on the food truck and knock-- the cook doesn't respond-- it's cold and rainy so I got back into the indoor cafe area. I find the server/counter help and pay. Quickly our name is called and we go back into the rain and get our food. The good was great! The burger was huge ( wishing they had a kid's menu given the $14 burger for a 4 year old was excessive) but overall the food was fabulous. Unfortunately we couldn't locate napkins so we had to go to the bathroom multiple times throughout our meal to get paper towels (kinda gross). There is zero table service so if you need anything-- water, hot sauce, napkins, etc-- you need to seek this out. The other thing we noticed was that the reviews said good for kids but there isn't a kids menu and there are signs everywhere reminding you to watch your kids-- so our conclusion is it's seems like a good spot for kids but really they'd prefer you'd didn't have kids there. I think if the sun was shining and we could be outside and super relaxed we would have had a better experience. Worth a visit but we wouldn't go out of our way to go again... read more

OMG, we came in a large group and ordered a variety of dishes and all were delicious. The chili was just the right amount of heat and spice. The fish tacos were devoured by everyone at the table. We sampled the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and French fries all were crisp and perfectly cooked. We sat outside with our parkas on and didn't even care about the cold. I could whole heartedly recommend Chef Brads to all who wonder through or near Woodstock Vermont!!! read more

I pulled up on a lovely fall afternoon and had the asian pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was just that - pulled pork, with a nice rol that was crispy on the outside and softer on he inside. Think the pork could have used a stronger Asian spicing slat, but the coconut curry slaw went very well with it and the fries. A yummy meal in a region that does not always offer this kind fare with flair. Looking forward to the fish taco the next time I'm in the area. read more

Super-fun place and feels like a day at the beach right off route 4. First of all, the vibe is so cute with a surf themed food truck and the service was really exceptional. Incredibly warm and friendly. We both got burgers and fries which were delicious and came out promptly. The old bus in the back is fitted with tables and painted like a partridge family bus. The plantings and flowers were really pretty. We went for lunch but apparently they also do dinner on weekends until 8 and byob. Will need to try other selections next time as it had a lot of other intriguing items. Really great and will definitely go back. read more

This review is for Brad's Fireside, at the Salt Ash Inn in Plymouth where he is for the winter. (Corner 100 and 100A) The menu is classic Brad, with nut crusted slamon, ciopino, and of course, fish tacos. There is a cozy dining room, and an eat in bar area with gas fireplace. Brad usually does a half dozen specials, and posts them on facebook. The regular menu is on the Salt Ash Inn site. The food is excellent, the price is reasonable, the beer is cold and the service is friendly, I've eaten there 3 times, and while there were a few minor goofs, the overall experience is one of the better ones in the area. Recent highlights include a perfect bourbon maple pork chop, heavenly profiteroles (really an eclair shell) with ice cream and yummy ganache, grilled Mahi with fruit/cilantro salsa and a steak that impressed. If you're not happy here, give up. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is he's still working a few bugs out, he just opened. Go now before it's discovered! read more

(Hartland location on Rt 12). This place is simply awesome. A little bit like a food truck with a twist. A big twist. Too bad it moves away during winter. Brad's and his lady helper's attitude are the best, always happy, always friendly and smiling. The food is outstanding, delicious and fresh, and also pretty fast, even when the place is packed. I usually avoid eating fried food, but here I can enjoy a yummy (fried) haddock sandwich and not being bothered by it in the slightest. Very impressive. Then there's the friendly and well behaved doggies, and the super-cool and colorful bus with its happy little lights, if it's too chilly outside. Clearly casual dining, highly recommended! I guess this is how reviews start... you have an experience that is either good or bad and you feel compelled to tell the world... I have been to Crazy Side more than a couple times and love the food! Great variety, great ingredients, funky atmosphere, good prices. BUT this last visit not so much. We arrived right at 1230 for lunch with my kids. There has always been an old dog at the property but now... there is a puppy too. As someone who has owned dogs... lock up your DAMN dog when you are running a business!! long story short because the dog kept trying to tackle my kids and was barking in our faces we were confined to the school bus while we waited for our food. When my son ventured outside the bus the puppy that weights more than my 3 yr old, snapped the running line he was attached to, knocked my son to the ground and scratched his arm. NOT THE DOG's FAULT... the puppy doesn't know better. But, the pet owner/ restaurant owner should know better! Another patron pulled the dog off my screaming son. Needless to say my son proceeded to tell me he hates dogs now and your restaurant. Oh yeah... and there was dog shit on the ground where you eat... if you want to have a decent meal at a DOG KENNEL... this is the place for you. read more
