Chef Baba Cooking Class - Cooking with the Chef - Cooking Classes Near Me - Davie, Florida

This was my first time attending a cooking class and it did not disappoint. My sweet Husband set this up for my birthday dinner and it was such a great, playful idea! I attended a Saturday 2 PM class and there was a total of 15 adults and we ate a four course meal: pasta, bruschetta, soup, and dessert. Everything was made fresh, live and we were informed of recipes and suggestions of meals we could make at home. Chef Baba lets you know that he has rotating menus of about 15 or so that go through rotation depending on the day and time slot you attend. He also sells his homemade vinaigrette wine and cook book; all amazing that I even purchased a huge bottle of red wine - delicious. My husband and I are already planning our next date night out! read more

Absolutely five stars for Chef Baba's Italian cooking class! This wasn't just a meal -- it was a full-blown *lobster extravaganza* woven together with mouthwatering dishes, belly-laughing jokes, and rich Italian history. Chef Baba's charisma lit up the room, and every course was a celebration of flavor and culture. From cracking claws to cracking up, we were entertained and well-fed the entire time. The best part is that he does birthday parties and private events! read more

We have gone to Chef Baba's cooking classes twice now and both times we had a great time. The first was the intro class and was educational and tasty. The second one was even more fun. It was the Sunday Gravy class. We were lucky enough to have an opera singer that entertained us this time. The wine was good, the food always really good. The meatballs we made were great, the salad was amazing because he glazed fresh walnuts and pine nuts in the class and cut up some fresh pear., the finish was spectacular- a fluffy Italian cheesecake that wasn't too rich like most cheesecakes, covered with strawberries. Great time and amazing entertainment. read more

Always a great time with Chef Baba. The jokes were the same from last time but we came in for the Lobster Extravaganza class and had a blast. The food was so divine and there was a lot of it. It's perfect for a date night or a special occasion. On the night my date and I came there was actually a large birthday party sitting in the front. There's complimentary wine but you can also bring your own. For lobster extravaganza the only things you actually cook are the lobster bisque (the best course in my opinion), lobster ravioli sauce, and toasted bread. The ravioli, lobster Mac n cheese, and bruschetta topping is already prepped. The lobster raviolis are quite impressive as there is lots of lobster inside. And the chef can be emailed for the recipe. I can't wait to come back to try another class! read more

I found this cooking class on Travelzoo. You can also book directly with Chef Baba for the same price. You can find him on FB. He has three different menus, so pick the class you want to attend. Chef Baba creates a fun atmosphere to learn about Italian cooking. He kept our attention for the 2.5 hour class. He gets the audience to help him cook during the cooking demo. You eat the courses as they are ready. We started with a penne a la vodka that was creamy and delish. Next up was bruschetta, pasta fagioli, and a creamy egg/strawberry dessert. We left full. He also provided a glass of house made red wine. Some tables brought their own bottles of wine. Improvements: more water needs to be provided to guests. There was one pitcher of water for 30 people. Or I suggest bringing your own water. There are cloth towels outside the restroom and people would use them and lay them around the bathroom because there was no collection area for the towels. About 15 guests(front row seats) had no table to set their drink or plate. More tables should be provided so all guests have a place to put their plate and drink. Overall, we had a fun evening and will return. read more

A fun evening with friends ! Chef Baba is quite the character and adds a flavor to a fun meal!

What a great surprise this was. Chef Baba's chef-led cooking class was so informative, fun and entertaining! And most importantly, delicious. Our good friend gifted us a Groupon a few months ago - when we initially received it, we did think it was a hands on cooking class with stations but after some research, we were relieved LOL. It was mainly chef baba cooking with some help from the audience for each segment. We choose the day he was making ricotta gnocchi, chicken piccata and CANNOLIs - from SCRATCH! We learned how to make spinach pasta! You wouldn't believe how easy it is. Chef baba is hilarious and tells stories during the entire time - get ready for The Godfather reenactment- he knows it by heart! We also got to have his homemade vino - light crisp and delicious! It's no wonder he's sold out of it so quick. This was so worth it and we'll be going back for his lobster extravaganza *droooool* read more
