I got the Stracciatella, which I do not think I have ever had in a vegan version. Got a couple of vegan/gf croissants for the morning: plain, and peanut butter and jelly. Everything is clearly marked as plant based, with gluten free noted when it is. They do serve a few animal based menu items, so pay attention to that. The worker was helpful and let us know it would be a bit for the croissants as he was putting out the gelato selections and serving gelato to customers. Ok by us as the croissants were ready when we'd finished our gelato. There are pictures on the wall describing the various gelato flavors, which is a nice touch. It's a small gelato store with a case you can sew into with limited seating, but it was welcoming enough for us to take a seat and enjoy our gelato. The croissants were fabulous for breakfast the next day.

The shop is small, with the daily selections in a glass case, but you can see some of the kitchen in the back where the bakes come from. A lot of cupcakes were left, but my daughter hasn't had much luck with vegan cupcakes; mainly because most are too sweet for her. Other options were muffins, donuts, two black and white cookies, and some other flavors of mini loaves. We were assured that everything was vegan, with the exception of the banana bread mini loaf. However, my daughter had been concerned because the board to the side had claimed that the cookies weren't vegan, but asking the girl who was checking us out again, she said that it was indeed vegan. My wife got a blueberry muffin and a red velvet cupcake, which isn't pictured. She said that they were both dry. But she understood that she wasn't part of the crowd that the bakery is intended for (vegans and those suffering from gluten allergies). I tried the muffin and thought it had a nice flavor, but the texture is a little different from what I'm used to since I'm also not gluten free. When my daughter tries her desserts, I will come back to update my review. Finally, while checking out, the cashier gave us a 10% off coupon which was very kind of her to do. Also don't forget, when you check in you get a 10% your first order! I may not come back myself, but if your someone who is vegan, gluten free, or likes trying new bakeries, I say give them a try! We came on a very busy time since there were over twenty customers on a food walk tour trying to get their baked treats at once and it seemed the person behind the counter was overwhelmed, and I was too. The shop had really nostalgic items from the 70s and 80s scattered around the room including old albums and toys with a nice giant blue velvetish shoe seat. The parking was easy on the street for $1.50 an hour so not bad at all. They do offer a big parking garage too.
