The restaurant grounds are amazing. There's a bakery, historically building, the restaurant and plenty of outside activities to do. Parking was a sort of an adventure. It's a gravel parking lot that was uneven in many places. We were greeted warmly when we arrived. We had a short wait (15 minutes) before we were escorted upstairs to our table. There's no elevator so this may be an issue for those who don't walk well. Our waitress was kind and friendly. Our food was ok. Staff, while nice, seemed lsot at times (took our food to the wrong table, never brought me my drink). I had oxtails and grits. It was good, I'd likely order it again if I returned. We had two main issues. My daughter's meal came about 5 minutes after everyone else's. This isn't a long time on theory but when you're sitting at a table of 6 and there's 5 meals and one missing it seems like an eternity. Second, it took 3 times to make an acceptable waffles for my mother. The first 2 were much too soft and almost soggy. They got it right in the third try but at this time everyone else has just about finished eating. All in all the experience was just so/so. We were vacationing on Hilton Head Island and made a special trip to visit this restaurant, I'm not sure I'd make a special trip again.

Fabulous new restaurant and bar on May River Road! Bartender expertly crafted 4 cocktails. Beautiful decor and spotlessly clean. Sit out in the shaded porch or dine inside...either will impress!

If you're looking for a restaurant that feeds your soul as much as your stomach, this is it! The decor is beautiful--warm, vibrant, and full of Gullah cultural pride. That mural downstairs and all of the artwork is amazingly gorgeous. The staff is incredibly welcoming. The live music is beautiful and makes for a good time. The food? Unreal. Chicken and waffles were fluffy and the chicken perfectly seasoned; the fried flounder was crispy and flavorful; and the rice perlo, candied yams, macaroni and cheese, and green beans tasted like they came straight from grandma's kitchen. Ma Daisy is proud I'm sure. Don't skip the sweet carrot cake--trust me. More than a meal, it's a cultural experience. Can't wait to come back! If this is the "soft opening", I know the grand opening will be perfect!

Beautiful place but the food was lousy. Inattentive staff. Drinks expensive and very slow service. Will not go back.

I made reservations for Farm Bluffton with an outside table last year. who knew it was hot in July?…read moreMy sister in laws face was melting at the outside table so I had to adjust fire. 2026, I made a reservation inside with our own private table. The restaurant is very charming, it's giving off White Barn Inn Kennebunkport vibes. Once you're seated, you'll see why this is a popular Low Country restaurant. We're all given menus and what I noticed was a game changer. Farm is offering a three course tasting menu but the entire table has to participate. My wife was feeling under the weather so I grabbed the waiter to the side and said, we're all in with the tasting menu except my wife. Can you make an exception? Not a problem sir! The three course menu does not include the popular Farm corn bread. I placed an order before our tasting started. You're probably saying, what's so special about corn bread? Man... If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right. The corn bread was cooked in a skillet pan, the end result was a buttery, sweet treat. The sharable starters came to the table. Roasted May River Oysters, Beef Carpaccio and Burrata with shaved ham. The Roasted May River Oysters were my favorite bite of all these selections. The oysters were large and plumpy and the chef did not overcook the shell fish. Next, the waiter dropped off a huge bowl of Shrimp Rice along with a Heritage Pork Chop. This is what elevated southern cooking is all about, the pork chop was moist and had a wonderful taste. Another highly recommended dish. Dessert, I was starting to get really full but the Blueberry Olive Oil cake did not disappoint. There was a Toll House Hand Made Pie, also very good but I really full at this point of the meal. First time dining at Farm, it was a pleasure to dine here and I can't wait to return.

Let me start out by saying Yelp reviews are what led me to Farm. I was in town for the afternoon…read moreto check out Bluffton. What a quaint and charming town! Before leaving town, we decided to have dinner, and that is where Farm comes in. We decided to go with the recommendation of the staff up front and the waiter, choosing the Anthology menu for dinner. That selection was impossible to be disappointed with. The food is sourced locally, the taste is exceptional, and the service (shout-out to Justin) is outstanding. We just planned a return visit to Bluffton for May. This is what a low-country dining experience should be.
