Lamb Merguez w/ mozzarella, pickled fresno peppers, walnut muhammara, halloumi - SO GOOD!
    Cherylynn N.

Anyone that names their business after their dog, I'm here for it! Opening last Thursday, Cheezy's Artisan Pizza is the newest food stall in Saluhall, IKEA's sister food hall. An alum from Pizzeria Delfina and Flour + Water Pizzeria, the owner is an award winning pizzaiolo. He named his business after his late chihuahua (RIP). Cheezy's is located on the first floor, taking over Smörgåsland, Scandinavian Bakery & Café. Open for takeout and indoor dining. They were offering free Margherita and NY slices over the weekend but I couldn't make it. M E N U Six pies: Margherita, Five Cheese, New Yorker (w/ pepperoni), Wild Mushroom, Gold Rush (w/ potatoes + pancetta), and Lamb Merguez. Whole 12-inch pies: $23-$28 and slices are $8. They also have salads. Pies are West Coast style, a cross between Neo-Neapolitan (modern twist on Neapolitan) and Canotta Americano (large inflated crust w/ micro blisters). Dough is fermented for at least five days. F O O D I visited for weekday lunch and the cashier told me they had no slices. I asked what time slices would be available and he said, they don't have slices. He kindly allowed me to order a pie, half/half ($28): * Gold Rush w/ mozzarella, provolone, fontina, jack, Mt. Tam, fingerling potato, pancetta, parm: https://tinyurl.com/nh9djrjd This pie took the grand prize in the Real California Pizza Contest Tournament of Champions so IMO, a must try. A blend of local, small batch cheeses with paper thin potatoes and pancetta, the Gold Rush was deliciously savory with a nice soft texture from the potatoes. Brushed with olive oil before baking, the exterior crust is unlike anything I've had. The exterior crust had a crackly crisp with a honeycomb center, good airy chew with a light sourdough tang. It was foldable yet sturdy enough to support the toppings. * Lamb Merguez w/ mozzarella, pickled fresno peppers, walnut muhammara, halloumi: https://tinyurl.com/2cbdzusd A Middle Eastern inspired pie, the mix of savory spiced lamb, punchy peppers, smoky sweet muhammara, along with the creamy tang of the halloumi was SO damn good. And, the crushed walnut added a good crunch. I brought back half the pie for my coworker to try and we both agreed, the Lamb Merguez was our fav of the two. S E R V I C E Prompt; I received my order in 10 minutes. A M B I A N C E Spacious two-level food hall with plenty of seating and two full bars. Clean restrooms (security guard will let you in). P A R K I N G Garage parking underneath Ikea (entrance on 440 Stevenson). Free 1 hour parking with a $15 purchase. Overall, happy to see Cheezy's open in Saluhall because their pies are a massive improvement over their predecessor's flatbreads. Not only are their pies bomb but they're unique. I hope they offer slices soon for the lunch crowd!

Giving this a 5/5 because the pizzas are very good and well crafted. And it's hard finding food under $10 in SF so each slice being $8 is affordable. My favorite was definitely the lamb pizza. It had plenty of meat and there's a spice to it that just makes it pop in your mouth. Also such a convenient location in saluhall. Right there on the first floor, perfect for a grab and go. If you need something quick to eat that taste really good, you can never go wrong with pizza

A bit on the saltier side, and more doughy than what I typically prefer. The mushrooms on the pizza were great otherwise! Nearly $10 for a slice after tax and tip - not cheap but portion is sizable. Might try their margarita next time.

Cute little pizza place that's under ikea with a bunch of other restaurants (fast and casual dining). Went here for a quick bite and got the new yorker. Very fresh ingredients, good cheesy pizza. The pepperoni had a bite to it which I loved, and also it was thin which made the pizza light but fulfilling. I suggest coming here if you want to get something fast before getting on with your other activities! Staff was kind and efficient and would overall come here again.

We got the mushroom pizza and the pesto pizza, and both were great. I loved the ricotta on top of both. The crust was delicious and the line went fast. It's a great quick bite downtown!

Found this awesome restaurant on the lower level of the Saluhall food court. There were at least 5-6 flavors available in the display case on a Saturday evening for pizza by the slice, except the one I wanted to try. No worries, the worker assured me that a fresh pie would be out in ten minutes. It was worth the wait. That new yorker slice was full of flavor, with savory juicy pepperoni combined with garlic and basil, an airy crust, ample cheese, and not too much sauce, just the way I like it. Also, I appreciated the friendly service, and the place wasn't busy, with plenty of seating available in the food hall.

A bit of char on the crust but so Cheesy in SF

Downtown San Francisco has some interesting places to eat over the years. Some of the places happen to be the cheesiest places in San Francisco. The Saluhall next to IKEA in Downtown San Francisco has been getting different restaurants tenants and one thing missing inside was a pizza place. I found one of the best new pizza places in San Francisco that is very cheesy that has the namesake Cheezy in it. I made a pit stop to check it out. The Cheezy's Artisian Pizza offers different types of pizza pies. I got the 5 cheese pizza which was cheesy and tasty. It was thin sliced and the sauce flavor was savory along with the different 5 cheeses which were mozzarella, wagon wheel , Parmesan , dry jack , and provolone and the blend was so delicious. It's National Cheese Day today . This is my new favorite place to grab a cheesy artisan pizza with a great staff and the owner David Jacobson has provided the best in class service in this area of San Francisco. The surrounding area outside use to be a little more sleazy and I found a place where the pizza is a bit more cheesy One of the best pizza in San Francisco can be found at the Saluhall at Cheezy artisan pizza which has a thin crust but it's not greasy

Exciting place to get good New York style slices of pizza. People love Outta Sight, and I do agree that the crust is good there, but the toppings hardly taste like anything. But Cheezy's has also mastered their pizza crust, and the toppings have flavor, so Cheezy's wins hands down. I've tried the mushroom, lamb merguez, and gold rush slices and they all tasted good. My favorite might be the mushroom, just because I found the lamb merguez to a bit salty and the gold rush to be bland. I also tried a caesar salad. It was really fresh and crisp. I don't think I got croutons, but the egg and anchovies were plentiful. Staff is friendly. Great addition to Saluhall.

The is a new pizza place in the Saluhall food hall, first floor. I tried a pepperoni slice. It was pretty good. You can order any slice of pizza from the case for the same fixed price. I will definitely come back again. Good customer service. I like the food hall, it is a clean and safe place to eat.

their pizza dough was really good but unfortunately the peach pizza is a white sauce pizza and way too salty. would come back to try red sauce only

This is some of the best pizza- EVER. Their vegan slice is elusive, but spectacular. I venture down to IKEA just for this pizza.

The entire pizza had shifted in the box, slices were folded over, grease was splattered all over the lid, and it was no longer hot by the time it arrived. What made this even more frustrating was the amount paid for delivery. In addition to the food cost, I paid a $3.99 delivery fee, a $5.70 service fee, and tipped the driver $5.50. For that kind of added cost, I think it's reasonable to expect the pizza to arrive level, intact, and hot. The restaurant is about 4 miles from my house, and it appeared the delivery was made by bicycle, which may explain why the pizza ended up tilted and damaged during transport. I can't say that for certain, but something clearly went wrong between the restaurant and my door. The pizza itself may have been good fresh out of the oven, but the delivery experience completely ruined it.
