After a music event and hours of dancing; my friend and I were famished. We decided to get some of the well-deserved pizza and to my ecstatic surprise they offered a lot of vegan options; including imitation meats. I ordered the "eat your veggies" pizza - personal size. It was ready very quickly and it was delicious. I would like to go back again soon and different one. They also have alcoholic beverages, sides and desserts. CC accepted Bathroom available. Outside and indoor seats.

Finally got to try this place! Lots of locations. Went by for their happy hour $5 deals! Got the pep slice, wings, and garlic knots! Definitely worth it! Loved the thick pepperonis, garlic knots were garlicky, and wings were great with the buffalo sauce, nice kick of spice. We loved the ranch too! Great portion sauces. Definitely would come back! Service was kind and welcoming. Place is nice nearby the water. Plenty of seating.

Stopped by during my lunch hour because I was really craving pizza and I've walked by here so many times that it was about time I try this spot. Casual ambiance with lots of indoor and scenic outdoor seating and very friendly service! I definitely came at the right time because there was no wait so my order came out fast. I tried the sausage and shrooms personal pizza, which was two slices. The pizza had a lot going for it: crust was crispy and the sauce was flavorful. Overall, it was definitely tasty and satisfying. But I had a hard time justifying the price. It was $16 + tax (~$18) for two medium-ish slices, which felt a bit steep for what I received. While the quality was there, I was expecting something more unique or standout in terms of flavor at that price. The portion size was also a little smaller than I had hoped. It's solid pizza overall but for me, the value unfortunately didn't quite match the cost.

Came here after the lunch rush, 1:45 pm. We ordered 2 of their lunch specials, a Caesar salad with chicken, one combo personal pizza, and some drinks. There was a misunderstanding on what we ordered, so when we got our food I didn't get a chance to snap a photo. The salad was ok, I wouldn't order it again. Their pizza was really good though, especially the combo. We paid $90 for 4 people, seemed a bit steep for the food we got. This was within walking distance of where we were at so it was convenient. But I don't think I'd come back again with so many other places to choose from at the Ferry Building.

Well on a recent trip to SF,I found myself with some time to kill before my event started, after coming down from Sacramento and skipping breakfast,I was ready to eat when I got to the Ferry Building area. After looking around a bit,I saw a few of my favorite spots at the Ferry Building but I also saw a new spot,at least for me and I had to try it-I walked over to JoyRide Pizza to give them a try. No car to speak of on this trip,so parking not an issue but for others who do drive, this location is not for people in cars, this is for people who are walking up and down the piers as a walk in spot. I took a look at the menu and since there were 3 of us I decided to go with a large Meatzza($29.00) and a small Supreme($16.00)This place features Detroit-Style Pizza,so even though 2 of us in the party are pretty big eaters, this style pizza truly goes a long way,it's so dense and heavy. So when the pizza arrived I quickly realized mistakes were made, this was way too much pizza for us and since we had no means to bring it with us because the event we were going to had a "No Food" policy,I thought we're in trouble. Also I realized our 2 pizzas were very similar and with all the great options available to order,I should've had a bit more creativity when ordering. That being said-that pizza was dynamite-they have damn near perfected the Detroit-Style pizza recipe right here at this spot located in one of the most touristy spots in the city-that's rare, most of these spots located in touristy spots just mail it in because they know the customers are coming regardless, but not these guys, their product is pretty top notch-the flavors, the cheese, the seasonings, the sauce-they didn't miss a box, checked em all.I was highly impressed. I've always had a favorite pizza spot in SF,one I visit just about every visit, the thing is though my favorite spot is not convenient,it's located way out of the ways, this JoyRide pizza is so much more convenient and a pretty high level,I think I may have found my new spot for a pizza fix whenever I'm visiting the city. I forgot to mention we did get a beer with our meals-I got their IPA($9) and my brother got a pilsner($9)-They were a good enough partner to go with our heavy meal. In closing,if u find yourself near the Ferry Building in SF and want to try some really good Detroit-Style pizza,I would say give these guys a try-they are pretty good. PS-One last thing-I noticed while walking around the city later on that they have multiple locations-I can't really vouch for their other locations, but I can for sure recommend the Ferry Building spot-Be Kind out there...

Wow! This place has one of the best pizza sauce I've had in a while. Ordered the supreme along with the sausage and shrooms pizza (added ricotta). It did take a while for the food to come out but it was well worth the wait. The sauce is savory and flavorful, you can really taste the quality of each topping. Overall a 10/10 for deep dishes and I'm not usually a deep dish fan but I'd come back and order this again.

We came at 11 on a Saturday and since it's before lunch rush, it was not busy. We were excited to get some fluffy Detroit style pizza and the selection looked great. We are two adults and a toddler so decided on one large pizza and some garlic knits. Good did not disappoint - pizza was delicious and garlic knots hit the spot. The marinara sauce was delicious as pointed out by other reviews. Pricing is a bit high but we are right next to the ferry building so not a surprise there. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we would come back. By the time we left, the place picked up and lots of diners around.

This review is for my To Good To Go pick up. I got a delicious pesto pizza for $8.99 with 6 slices. A $30 dollar value. I love their pizza and I love it when I catch a deal.

Stumbled upon this shop while on Embarcadero. It's a cute small restaurant with pizza, drinks and ice cream for dessert. The spritz was a great refreshing drink. Tried the Classic Cheese Pizza. Personally, I loved it! It is on the pricey side for a deep dish but it is fresh. The dough was so soft and had a good amount of cheese! The service was also very kind. Helped us decide drinks. I will definitely be returning!

We were on our way to catch our ferry but were super hungry. We went through the Ferry Building and nothing got us super excited. We went down the whole hallway and exited the building. We turned around and my son saw Joyride Pizza at the opposite end from where we were. We had 35 minutes to our ferry departure. The server at the counter said it would take 7-8 minutes. Of course, we expected the price to be a little inflated. The personal pizza was $16 and it was about 3" x 8". We ended up sharing a large one for $26 (8" x 10"). We ordered a pepperoni pizza and ended up waiting about 15 minutes. We had plenty of time to hustle to the ferry ramp. The pizza was hot and different from how I've eaten pizza before. The sauce was spread on TOP of the cheese and pepperoni. It made for a much more messy-looking pizza, but it wasn't hard to eat. It was very tasty, though I wish there had been more pepperoni on top. My son is not a big sauce guy, but he liked the pizza, too!

    13) Pestorrific Chicken n Ranch
    Joey W.

Joyride is one of my favorite Detroit style pizzas. Their crust is always super crispy while still having that soft and fluffy inside. Pestorrific Chicken n Ranch - I didn't think pesto and ranch will work well together but it's a great combo. The chicken is usually pretty good but sometimes it can be dry.

The location was awesome (on the Embarcadero), service was very good, the overall vibe was relaxed yet trendy and the food was EXCELLENT! My family and I had pizza and salads and each item was very tasty, fresh and filling. My Greek salad was one of the best I have ever as it was loaded with unique flavors I had never had in a salad and it was AMAZING! The LA Dodgers are in town and had just won over the hometown San Francisco Giants so this place was PACKED with Dodger fans in all their Dodger attire which was very cool. This place was overflowing with customers during my entire time spent here which is usually a sign of a popular spot.

If you're in San Francisco and craving a pie that breaks from the usual round‐thin-crust norm, look no further than Joyride Pizza. The spot is all about the iconic Detroit‐style pizza--a thick, rectangular pan‐baked pie that oozes bold crust character, and Joyride has made it their specialty. It's a standout for its style in San Francisco: though Detroit‐style pizza is a regional specialty from Michigan, Joyride brings that authenticity and elevates it with quality ingredients and creativity.

This isn't just the best pizza in San Francisco, it's my favorite pizza in the country. The owner is a saint. Straight up addicted.

There is no seating located in this particular cafe but plenty of outdoor seating directly outside. The general area can be pretty crowded due to the other store fronts within the mall so if you want a more relaxed matcha tea shop to do work or relax it would be better to order and then leave. Service: They have both a kiosk and a barista taking orders. Staff were friendly and working efficiently and quickly to fill the orders as they were being placed. Wait time: Generally depends on when you go since Japantown mall is a heavily toured area by locals and visitors to the Bay Area but I'd say roughly 10-15 minutes max from standing in line to receiving your drink. Food: The matcha ice cream has a deep matcha flavor with a nice concentration of powder which can be tasted in the soft serve. They also top the soft serve with a light dusting of matcha powder to further enhance the flavors. The cone was soft and light with a gentle sweetness that pairs really well against with the earthiness of the matcha.

Luckily, their other tea offerings are just as good, so I never feel left out. The black sesame latte is a longtime favorite, but today I went with the hojicha frappe and it was excellent. It's not as creamy as, say, a Frappuccino, and the ice crystals are a little larger, but honestly that works in its favor because the roasted hojicha flavor comes through so much more clearly. Deep, toasty, and not overly sweet. Their sundaes are also ridiculously fun, loaded with all kinds of bouncy, chewy little goodies that make your dessert an activity rather than just a course.
