I had some business to do in Terre Haute today, so I thought why not have scratch made lunch for the day. The service has been excellent for Khloe N. Dining room was full of life. I had the lunch special with the white fish side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and glazed baby carrots. The croissants are irresistible. Khloe N. is a great Waitress and very attentive to refill needs. The white fish is really grilled to perfection. I didn't want to ruin it with tartar sauce just that lemon pepper seasoning was enough. No dessert for now, I'll save that for later this afternoon for something a little on the Health side. I love scratch kitchen restaurants. They have a really fun atmosphere and the dining room is really fun to be in. It's like being in a place and dining with family as your weight staff. read more

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant - cozy yet cave-y. Service is quick and friendly. Had to get the Tyler Reddick special (chicken tenders) being a NASCAR fan and all... the tenders were DELICIOUS. Big ol' strips of white meat chicken, expertly breaded and fried. The fries themselves were great, and the coleslaw was a tangy, refreshing addition to the meal. I got the honey hot - which was, for me, like a sweet and sour sauce. Absolutely delicious and a HUGE portion too! Also their croissants (which, I guess they're famous for?) - amazing. Light, flaky, melt in your mouth... We had to park in the back parking lot and walked into the back door (they was a few employees out smoking right beside the door )there was nobody at the bar and no institutions on where to go or what to do . So we went and found a Table by ourselves waited a while finally used the kiosk to call for a waiter finally got some help and they helped us and put us in a different booth . Hit help pretty quick then and service was good. Food was good , I had lemon pepper chicken and rice server recommended broccoli casserole for sides , that was cold and gooey, flavor was ish ish ! I have always loved everything I have ordered. Some good choices have been taken off of the menu , but everything else is great!

Haven't been before and was happy to try a new place the restaurant was clean and well maintained. Staff was observant and friendly. That's a huge plus in my department. As we sat down they delivered fresh, warm bread croissants that were drizzled in butter. Delicious. Queso and chips wasn't my favorite but still tasty. I tried the country fried chicken with white gravy. Very good. Homemade green beans tasted like my moms. My kids were all happy with everything. Buffalo chicken wrap is huge and easily a shared dish. I have never left a review for anything. However, my boyfriend and I have been so disappointed lately in the quality of food we're served when we go out. He is especially hard to please. He ordered the ribeye and when they put that steak in front of him, both our eyes lit up. Really great service from our server. Food was ok pretty average. Started with fried cheese bites. They were good and not greasy. I got a bunless burger. Went there a few nights ago. Our food was really great, it was our server that was the problem. He gave us r drinks & croissants, took our order & NEVER stopped by again to see if we needed anything. The people who were across from us got their food before us ( we had gotten there about 15-20 mins before them), & no one bothered to tell us the status of our food.Finally our food arrived which was practically dumped in front of us. We are traveling and don't have a cheddars near us. So we always try to stop when we are near one. Called an hour before close to order and told them we would be there 2 minutes after 10 according to our maps. I told them we would hurry and try to make it before they locked the door. I told them that we would pay over the phone now and they could leave the food outside or we could knock on the door two minutes after if we were late. Food was good, chicken arrived hot, one plate had the good heads of broccoli while the other plate had basically crushed broccoli. Service was slow, when we walked in, the area was empty, when we left it was full. I would recommend it again, just a bit slow. read more

I visited here mid afternoon and it wasn't very busy at all. The hostess was so kind helping us get settled at our table and making sure we had an easy path to the table as we had a wheelchair with us. Our waitress came and got our drink orders right away and it didn't take long at all for those to come out. The food however took what seemed like forever no busier than what they were. Once it did arrive everything tasted great and was hot and fresh. Everyone loved their choices and I'd definitely eat here again however the waitress that we had wasn't attentive at all. We waited a good long while to get our to go boxes and then it was several more minutes when she asked if there was anything else we needed. I said I just needed my ticket so I could pay and that's when she pulled the little tablet off another table to show me how to pay. I didn't have one of those on my table. I chose to get a receipt but it didn't print out so I did the "call your waitress" tab and waited several more minutes. After a lengthy Eye Dr appointment we decided to stop in for a late lunch (3pm) at Cheddars, as it was in the same parking lot. We were seated in a crowded back area with a sticky table to start. Our waitress was nice and offered to clean it up. So being hungry we ordered meals. Hubby ordered the Blackened shrimp Alfredo. I'll admit it looked good when she brought it. in fact the taste of the pasta and sauce was great, but the shrimp....now that leaves something to be desired. I seem my husband using his fingers in the sauce and ask what he was doing. He said the shrimp still have the tails on them yet they were covered in sauce. I've never seen this before! The carrots I ordered as a side with my white fish meal were almost raw, with zero taste. Again the waitress was fantastic, apologizing for everything asking if we wanted something else. We don't and didn't blame her. For us, it was a lesson learned. We used to love Cheddars. But this time was so disappointing, the quality has definitely changed. Always enjoyed Cheddars but we had dinner tonight and besides the food was delicious, the waitress (Cheryl ) was the sweetest and best server I have seen in a while, She loves her job and you can tell , treated all her customers special, and always a smile. I will make sure I ask for her when I go, I really think the owners should pay her to train the other server's that don't smile and act like they hated the job, I had to write this cause anyone stop in there ask for Cheryl , she will treat you right Great Job Cheryl. Stopped at Cheddar's on Sunday because the food vendors at the Vigo County Fair were not yet open. Our first time at a Cheddar's so we had no idea what to expect. We were hoping to get breakfast but must have missed it because we were handed lunch menus. We were seated right away. Then we waited for at least five or ten minutes for our server. There was a young lady taking care of the booth behind ours but she was not our server and she didn't say anything to us. (like, your server will be right with you...) Our server arrived, he was a nice young man. He brought us our drinks and took our orders. I ordered the potato soup and a half a Monte Cristo sandwich. The soup was gloppy, like oatmeal. Very thick. It was like eating glue. I couldn't finish it. The Monte Cristo was also disappointing. It was not like any Monte Cristo I have ever had. It was like eating a doughnut with meat inside of it. I couldn't finish the sandwich either. The only good things I can say about my meal was that our server was a nice guy and the meal didn't cost much. They SUBSTITUTED FREE Crescent rolls that are usually served Cold & Tasteless. Mind You, 1 tasteless roll per Customer unless you shell out another Buck per pie dough and Transforming the Bar and Bartender into a Carry Out Window for Masked Customers scurrying home with their once exquisite food choices to eat cold food at home on paper plates out of a paper sack. We just moved to IN a couple months ago, every time we would drive by Cheddars we would say we have to go there because we have a cat named Cheddar. It was a very hard move from Utah with our 16 rescue cats and we had finally hit a point in settling that we wanted to go on our first date night in IN. We went to see Bullet Train movie and chose Cheddars for dinner. The movie was so Unbelievably good, I was in a phenomenal mood and then we got to Cheddars. Got seated and Kaitlyn was our server. We ordered, the salad was good. Our food came I had ordered my steak medium well, and it came almost raw inside. I let Kaitlyn know and she took my plate back, meanwhile my husband had the New Orleans pasta. He was eating as we were playing a trivia game on the kiosk on our table and as we talked about how much we love IN and how nice people are. Didn't realize how much time had gone by (we got there at 6pm and it was now 7pm) my husband was just about done with his food and Kaitlyn brings me a small plate with a steak on it, I said where is my potato and ribs? She said they are remaking them. By then I was so angry and upset after walking into Cheddars in a phenomenal mood from seeing a great movie I said I don't want it, I am not going to sit here and eat after my husband was done eating. She looked at me like she went out of her way and I didn't appreciate it. She took the plate, came back with the check and put it on the table. Never once apologized for my dinner being ruined. My dinner was removed from the bill, we paid and walked towards the door. I don't know where I saw it as I was walking that everyone gets free Croissants everytime which was hysterical and rubbing salt in the wound because we didn't get any. When we got to the door I asked to talk to a Manager, a young gentleman came over and said how can I help you. I explained what happened, he apologized and said he would address it. We left and when we got home it hit me, how was he going to address it when he didn't know where we sat or who our server was.
