Where has this place been all my life?! The inside of this restaurant has Wildfire vibes, and it's a nice open space that still feels intimate. When the server dropped off the croissants soaked butter, I knew I had an amazing meal ahead of me! For appetizers, we ordered queso/chips/salsa and cheese curds. Folks, living where we do, we KNOW cheese curds. When I tell you these curds were the best I've ever had, know that I am not exaggerating. THE. BEST! For the entree, I ordered the New Orleans pasta, which was shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage mixed with pasta in a creamy, flavorful (but not spicy!) sauce that checked all the boxes. Honestly this place is just alright. People always told me that this place is good. It's just like a fancier looking Chilis really. Cheddars food. Fantastic. I always crave the honey butter croissants and always get the trio sampler, the chips never fail to be crisp and always fresh and the chicken tenders are just so addicting. The only downside is the service. It can be 50-50 on who your server is. Ive been here multiple times and the only thing I dread is what server I'll have. One time I had a lady who forgot to confirm our order to the kitchen so we waited about 2 and a half hours to even get our food.. then another time I had a different lady that was very condescending and 'too nice' were she was almost talking to me like I was a child. So that wasn't so fun.. I admit I look younger for my age but I'd say that was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've ever had. Besides all that. I love the decor, love the atmosphere, can get a little chilly after a while though. Overall I still do love cheddars, just need better employees. :) read more

Since this is a chain I had it in different locations/states. This one disappointed. Since they didn't have/made the dish I wanted. I had ordered the steak. The food was mediocre, cold steak, with mashed and gravy, and there was a piece of straw paper in my mash. Well we stopped at this place right between Chicago and Milwaukee, love the bar area and drinks are reasonably priced...we got an order of cheese fries-man they had just the right amount of bacon and super cheezy... really good! For $7.99... the wife ate most of em becuz she's hogs em... I got the burger she got the ribs! It was a very good meal for a franchise, I was pretty impressed! My colleague recommended going to Cheddar's. He mentioned he'd been to others in the past and it's pretty good comfort food. We started out with Cheese Bites. Certainly quite a bit of breaded cheese curds for 2 people. It could have been a meal. My colleague ordered the Salmon with bourbon glaze with a side of broccoli and cole slaw. Looking back, I should have also ordered that. Instead, I ordered the Ribs & Shrimp. In all fairness, the portions was very generous. The food was tasty, but the ribs were a bit overcooked. I think restaurants are using COVID now as an excuse to provide poor service and not clean. We were sat and my daughter says I don't feel comfortable here because the wall the table was against was dirty and there was food packed in the grooves been the table and wall. The tablet on the table still had food and who knows what smudged all over the screen. The bases was dusty as heck as well. If you expect people to use these things to pay, YOUR responsibility is to make sure they are clean regardless of a PANDEMIC. If you don't take time to do this during this time, I am sure your kitchen is dirty and gross as well. And you are not fooling anyone with your canned chicken in the pot pie. We went to Cheddars for lunch yesterday (10/21/2024), we chose to be seated in the outdoor patio area. My son was seated as I went to the restroom. When I got to the table, no chips were on the table yet, which was surprising since they were very slow and that's usually the first thing they bring when they great you. I asked my son if they had even come to the table yet, and he said no. We waited for a while and another couple was sat near us. Still, nobody came. Then about 5 min later, we saw another couple sat down. Still, nobody had come to our table. We were waiting and then we saw the latest table have a waitress arrive at their table and kindly greeted them with the usual chips and salsa. Still, our table or the other table who were seated before that one, received no attention. About 5 more min later, now leading to a good 15 or so minutes, we thought we might want to just leave, but then we saw a waitress coming with chips and salsa and thought we'd stay....until she walked right past our table and to the table that was sat several minutes after we had been seated. We left and told the manager( older woman with short blonde hair) we are leaving because we sat there for quite some time and two couples were taken care of and we hadn't been waited on yet. Been here several times, and when we leave I always say why do we even come here! Bad meal time after time! This time i ordered steak & shrimp. I ordered my steak Med ... welp it was over cooked on outside and under cooked in side, it was chewy ( gross ) pushed it aside after 2 bites. Waitress didnt seem concerned when we told her but really didnt expect much else , she basically forgot us most of the time and took forever in-between her visits! She only took 1 buck off the bill.
